CONSTELLATIA Release ‘In Vituperation’ Studio Performance

Post-black metal band CONSTELLATIA are releasing a new studio performance of “In Vituperation”, the second song from their 2022 album Magisterial Romance. The song is one of the album’s most concentrated studies in atmosphere and tension, built around the experience of being inexplicably bound to another person, that gravity that defies rational account.

Magisterial Romance is out on Season of Mist. Order: https://redirect.season-of-mist.com/Constellatia-MR

The playthrough features Constellatia’s current lineup: Gideon Lamprecht & Matthew Cox on guitars, Keenan Oakes on bass and vocals, and Jonathan Burgers on drums. The performance offers a direct window into the architecture of a song that, on record, was largely the work of Lamprecht and Oakes as a duo, with Lamprecht handling all recording, production and mixing at his home studio in Cape Town. Seeing it rendered by a full band clarifies the compositional scale the two had in mind from the outset.

The playthrough arrives ahead of three upcoming live shows that Constellatia are playing in South Africa. The band will perform at District in their hometown of Cape Town on April 4, followed by Tweefontein Melkery in Johannesburg on May 16 as part of the Massacre (US) South Africa tour, and The Armchair in Cape Town on June 11 as part of the Vígljós (CH) African tour.

Following the end of Wildernessking’s career, Keenan Oakes had to continue making music, despite the difficulties of playing in a metal band in Cape Town, South Africa. Regardless, Oakes joined forces with Crow Black Sky’s Gideon Lamprecht in 2018 to create the musical entity known as Constellatia. Taken from the word ‘constellation’, Constellatia refers to the nature of existence and the natural world, the cosmos, and extracting meaning and happiness from it all. The band’s somber take on progressive black metal encapsulates inherently human subjects; a distillation of life’s meander, sadness and tribulations.

Inspired by artists such as Opeth, Mastodon, The Cure, Primordial, Neurosis, Wolves in the Throne Room, Pink Floyd, Beach House, Agalloch, Emperor and Cult of Luna, Constellatia imbue their stark musical landscape with ferocity and reverie. Following the release of their debut record via Isolation Records in 2019, The Language of Limbs, Constellatia was very quick to garner the attention of listeners around the world, leading to their acknowledgement and subsequent signing to the large, independent record label, Season of Mist. While The Language of Limbs sounds bleak and tends to instill a sense of longing within the listener, it too sparks an idyllic feeling of catharsis with the mesmerizing atmospheric soundscapes and subtle intoxicating harmonies.

Now with Season of Mist’s support moving forward with their sophomore record, Constellatia have the footing and foundation to fully expand on their musical endeavours. The new album which is set to release on November the 11th 2022, shows Constellatia continuing to evolve on their already mature sound, creating these larger-than-life romantic compositions that express the emotional spectrum of simply being; an amorphous progressive metal experience enriched with lavish ambiance and ripe with spirit, unique to them alone.

From the very start, the goal with Constellatia was to create emotionally dense and textured metal that is both transcendent and incredibly human. With the release of their upcoming record later this year, Constellatia will reveal just how much more dynamic and vulnerable their music has become. It may seem that the band is now hitting their stride, but they have only just begun. Plans are being made to tour the many corners of the world in support of their new album and subsequent releases.

To love
The wheels of this great turning
Dispel the grey aura you’ve known
Deepen the joy, stars aglow

Following the electrifying kickoff of their extensive European tour, metal legends KREATOR are keeping the momentum alive with the release of a brand-new music video for ‘Loyal To The Grave,’ the powerful closing track of their latest studio album, Krushers Of The World.

Showcasing a different side of the band’s signature intensity, ‘Loyal To The Grave‘ stands out as one of the album’s most memorable moments. Driven by a highly melodic approach and elevated by a soaring, anthemic chorus, the track captures both the aggression and emotional depth that have defined KREATOR’s enduring legacy. The accompanying video visually amplifies this spirit, blending striking performance footage with cinematic storytelling that underscores themes of loyalty, unity, and resilience.

Mille Petrozza commented:
“The video was inspired by the Movie “ The Crow” this time. I hope you enjoy our little journey into obscurity as much as we do.”

Currently tearing through Europe alongside Exodus, Carcass, and Nails, KREATOR have been delivering spectacular shows to fans across the continent. The tour continues through the end of April, cementing the band’s reputation as one of the most formidable live acts in metal.

Looking ahead, KREATOR will take their explosive live show across the Atlantic this May, joining forces with Carcass and Cold Steel for a highly anticipated U.S. tour. With no signs of slowing down, 2026 is shaping up to be another landmark year for the band.

ABOUT KREATOR:

When KREATOR’s earliest incarnation formed under the influence of Kiss and Judas Priest in the early 80’s none of the above was thinkable. For young adults, Essen, back then a 600k plus city in the Ruhr area, was a grim place. Unemployment rates were surging, houses had been blackened by smoke from factories and coal mines, for some alcohol and drug abuse were the only escape route from this dismal, post-industrialized backdrop.

Whereas Birmingham spawned Black Sabbath and undoubtedly became the legitimate birthplace of heavy metal, the bands associated with the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal like Iron Maiden, Venom, Saxon pushed the genre with a street-fighting attitude, US artists such as Metallica, Exodus, Slayer, and Swedes Bathory intensified the style even more, and altogether concocted a dangerous brew KREATOR poured down their throats in gallons. For today’s remaining founding members Mille and drummer Jürgen “Ventor” Reil, music was the way out from these dire surroundings, and provided an outlet for the frustration and contempt boiling in their guts. And KREATOR went all in. Naive, chaotic yet utterly determined.

And they left their own mark on heavy metal history, radicalizing thrash and inspiring legions of musicians including Arch Enemy, Cannibal Corpse, Behemoth and Ghost, with Papa Emeritus joining a TV performance of ‘Satan Is Real’ in 2017.

Their newest studio album, Krushers Of The World, shows a band that has lost none of its bite kicking off with the rabid aggression of ‘Seven Serpents’. It also tackles Petrozza’s love for horror flicks by paying tribute to Dario Argento’s Suspiria in ‘Tränenpalast’ with extreme metal vocal coach Britta Görtz (Hiraes) adding her own vicious tone over dark yet catchy melodies. And of course, you shall have hefty doses of pure, thrashing aggression as well! ‘Barbarian’, ‘Deathscream’ or ‘Psychotic Imperator’ deliver your fix of merciless riffs, majestic leads by Sami Yli-Sirniö and some of Ventor’s fastest parts ever. Are you looking for powerful mid-tempo sections allowing bassist Frédéric Leclercq to shine? Then the monumental groove of the title track and stunning chorus of ‘Satanic Anarchy’ will have you covered. Rounded off by a triumphant and – no pun intended – krushing production courtesy of Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios, who previously worked with the group on Phantom Antichrist (2012) and Gods Of Violence (2017), KREATOR return in perfect shape.

A novelty to Krushers Of The World is immediately obvious when staring at its cover. With Zbigniew Bielak, renowned for his work for Ghost, art and design offer an interesting twist to KREATOR’s history. Transforming classic visual trademarks dedicated fans will recognise from Coma Of Souls (1990), Out of the Dark… into the Light (1988) and Pleasure To Kill (the font!) into a highly detailed tapestry garnered with occult symbolism, Bielak crafted an outstanding piece paying homage to a band he loves since his teenager days yet with a daring and unique flair. The cover of Krushers Of The World rewards everyone willing to analyze the grandiose sleeve design.

In essence, Krushers Of The World is of course not a throwback to KREATOR’s past, it is furious, massive sounding and creative in its own right, gifted with a songwriting quality honed over years. It displays a band which earned its spot among the giants of the genre, and developed its youthful anger further into a professional, internationally successful, nonetheless intimidating creature. Krushers Of The World underlines the fact that fueled by the reflective look at their own legacy sparked by 2025’s Hate & Hope movie, KREATOR nowadays appear more mindful of their early days while simultaneously progressing uncompromisingly, unstoppable in their search for new realms to conquer and new worlds to krush.

PINO SCOTTO Unveils Official Video for ‘Phantom Humanity’

March 27th, 2026, marked a new, hard-hitting chapter in the career of PINO SCOTTO: the official music video for “PHANTOM HUMANITY” is now available. A track that strikes with force and without filters, anticipating one of the artist’s most intense and meaningful works to date.

The song is taken from the brand-new studio album “The Devil’s Call”, a record that goes beyond mere listening—it demands to be experienced. Eleven tracks that dig deep into reality, blending personal reflections with sharp social commentary, all delivered through Scotto’s raw, authentic, and unmistakable voice.

“PHANTOM HUMANITY”: A DARK MIRROR OF THE PRESENT

With “PHANTOM HUMANITY”, Pino Scotto lays bare a hollow, disillusioned, almost ghost-like society. A phantom humanity moving without awareness—numb, detached, and unable to recognize itself.

The official video amplifies this message through powerful and symbolic imagery, transforming the track into an intense and unsettling visual experience, perfectly aligned with the artist’s vision.

Maltese SAĦĦAR Signs to Time To Kill Records, New Full-Length Album Coming

Posted by tarjavirmakari on March 30, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: Sahhar, SAĦĦAR. Leave a comment

Maltese black metal enyity SAĦĦAR has officially joined the roster of Time To Kill Records, marking a new chapter in its ever-evolving path.

Emerging from a scene far removed from the genre’s more saturated circuits, SAĦĦAR brings with it a distinct identity shaped by isolation, heritage, and a deeply personal artistic vision.

The upcoming full-length album promises a refined take on the project’s signature sound: a form of black metal infused with fresh dynamics, subtle melodic undercurrents and a pervasive sense of decay that envelops the material in a bleak, almost otherworldly atmosphere.

Balancing aggression and introspection, the new work aims to push further into expressive territory while maintaining the raw essence that has defined SAĦĦAR’s output to date.

More details about the album will be revealed soon.

SAĦĦAR began as the brainchild of Marton Saliba, with the aim of creating harsh and extreme music rooted in black metal. From the outset, the project has balanced raw, blast-beat-driven tracks with more mid-tempo material enriched by synths and samples, often blending these elements together. Most of the lyrics are written in Maltese, SAĦĦAR’s native language. The first demo, “Genesis of Demise”, followed a year later by the album “Maġija Sewda”, gained attention both locally and within the wider underground scene during the MySpace era.

Following the well-received split “Thine Triumphant Death” and a subsequent album that was never officially released, SAĦĦAR entered an indefinite hiatus. The project returned in 2013 with renewed intensity through the EP “Mera Mkissra”, showcasing a stronger focus on folklore elements, mid-tempo pacing, and synth-heavy arrangements. From then on, SAĦĦAR maintained a steady output, releasing an average of one EP or album per year until 2020, when the pandemic brought activities to a halt—though writing and studio work continued in preparation for future releases.

The release of the 2015 album “Kruha u Kefrija” also marked SAĦĦAR’s live debut, leading to performances supporting acts such as Destroyer 666, black metal legends Mayhem, and industrial outfit Gothminister. During the pandemic, SAĦĦAR remained active by contributing to online events, including Metal Injection’s “Slayathome” series and the Grimfest online festival.

In early 2020, SAĦĦAR was nominated at the Malta Music Awards in both the “Metal” and “Album in Maltese” categories for “Qilla tal-Qrun”, which was well received within the scene. In late 2022, the project embarked on its first tour with a live lineup, spanning nine consecutive days across four countries (Hungary, Slovakia, Bulgaria, and Romania), marking an important step forward in its live evolution.

SAĦĦAR’s sound can be described as “ruinous” black metal—combining grand, larger-than-life symphonic elements with minimal, almost doom-like riffs, as well as intense tremolo-driven passages and ambient, synth-based compositions. This wide-ranging approach is reflected in a discography of over 100 songs. Lyrical themes range from occult and folklore-inspired narratives to death, misanthropic catastrophes, and occasional critiques of organized religion.

SOTABOSC Unveil Haunting New Single ‘Freyja’ from Forthcoming Debut Full-Length

Posted by tarjavirmakari on March 30, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: SOTABOSC. Leave a comment

Barcelona-based atmospheric black metal outfit SOTABOSC unveil “Freyja”, the second single from their forthcoming debut full-length “El Batec dels Maquis”, set for release on April 17 via Dunk!Records. Following the sprawling intensity of their first single, the band delivers a track that fuses mythological symbolism with historical memory into a deeply evocative composition.

“Freyja” started life as an instrumental piece for Ulmus, the solo project of SOTABOSC’s Xavi Forné, inspired by the Norse goddess. In its reinterpretation, the concept shifts into the context of the Maquis, where Freyja becomes a metaphor for the women of the resistance. Like the goddess – associated with war, death, and fertility – these women embody strength, care, and determination amidst conflict. Not as a distant myth, but as a real, silenced, and essential presence.

Stream the single HERE

Founded in 2023 in Barcelona by Oscar Linares and Manel Song (Syberia) alongside Xavi Forné (Ulmus, Error! Design), the band solidified in 2025 with vocalist David Rodríguez and bassist Gerard Serrano, completing a lineup deeply connected to the Catalan underground. Firmly rooted in an anti-fascist ethos, SOTABOSC convey their message entirely in Catalan, pairing lyrics with a carefully crafted visual identity spanning artwork, logos, and stage aesthetics.

Tracklist:

01. Nerthus
02. Heimdall
03. Freyja
04. El batec dels Maquis / Records vius en la foscor

“El Batec dels Maquis” unfolds in two halves – The first reimagines three compositions from Ulmus, originally instrumental and written for acoustic instruments, now transformed into a sound shaped by atmospheric black metal with strong post-rock influences. The new lyrics focus on animals, forests and the natural environment, forming a narrative arc that connects with the second half of the album.

The second part consists of a single track exceeding 15 minutes, where SOTABOSC expresses its purest musical identity: raw black metal roots, expansive instrumental passages and experimental structures inspired by post-rock. The vocals – harsh and evocative – pay tribute to the Maquis and their anti-Francoist resistance in Catalonia during and after the Civil War.

With this debut, SOTABOSC establishes a project in which identity, narrative intent and sonic depth merge into an artistic statement that is both musical and political.

“El Batec dels Maquis” was recorded, mixed and mastered at Siete Barbas Studio in Barcelona by Daniel Gil, with layout design handled by Error! Design and symbology created by Woodcvtter Illustration.

Line-up:
Xavi Forné (Error! Design, Malämmar, Ulmus)
Òscar Linares (Syberia)
Manel Song (Amargor, Syberia)
David Rodríguez (Arna)
Gerard Serrano (Hurricäde, Llacuna, Leavs)

DEVORZHUM Unleash New Song ‘Czas Zemsty’ from Upcoming Mini-Album “O królestwie, którego nigdy nie było…”

Posted by tarjavirmakari on March 30, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: DEVORZHUM. Leave a comment

DEVORZHUM is a quite fresh band on the Polish metal scene formed in 2021 where in the line-up we can find experienced musician – Szymon “Simon” Bieńkowski well-known of playing in the past in such bands as Morbus Mortifer, Supreme Lord, Vomigod, Depravity and Rigor Mortis.

Less than three years ago, the band released their debut album, “Exigens Monumentum,” which was very well received by both the media and listeners. The band has been working hard on their new release and will soon release a nearly 30-minute concept mini-album that tells a dark tale, full of blood, pain, and suffering.

The Poznań-based black metal band takes us on a journey to the burning, blood-soaked Middle East. “O królestwie, którego nigdy nie było…” is a tale of suffering, death, and revenge. A story that is not a myth or a fictionalized narrative, but a long-standing reality for families, ethnic groups, and entire nations. A reality that is still largely shaped by religious fanaticism.

The new release is a four-song concept in which the band expands their music with new layers and a more complex narrative. Devorzhum develops their existing sound, but gives it even greater intensity and weight. The band does not abandon its identity, but rather pursues it further – towards greater space, tension, and emotional depth.

“O królestwie, którego nigdy nie było…” is a cohesive work both musically and thematically – raw in its message, yet more mature in its form. And this is just the beginning of a story the band is already announcing its continuation.

The music for upcoming record was recorded, mixed and mastered by Simon. Cover artwork was done by ET-40. Band logo by Kontamination Design (Akhlys, Dimmu Borgir, Taake). Band live photo was done by A. Werens. New album will be released on April 10, 2026 in digital format and CD by Polish label Via Nocturna (pre-order).
