KAIRA Release New Single ‘Sairas Paska’ – Raw And Heavy Track about Psychological Abuse And Survival

Founded in 2020, Finnish metal band KAIRA has just released their latest single, “Sairas Paska” – a track that pulls no punches in sound or message. With its heavy, driving energy and unfiltered lyrics, the song speaks directly to those who’ve experienced narcissism, manipulation, and emotional abuse.

“It was around 2023 when our guitarist Panu shared a demo titled Sairas Paska, and I immediately knew we had to keep the name. It was brutally honest – just like the song itself. The theme came together naturally from there. This is also the first track we’ve done with Antti Myllynen, who joined the band in 2024,” says vocalist Jasse Jatala.

Sairas Paska is raw, relentless, and rhythmically gripping – a sonic outcry for those who’ve endured emotional violence and found the strength to scream back.

KAIRA is:
Jasse Jatala – Lead vocals & lyrics
Markus Räipiö – Bass & backing vocals
Panu Siik – Guitar & backing vocals
Antti Myllynen – Synth & backing vocals
Kimmo Brandt – Guitar
Sami Lönnberg – Drums

BLACKLIST UNION Release New Single ‘Dyin’ 4 U’ from Upcoming Album

Posted by tarjavirmakari on September 8, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: BLACKLIST UNION. Leave a comment

Blacklist Union has officially released their latest single, “Dyin’ 4 U,” available now on all streaming platforms.

The track delivers a raw and emotional punch, drawing from frontman Tony West’s personal struggles. “‘Dyin’ 4 U’ is about the hideous divorce and pain I went through and even though I still deeply love her, I refuse to die for her,” West shares.

“Dyin’ 4 U” is taken from the band’s highly anticipated upcoming album, Slay the Dragon, scheduled for release on September 12, 2025. The record will mark Blacklist Union’s sixth full-length release, further cementing their place as one of modern hard rock’s most uncompromising voices.

With their signature mix of gritty rock ’n’ roll attitude and unflinching honesty, Blacklist Union continues to deliver music that is as powerful as it is personal.

Blacklist Union have built a reputation on their explosive live shows and unapologetically bold sound. Their previous record, Letters from the Psych Ward, racked up over two million streams, setting the stage for the band’s new album.

Frontman Tony West, known for his larger-than-life presence, took time out to dive deep into several transformative ayahuasca journeys in the heart of the Amazon, preparing for this next era of music.

As Tony put it, “Ayahuasca isn’t a drug—it’s powerful spiritual medicine from another realm. It helped me heal in ways I never thought possible, releasing layers of trauma, heartache, and sorrow. I’m not perfect—not Gandhi or anything—but it changed everything. My entire view of myself, love, the world, people, and my children changed because of those experiences.”

“Dyin’ 4 U” was written by Tony West / Christopher Johnson, produced and mixed by Christopher Johnson. It was recorded at East West Studios in Hollywood, CA.

Slay the Dragon Tracklist:

  1. Mississippi Moonhound
  2. Up in Smoke
  3. Can You Heal Me
  4. Dyin’ 4 U
  5. Do It For The Song
  6. Free At Last
  7. All Hail the King
  8. Horns and Halos
  9. Hey Mr. Superstar
  10. Rock N Roll Soldier
  11. X Marks the Spot
  12. Slay the Dragon

Blacklist Union frontman Tony West was raised in the Bronx on The Ramones, Bad Brains, and NYHC. Hearing the call of the wild west, he made his way to Los Angeles at 19 years old.

Tony took a break from L.A. to try out Memphis in 1998. While he was there, he attended the first Saliva gig with Paul Crosby on drums. This marked the beginning of a lifelong friendship between Paul and Tony, leading to management, song collaborations, and guest appearances in a few videos. Tony collaborated with guitarist Todd Youth (Murphy’s Law /Danzig) and Malfunkshun, which was kept active by Andy Wood’s brother Kevin Wood. Andy Wood is Tony’s muse, and he was honored to sing in his hero’s band.

I formed Blacklist Union because I wanted to play music that I wanted to hear, and we put out the first Blacklist Union record, After the Mourning, in 2006. The band’s name comes from getting the best musicians with the worst reputations in town. With a shamanistic blend of Stone Temple Pilots, Guns N’ Roses, Warrior Soul, The Cult, and Mother Love Bone… Blacklist Union was born.

Upcoming Show:
9/13/25 @ Bar Sinister in Hollywood

Tony West -Lead Vocals
Raf Ransom – Lead Guitar
Dee Hayes – Rhythm Guitar
Larry Harwood – Bass
Justin Perez – Drums

SWIM THE CURRENT Release New Single + Video ‘Set It Off’

The dynamic rock band Swim the Current is excited to announce the release of their latest single, “Set It Off”, via TLG|ZOID, distributed by Virgin Music Group. This incredible new track was co-produced by George Pond and David Caplinger.

Alongside the single, Swim the Current also premiered the official music video for “Set It Off” that was directed by Tom Flynn. The video delivers a spoof on the cult-classic film Point Break, along with the band’s high-octane performance.

It is criminal not to watch it now!

STREAM “Set It Off”: https://ffm.to/stc-set-it-off

The band’s vocalist, Marcos Leal states, “The song defines everything Swim The Current is and the message we carry,  a little bit of Texas country mixed with our heavy metal roots, with an attitude that won’t lay down for anyone. Get on board and enjoy the ride! It’s the echo in the tale you tried to bury, rising soft but sharp through the silence.  A thorn in the story you spun in gold, blooming louder each time you lied.”

The band will be playing The Stone Pony in Asbury, NJ on Friday, October 3rd with Close Enemies.

Bringing together an all-star lineup of rock talents, including vocalist Marcos Leal (formerly of Ill Niño), bassist George Pond (Disciples of Verity), guitarist Greg Antine, drummer Chris Moore (George Lynch, Ultraphonix, Rock of Ages), and lead guitarist Joe Gareri, takes the band’s sound to new heights.

Having played in numerous bands throughout the years, Guitarist Greg Antine came to a point in his career where he wanted to branch out and write songs that had more depth and were inspired by his personal life experiences. Having worked with Bassist George Pond for several years in previous projects including, Disciples Of Verity, Greg expressed his concept for Swim The Current to George in hopes of collaborating with him on this new music venture. The two began to flesh out ideas in George’s home studio and realized quickly that they were on to something special, but still needed something more to see their ideas through to complete their concepts. Greg was introduced to Joe Gareri, Guitar/Keyboards, by George during the Disciples Of Verity debut album recording sessions which Joe is also featured on as a guest artist. The three of them immediately hit it off and worked extremely well together. Greg and George realized that Joe’s cinematic writing style would be a perfect match for their concepts and Joe was then brought in as a full time member. After two songs were completed and demo’d in George’s studio utilizing programmed drums, it was suggested by their friend Allyson Song River Jaynes, that they reach out to her friend, drummer Chris Moore of Ultraphonix, Rock Of Ages, to see if he would be interested in working with the project. Upon hearing the strength of songwriting and musicianship of the band, Chris was all in and signed on as the fourth full time member of STC and now the band, from an instrument’s perspective, was complete.

The final missing piece for STC was a lead vocalist who could capture the sound they envisioned for their music. After working in the studio with a few different vocalists, George ultimately reached out to his friend Marcos Leal, of legendary international touring band Ill Nino. Marcos loved the music of STC as well as having the freedom and creativity of writing lyrics for the project. After recording their first song together with Marcos, “We Are Not The Same”, everyone new that this lineup was something special and Swim The Current was now complete! The release of “We Are Not The Same” took off instantly, and amassed thousands of streams, YouTube views and followers through a total organic DIY social media campaign.

Swim The Current’s sound is influenced and reminiscent of many of their favorite artists including, Deftones, Faith No More, Sevendust, POD, and Stabbing Westward. They continue to write new music and look forward to sharing their future releases with the world!

WALTER TROUT Holds on to the Feeling of Wonder on New Single ‘I Remember’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on September 8, 2025

Walter Trout holds onto the feeling of wonder on his new single, I Remember, which is taken from his new studio album, ‘Sign Of The Times,’ which is out today via Provogue. Watch the lyric video HERE.

Great artists such as Walter Trout take the pulse of their times. In his half-century as a street-level social observer and scaldingly honest songwriter, blues-rock’s resilient icon, Walter Trout, has never told his fans what to think, how to feel, where to stand politically, or what to write on their protest placards. But on the iconic US bluesman’s hard-rocking new album, Sign Of The Times, it is becoming the primal scream and pressure valve we all desperately need.

For all the album’s dissonance and peeling away of layers of social issues, Walter has always been an incredibly vivid storyteller, and with that, the honesty that seeps into it.

With its dancing guitar lick and undeniable chorus, his latest single I Remember is also a moment of respite from the album’s stormier subject matter. “That song is a longing for when life was simpler,” he explains. “Like, when I was 20 and starting out. Or when Marie and I had just got together, and we had no money and were pawning guitars, but we were madly in love, and the future was ahead of us. We didn’t have anything, but we felt like we had much more, because the world was alive with the promise of what would be revealed.”

The lyric video that accompanies the song follows our storyteller’s journey throughout life. Watch it until the end for a heartwarming tale of enduring and lasting love.

Talking further about the song, he adds. “I see so many people of my generation who seem to lose their passion and their joy of life. I wanted to write a song without nostalgia about holding on to the feelings of wonder you had when you were young. So the song is about holding on to the excitement of each day, even as an older person. If you can remember that feeling, do everything you can to hang on to it. Don’t let it go. Live it – don’t let age stop you.”

I Remember is the latest single from the new album, following the title track, Sign of the Times, which is one of the most experimental cuts in Trout’s half-century studio output. It finds a monstrous guitar tone paired with massed chants and an out-there solo that few blues gods would dare put down on tape. “I’ve played it for blues fans who were outraged,” he admits. “But I wanted to outrage people. I wanted it to be dissonant. Dissonance is a sign of the times. This followed the first single, Artificial, which dropped on the day he announced the new album and is a scornful, satirical, harmonica-spiced rebuke of the fake world we risk creating.

Even by Trout’s standards, Sign Of The Times is a record that puts you through the emotional wringer. But as long as there’s poignant and relevant music, we have a fighting chance.

As a lifelong road warrior, Trout will be taking the Sign Of The Times material to global audiences throughout 2025. And for those glorious two hours of playing to audiences, political divides and culture wars will crumble as a crowd with little else common melts into a communion of souls.

BASTION ROSE Release Soul-Stirring Single ‘Garden of Stone’

Bloomington, IN– September 5, 2025 – Hard rock band Bastion Rose returns with their emotionally charged new single, “Garden of Stone,” out now. The track is the third single from their highly anticipated full-length debut album, Traces of Gold, both produced by three-time Grammy-winner David Bottrill (Tool, Rush, Godsmack).

“Garden of Stone” delves into the complexities of human emotion and grief, with lyrical themes that explore the internal struggle between past and present, love and hatred, and life and death. The song opens with powerful imagery of breaking down “castle walls” to let in “ghosts,” suggesting a confrontation with one’s inner self and past. As the song progresses, it paints a picture of finding a unique kind of peace amidst turmoil, with the chorus proclaiming:

All my ghosts. All my angels. Just fly from my heart and make shadowplay on the walls. All my love. All my hatred. Fades away. Just like a rose. Garden of Stone.

This lyrical journey culminates in a poignant acceptance of life’s fleeting nature, finding strength in the present moment, and acknowledging the importance of every day.

The single’s opening track, “Parallax,” is a clean, short instrumental that builds an atmosphere of suspense and anticipation. It features a haunting, arpeggiated guitar melody with a subtle piano texture and a rising percussive rhythm that gradually intensifies, creating a perfect sonic bridge into the powerful themes of “Garden of Stone.”

“Garden of Stone” follows the success of the band’s debut EP, Fade To Blue, which has garnered over a million streams across platforms, as well as previously released singles “Humble Me” and “Cinnamon Fire,” from their upcoming debut full-length album, Traces Of Gold.

In case you missed it, the band also dropped a gripping music video for “Cinnamon Fire” shortly after the single’s release. Sensual, intense, and cinematic, this one’s worth a watch: https://youtu.be/MUqSdKXAZpo
