CREMATE Sign with Wormholedeath, New EP “Ready To Fight” Out This November

Wormholedeath Records proudly welcomes CREMATE, the legendary Athens-based death/thrash metal act, to their roster. The band is set to release their much-anticipated EP Ready To Fight on November 7, 2025, marking a fierce return that bridges their cult 1990s roots with a fresh, modern sonic assault.

Formed in 1991 in Alimos, Athens by high school friends Christos (guitar/vocals) and Leonidas (drums), CREMATE quickly carved out a raw and aggressive niche blending death and thrash metal—drawing inspiration from titans like Kreator and Sodom. Their 1993 demo End of Time garnered international acclaim through critical reviews, radio play, and devoted underground support.

Following lineup changes and relentless live shows praised by Metal Hammer and other media, CREMATE released the 7″ EP Enchanting Black Recess in 1995 via Dark Side Records. However, a full-length album never materialized as the band disbanded soon after.

In 2021, founder Christos reignited CREMATE alongside drummer George and longtime collaborator Akis Pastras (Dexter Ward, Damon Systema, Nightfall). Revisiting their seminal demo, Christos re-envisioned the material by infusing dark synthesized atmospheres, samples, and new arrangements that intensify the band’s signature 90s death/thrash fury.

The result is Ready To Fight, a 4-track EP embodying raw energy through a contemporary production lens. It features three reworked classics—“Another Pain Born” reborn as “Human,” “Die as You Lived” enhanced with haunting violin by Lusty Apricot—and the brand-new title track showcasing a blistering solo from Marios Iliopoulos (Nightrage). Recorded and mixed by Akis Pastras and mastered by George Nerantzis (Abbath, Rotting Christ, Gus G.), the EP delivers an uncompromising fusion of vintage aggression and modern dark textures.

Ready To Fight symbolizes CREMATE’s powerful rebirth, honoring their 1993 cult demo while boldly pushing forward. The EP is a must-listen for fans of authentic death/thrash metal with an atmospheric edge—heavy, relentless, and uniquely dynamic.

“Ghost From The 80s” is the lead single from THE OTHER’s long-awaited new album “Alienated” – and is fittingly released just in time for Halloween 2025. Europe’s most famous horror punk band delivers the perfect soundtrack for the spooky season already now at the end of September: a catchy tune that no Halloween playlist should be without.

The track combines an extraordinary wave-inspired atmosphere with the band’s signature dark, driving sound – enhanced by unmistakable 80s-style keyboards that fans of the era will immediately embrace.

Singer Rod Usher explains: “The song is inspired by the teen horror classics of the time – Ghostbusters, Gremlins, Beetlejuice, Fright Night, House – and tells the story of a ghost that haunts an old VCR from a flea market and catapults its owner back to the 1980s. Of course, we had to use appropriate keyboards in the chorus – they would have suited bands like Europe or Journey well.”

Cool, campy, and with a hookline to die for, “Ghost From The 80s” is the perfect anthem for the spookiest and most beautiful time of the year.

The accompanying video (directed by Mirko Witzki – Emil Bulls, Caliban, Nachtblut) features comedy writer, podcaster, actor, and musician Jan C. Müller, who stumbles as a haunted hero straight into a wild, colorful 80s party – led, of course, by head ghost Rod Usher and his eerily charming troupe. But who knows: maybe it was all just a nightmare?

“Alienated”, set for release on October 31st, 2025 via Massacre Records, marks THE OTHER’s first album since the chart success “Haunted” (2020). Probably the band’s darkest record to date, it also represents a triumphant return to their classic horror punk sound.
