Italian hardcore band 217 will release their new album “In Your Gaze” on November 7th, 2025 via Time To Kill Records.

Born and raised on solid hardcore foundations, over time the band has expanded its sonic spectrum, enriching it with new influences and a nostalgic aura that constantly contrasts with their raw, original essence.

“In Your Gaze” marks another step forward in this journey – an album that rejects easy categorization and reflects the courage and honesty with which 217 approach their music.

The new release promises to combine intensity and introspection, keeping hardcore energy as its beating heart while opening up to expressive solutions capable of surprising even their most devoted listeners. It’s a record that seeks to capture the complexity of emotions, shifting between anger and melancholy, showcasing the maturity of a band now ready to leave an even deeper mark on the scene.

The first single “Resumption” is available now: https://ffm.to/217-resumption

The band comments:

“Straightforward old school hardcore wrapped in a dreamy, nostalgic atmosphere. As if bands like Floorpunch, Verse, and Cro-Mags blended their sound with the alternative feel of Pearl Jam and the gothic rock aura of Fields Of The Nephilim. This is a song about the fall and rise of two different people. It could be your story”.

Tracklist:

1. Her Lay, Incorruptible, Ethereal Beauty
2. Resumption
3. Zenit
4. The Day My Father Died
5. Wandering Body
6. The Spinotian Resistance
7. Pit Is Not A Crime (feat. Kate)
8. Nadir
9. Free To Live/Free To Die
10. Cicada’s Swansong
11. You Can Get Rid Of The Past!
12. Hood Crew (by Growing Concern)

217 formed in Pescara in 2018 with the aim of blending old-school hardcore in the vein of bands like Slapshot and Judge with thrash metal influences reminiscent of The Haunted and Slayer.

After a number of live shows, a first European tour, and appearances at national festivals, the band released a debut EP titled “Atheist Agnostic Rationalist” in 2019 through Indelirium Records. The release, featuring songs recorded across multiple sessions, quickly sold out its initial run of 300 copies and circulated widely within the Italian hardcore underground.

In 2020, due to the pandemic, the band was forced to cancel 18 shows scheduled between March and June. The following summer, due to work and family-related issues, three members left the project. However, the band never officially announced a split.

In June 2024, now a four-piece, 217 returned to the rehearsal room to begin writing their debut full-length album. Drawing inspiration from American old-school hardcore (Negative Approach, Uniform Choice, Slapshot, Madball, Bad Brains, Chain of Strength, Growing Concern), mid-’90s new school (108, Have Heart, Snapcase, Abhinanda), as well as math rock, hardcore, and alternative dark rock (Melvins, Botch, Bauhaus, Fields of the Nephilim, Stone Temple Pilots, Killing Joke, The Doors), 217 now presents itself with a renewed and at times dreamlike musical and lyrical identity.

Line-up:

Ivan Di Marco – Voice
Nicola Marinaccio – Guitars
Vittorio Del Prete – Drums
Daniele Fasciani – Bass

October 10 sees the release of “Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum”, the debut full-length album by Berlin-based black metal act HAERESIS, which will be coming out on Vendetta Records!

In support of the new record, the band has unleashed the intense track “Eradicate Taciturnity” today.

The band about the song: “Eradicate Taciturnity is a feminist cry of lament that tears through the silence surrounding oppression and violence. What begins fragile grows into a cathartic turning point. It becomes a visceral portrait of patriarchal oppression and transgenerational trauma and culminates in a combative promise of resilience.“

Listen to “Eradicate Taciturnity” HERE

Tracklist:

  1. Echoes of Ashes
  2. I Who Repel All Light
  3. Drifting Beyond Time’s Grasp
  4. Eradicate Taciturnity

“Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum” – Latin for “If you want peace, prepare for war” – is a powerful and dynamic fusion of genres. The album channels the raw energy of black metal, the expansive atmosphere of cinematic scores, and the relentless weight of post-metal into a multilayered and unflinching sonic experience.

Lyrically, vocalist Christin Graunke explores the fractures of contemporary existence, addressing postmodern alienation, the destructive grip of organized religion, and the brutal mechanics of imperialist aggression. In addition, guest vocalists Natalya Androsova (Machukha) and Yaryna Borynets (Salt Falls, Lori) add haunting and visceral depth that amplifies the emotional resonance of the album.

At the creative center is Daniel Ringl of Lichtlaerm Audio, whose songwriting and production give the album its unmistakable identity. The final mix and mastering by acclaimed producer Dave Otero shape the sound into an uncompromising yet immersive listening experience.

With “Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum”, HAERESIS invites listeners into a soundscape that is raw, introspective, and confrontational. It stands as a bold artistic statement within the contemporary extreme metal landscape. The album will be out on October 10 via Vendetta Records!

Iranian-Norwegian CONFESS Return with Remastered Edition of “In Pursuit Of Dreams”, Out November 7th

Posted by tarjavirmakari on September 22, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: Confess. Leave a comment

Iranian-Norwegian metallers Confess are set to re-release their second album “In Pursuit Of Dreams” on November 7th through their EVIN Productions imprint, complete with three previously unheard tracks; “Watch The Decay Of Sun”, “Convention”, and “Face-Off”. The announcement comes ahead of the release of their latest single “Teh-Hell-Ran”, which was released on September 19th!

Speaking about why they opted to re-release the album, frontman Nikan Khosravi has said:
“To mark the 10th anniversary of “In Pursuit of Dreams”, we are proud to announce a reissue of the album, freshly remastered and featuring three previously unreleased songs, finally revealed after a decade.

This isn’t just an album; it’s a piece of history. The last record we dropped while still in Iran, it became a lightning rod for rebellion, defiance, and unapologetic expression. Just two weeks after its release, the authorities arrested us for its incendiary, protest-fuelled lyrics. This was the spark that ignited a movement and put us on the global map. Widely regarded as one of the most impactful and groundbreaking metal albums in the history of the Middle East, we believe “In Pursuit of Dreams” firmly established our place in the metal world.”

The tracklisting for “In Pursuit Of Dreams” is:

  1. Teh-Hell-Ran
  2. I’m Your God Now!
  3. See You on the Other Side
  4. Thorn Within
  5. 5 Years in Cave
  6. What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Exhausted!
  7. Tsunami of Hate
  8. New World Order
  9. Aborted Déjà Vu
  10. Dysentery
  11. I Want Nothing More but the Past…
  12. The Alphabet of Power
  13. Did You Get My Last Message?
  14. The Last One Standing
  15. Watch the Decay of Sun (Bonus Track)
  16. Convention (Bonus Track)
  17. Face-Off (Bonus Track)

2025 has been an incredible year for Iranian-Norwegian metallers Confess. Back in January, they released stunning new album, “Destination Addiction”, which was produced by frontman Nikan Khosravi, mixed and mastered by Grammy-nominated Alberto De Icaza (Amon Amarth, Clutch, Miss May I, Dead Cross, Upon A Burning Body) and featured performances from extreme metal luminaries George Kollias (Nile) and Marzi Montazeri (ex-Phil Anselmo and Illegals, ex-Superjoint Ritual, ex-Exhorder, Heavy As Texas). Going on to secure rave reviews from the like of Metal Hammer, Norway Rock Magazine, Inferno Magazine, and more.

The band have since been announced for a full feature episode on their story as part of the HULU show “Into The Void: Life, Death & Heavy Metal”, which is set for a US release on September 22nd. Speaking about their inclusion, Khosravi said:
“To have our story told on Hulu and Disney+ by VICE Studios Canada alongside legends like Judas Priest and Randy Rhoads, is unreal. For us, this isn’t just about music. It’s about survival, resistance, and proving that metal has no borders.

Confess has always been about speaking truth through distortion and fury, and this documentary proves that no system can silence metal. We were once called criminals for playing heavy music, now our story is streaming worldwide. That’s not just a win for us. It’s a victory for the entire global metal scene. To be featured alongside the legends we grew up idolizing is an honour we’ll never take lightly. We stand as living proof that metal is alive, dangerous, and unstoppable.”

Formed in 2010 in Tehran, Iran, the band’s ideology reflects the experiences of living under a theoretical political system, combining critiques of organized religion with commentary on sociopolitical issues and personal struggles. Their debut album, “Beginning of Dominion”, was released on January 1st, 2012. By 2014, Confess had released four singles and an EP titled “Back to My Future [2/4]”. The single ‘Encase Your Gun’ emerged after the Iranian regime suppressed the Green Movement in 2009.

Arrests and Imprisonment:
On October 28, 2015, just two weeks after releasing their second album, “In Pursuit of Dreams”, frontman Nikan Khosravi and DJ Arash Ilkhani were arrested by the Revolutionary Guards. They faced charges of blasphemy and propaganda against the state due to their music and interviews. After spending three months in solitary confinement and 15 months in public prison, they were released temporarily on bail pending trial. Initially sentenced to six years each, they appealed the verdict.

Exile and Asylum:
Due to ongoing threats, Nikan fled to Turkey in 2017. In December 2018 he was granted political asylum in Norway. Arash joined him in May 2019 after also seeking asylum in Turkey. In July 2019, in their absence, an appeal court sentenced Nikan to 12 and a half years in prison plus 74 lashes and Arash to two years in prison.

Musical Evolution and Success:
Upon settling in Norway, Confess experimented with seven-string guitars and modern death metal sounds while retaining their signature groove. In 2022, they welcomed three new members and began touring without fear. They released their third album, “Revenge at All Costs”, on January 21, 2022, inspired by their struggles and experiences. The album received critical acclaim, earning high ratings from several metal publications and saw the band featured in prominent media outlets like Sky News, The Guardian and BBC.

Recent Activities:
In September 2022, Confess signed a worldwide management deal with Extreme Management Group in New York. They continued to face challenges from the Iranian regime, including social media attacks, but remained inspired and productive. They supported Nile on their European tour, performing across 11 countries and 16 cities, solidifying their presence in the global metal scene. In September 2024 Confess supported Belphegor and Malevolent Creation on their European run before appearing at the Vagos Metal Fest in Portugal and Viborg Metal Fest in Denmark. The band’s new album “Destination Addiction” released on January 31st, 2025, through EVIN Productions to rave reviews.

MAAHES Celebrate Release of New “Nechacha” Album with Ominous New Track & Video ‘Magic Slave’

German black metal force MAAHES return with their second full-length opus “Nechacha” – a record which is heavier, darker, and more orchestral than anything they have released before. The album is available as Mediabook, limited vinyl LP, and digital formats. Order/listen to it now: https://save-it.cc/massacre/nechacha

To celebrate the release MAAHES unleash their new single “Magic Slave”, accompanied by a striking music video that captures the song’s dark intensity.

Lyrically, “Magic Slave” dives deep into the realm of dark magic. The narrator seizes complete control over the bodies and minds of their victims, turning them into mere puppets under their command. It’s a chilling and powerful portrayal of domination and sorcery that fits seamlessly into the band’s occult aesthetic.

Musically, the track blends the band’s signature black metal sound with thrash influences, delivering crushing, heavy riffs. The addition of orchestral layers and haunting piano passages amplifies the epic and ominous atmosphere, reaching its peak in the commanding chorus.

With “Magic Slave”, MAAHES reaffirm their identity: dark, monumental, and steeped in mysticism.

Named after the flagellum, the ancient Egyptian symbol of dominion held by pharaohs and gods, “Nechacha” marks a new era for MAAHES: epic arrangements, monumental orchestration, and a deeper descent into the blackened void — without abandoning the raw ferocity of their earlier works.

While their 2020 debut “Reincarnation” was firmly rooted in traditional black metal, “Nechacha” expands the band’s vision with cinematic scope, reminiscent of early Dimmu Borgir, yet unmistakably forged in the unique atmosphere of MAAHES.

“Nechacha” delves into ancient Egyptian ritual, occultism, divine madness, and the legacy of fallen empires. The eleven tracks move between themes of rebirth and destruction, hubris and devotion, domination and transcendence, shaping a sonic temple where myth and metal collide.

Track listing:

  1. Magic Slave
  2. The Resurrection
  3. Lord of the Underworld
  4. Morbid Love
  5. Cult of the Sun
  6. The Crown and the Sceptre
  7. Keeper of Secrets
  8. Obsidian
  9. Patron Saint of Pharaohs (feat. Lele Habel)
  10. Medusa
  11. Nephthys’ Tears (Remixed & Remastered)

“Nechacha” was produced by Thomas Winnerl and Heiko Müller and mixed by Heiko Müller and V. Santura at Woodshed Studios. Marcus Röll / Autumn Arts crafted the cover artwork.

MAAHES live:
27.09.2025 DE – Erfurt , From Hell
04.10.2025 DE – Essen, Turock
17.10.2025 DE – Cham, LA
18.10.2025 DE – Leipzig, Hellraiser
24.10.2025 DE – Bochum, Matrix
25.10.2025 DE – Berlin , Orwohaus
01.11.2025 DE – Herford, Kulturhaus
07.11.2025 DE – Heidelberg, Halle02
21.11.2025 DE – München, Backstage

Formed in 2015 in Grafenau (Bavarian Forest, Germany), MAAHES first explored Greek mythology on their debut EP “Ancient Force” (2016), before fully embracing an Egyptian concept in music, lyrics, and aesthetics. Festival appearances followed at Wolfszeit and Ragnarök (2018).

In 2020, the band signed with MDD Records and released their debut full-length “Reincarnation”, followed by extensive touring across clubs, festivals, and Eastern Europe. Performances included Dark Easter Metal Meeting, Barther Metal Open Air, and tours with Eisregen.

With “Nechacha”, set for release in September 2025, MAAHES stand ready to ascend to the next level—armed with an album that is at once uncompromisingly black, deeply atmospheric, and conceptually unyielding.

Horus – Vocals, Bass
Thot – Backing Vocals, Guitars
Sobek – Drums

After recently announcing their worldwide record deal with PERCEPTION – A Division of Reigning Phoenix Music, A COLD PARADISE  now reveal a sing-through video for their brand-new single “Talking To The Moon”!

Following the explosive debut single, “El Perdón”, A COLD PARADISE takes a bold turn: the second single is a daring metal cover of Bruno Mars’ hit of the same name. With his trademark powerhouse vocals, Antonio Calanna — also known as the exceptional singer of ALL FOR METAL — transforms this smooth pop-R&B classic into an emotional metal anthem, blending melancholy with raw strength, resilience, and a rebellious edge.

“This time, it’s a chance to get romantic with a bit of power. ‘Talking To The Moon’ is one of those songs you wouldn’t normally imagine as a metal cover, but I took on the challenge of transforming one of the most vocally demanding songs for a male singer into something truly special for me,” Antonio reveals. “I wanted to preserve the song’s smooth and intense emotional core while bringing it into the metal world. I hope you’ll enjoy this new interpretation!”

To celebrate the release, Antonio went beyond a simple single drop and organized a special release party at Heimatrock in Ladenburg. The event drew an enthusiastic crowd and was close to selling out, reflecting the growing interest around  A COLD PARADISE and Antonio’s strong connection with his audience.

With A COLD PARADISE, Antonio Calanna has launched his most personal and ambitious project to date: a modern metal force merging cinematic vocals, heavy riffs, and creative stage energy. ACP is not just a band, but a full-scale artistic universe, ready to redefine the boundaries of metal.

Antonio brings together a world-class cast of musicians, dancers, and creatives – whose names are going to be revealed soon – to deliver a genre-defying live experience that blends epic metal riffs, haunting melodies, and breathtaking choreography. Fans can look forward to a thrilling ride, as A COLD PARADISE will keep the energy alive and your speakers rocking nonstop!

Evil Scarecrow triumphantly return with their 5th studio album “Silicon Tea“.

We live in turbulent times where what we need more than ever is a bit of light entertainment, but even Evil Scarecrow can’t fail to address some of the more serious issues of the moment, be it our inadvertent servitude to corporate overlords, or the likelihood of Armageddon being kickstarted by a failure to update software. However, they also bring your attention back to the more fundamental problems of daily life, like bad weather at festivals and the challenge of trying to figure out which of your bins is supposed to be put out this week.

Dr Hell comments: “We really wanted to write an album that brings together our varied tastes and love for heavy music. We have leaned into pop punk with “Green Bin Day”, rewound to the 80s with “The Future Machine”, and god only knows what genre “Welly in the Mud” is… Brown Metal? I dunno. Anyway, we hope there is something for everyone, or nothing for no-one, or everything for one very weird person. But it’s an album that we, as a band, are very proud of.”

As ever, Evil Scarecrow bring you an eclectic mix of influences with a huge dose of absurd humour, what more could you ask for?

The band also have their ‘Silicon Tea Party‘ at Saltbox in Nottingham on 5th October to celebrate the launch of the new album, featuring an album playback, live acoustic set, photo opportunities & cake!.  Tickets are available exclusively from Kickstarter here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/evilscarecrow/evil-scarecrow-silicon-tea-vinyl-and-cd-release

Premature Obsolescence Tour Tickets are on sale now, support for all dates is Andrew O’Neill
This tour will support the release of Evil Scarecrow’s long awaited 5th studio album “Silicon Tea”, which is released on 1st October via Deadbox Records.

With new songs comes a new show, and the band are busy in the ‘Crow’s Nest Garden Shed working on new ridiculous props and absurd video ideas. Keep an eye on the band socials for a sneak peek behind the scenes!

The band are delighted to have the hilarious and wonderful Andrew O’Neill joining them for this tour. Andrew is an award-winning comedian, musician and author of “A History of Heavy Metal”, if you’ve not seen Andrew perform before you are in for a real treat!
