On the heels of the excitementfrom the recent announcements of their upcoming eighth studio album and their Blackbird festival in Wales next summer, acclaimed rockers ALTER BRIDGE are releasing the first piece of music in over two years, “Silent Divide.”The track from the quartet, comprised of Myles Kennedy on vocals/guitars, Mark Tremonti on guitars/vocals, Brian Marshall on bass and Scott Phillips on drums, shows the band is back and ready to pick up where they left off in 2023. The brooding track begins with the signature guitar tones of Kennedy and Tremonti before the rhythm section of Marshall and Phillips join in. The chorus is powered by Kennedy’s haunting descent as he sings: “Keep your head down, ride out the silent divide.”
A music video for “Silent Divide” is also available today that the band has been teasing for days. A comedic opening skit was released of Tremonti, Marshall, and Phillips calling Kennedy’s mom to get the band back together as Myles hangs in his mom’s basement. That scene gives way to a performance of the four guys playing together in a small room – a throwback to the way it all started for them. The video was directed by JT Ibanez.
With more than two decades performing together, ALTER BRIDGE show no signs of slowing down. The new self-titled album from Napalm Records,Alter Bridge, is comprised of 12 all new tracks from the band and features some of their most iconic moments on record. Songs like “Rue The Day,”“Disregarded” and “Scales Are Falling” will fit alongside any of the classic songs from ALTER BRIDGE’s catalog. “Trust In Me” shows Myles and Mark sharing vocal duties as Myles handles the verse duties while Mark takes the chorus. That strategy is flipped on “Tested And Able” as Mark handles the verses and Myles takes on the choruses behind one of the band’s heaviest intros to date, giving way to an unforgettable melody. The album closer “Slave To Master” is an epic track that ALTER BRIDGE has come to be known for and is the longest song the quartet has recorded to date. The band worked with longtime collaborator and producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette on their eighth album. Alter Bridgewill be released on January 9, 2026.
Alter Bridge track listing: 1) Silent Divide (5:06) 2) Rue The Day (4:46) 3) Power Down (4:08) 4) Trust In Me (4:48) 5) Disregarded (3:55) 6) Tested And Able (4:36) 7) What Lies Within (5:07) 8) Hang By A Thread (4:11) 9) Scales Are Falling (5:54) 10) Playing Aces (4:05) 11) What Are You Waiting For (5:00) 12) Slave To Master (9:03)
To coincide with the announcement of the new album, ALTER BRIDGE will be touring in support of the release. The band is heading out on the What Lies Within Tour. The 31-date tour of Europe will kick off on January 15 in Germany before it wraps on March 5 in Nottingham, UK. More information on all tickets and VIP packages for the upcoming tour can be found at www.alterbridge.com.

About ALTER BRIDGE:
Back in 2004, four lifelong musicians got together down in Florida. Even though they had traveled separate paths, similar lessons learned, wisdom earned, and dues paid united these gentlemen—Myles Kennedy [vocals, guitar], Mark Tremonti [guitar, vocals], Brian Marshall [bass], and Scott Phillips [drums]—as ALTER BRIDGE. Over the ensuing two decades, the band endured countless trials and tribulations, defied every odd, and rose to the head of the pack as a hard rock juggernaut, cementing a singular legacy by selling out arenas, gathering nearly one billion streams, inciting international acclaim, and quietly attracting a diehard audience. Beginning with the Top 5 entry of 2004’s gold certified One Day Remains, the band have scored six consecutive Top 20 debuts on the Billboard 200. Among a myriad of highlights, Guitarist Magazine applauded “Blackbird” for the “Greatest Guitar Solo of All Time,” the ABIII single “Isolation” vaulted to #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart, 2013’s Fortress received rare perfect scores from KERRANG! and Total Guitar, and Walk The Sky shook the Top Rock Albums Chart at #1. Beyond packing O2 Arena and Royal Albert Hall, Classic Rock hailed 2022’s Pawns & Kings as “the Rolls-Royce of ALTER BRIDGE records” in a 4.5-out-of-5-star review. Plus, the latter LP garnered praise from American Songwriter, Guitar World, and Loudwire, while Billboard christened them “one of America’s premiere hard rock quartets.” Channeling the same hunger, the band continue to push themselves on their self-titled eighth full-length offering, Alter Bridge [Napalm Records]. It embodies everything they’re known for such as the precise riffs, towering hooks, and solos that practically break guitar strings as they burst through the clouds.
After eleven long years, German speed heavy metal pioneers WARRANT return with their long-awaited new studio album, “The Speed Of Metal”, set for release on October 10, 2025 via Massacre Records. The legendary band – originally formed in 1983 and known for their cult albums “First Strike” (1984) and “The Enforcer” (1985) – are back with a record which reconnects with their roots while pushing their sound into the present.
The first single, “Falling Down”, is available now and serves as a fierce statement of intent. A dark anthem for a world in free fall, the track rages against hypocrisy, hatred, and betrayal – a battle cry of resistance in the face of collapse.
Recorded and mixed by Martin Buchwalter at Gernhart Studios (Troisdorf), mastered by Michael Schwabe at Monoposto (Düsseldorf), and featuring cover artwork by renowned artist Gyula Havancsak, the album captures WARRANT’s uncompromising vision with power and precision. Produced by frontman Jörg Juraschek, the record also features pre-production by Norman Jonas.
Alongside brand-new material, “The Speed Of Metal” includes two special highlights: “It’s Up to You” – originally written in 1988, re-recorded and reborn with new energy – and “Windy City” – a powerful cover of a song by glam legends The Sweet, a lifelong dream of vocalist/bassist Juraschek.
With the addition of guitarist Adrian Weiss alongside longtime member Michael Dietz, WARRANT return to their classic four-piece lineup, delivering a wall of dual-guitar power, blistering solos, and relentless speed.

PERTURBATOR – the Paris-based composer/producer/multi-instrumentalist James Kent–today released “Mors Ultima Ratio,” the fourth single previewing his new album Age of Aquariusdue out on October 10th via Nuclear Blast Records. ‘Mors Ultima Ratio‘ is a menacing, high-intensity instrumental that could serve as the soundtrack to a final boss battle (fitting, as PERTURBATOR’s work scoring the Hotline Miamivideo game is celebrated in Decibel Magazine’s October issue). The song’s moody introduction sets a tense tone and slowly builds to a beautiful synth crescendo. “This was inspired by industrial music and black metal. The title roughly translates to ‘Death is the final accounting,’” Kent explains.
‘Mors Ultima Ratio‘ follows album singles ‘The Swimming Pool,’ ‘Apocalypse Now,’ featuring lead vocals by Norwegian metal titan Kristoffer Rygg (Ulver), and ‘The Art of War,’ which earned praise and support from Brooklyn Vegan, Metal Injection, Exclaim!, Metal Sucks, The PRP, New Noise, MXDWN, and more. Later this year, PERTURBATOR will embark on a headlining tour of the UK and Europe – which sees him playing his biggest venues to date – including London, UK’s 02 Forum Kentish Town and two nights at Paris’ La Bataclan; a full itinerary is listed below and tickets are on-sale HERE. Age of Aquarius is available for pre-order HERE.
On Age of Aquarius, PERTURBATOR offers up a more propulsive spin on his moody early work, showcasing his most confident, plainly beautiful, and thematically refined music to date. Where his previous album, 2021’s Lustful Sacraments, was about bad habits and addiction, his sixth LP – mastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano (Ghost, Opeth) and also featuring Alcest, Author & Punisher and Greta Link –explores how individualism, conflict, and war are interrelated and dominant societal forces. Both brutal and sublime, Age of Aquariusfeels like the musical equivalent of a scream into the existential void.
Kent intentionally chooses very evocative song titles since most of his tracks lack lyrics and primarily convey mood through instrumentals. “I like to think of every album as a movie,” he says. “The tracks are all scenes from that one big movie.” The most brutal scene, then, is ‘The Art of War,’ which ranks among Kent’s hardest-hitting songs; its vivid, forceful production attests to the two and a half years he spent tirelessly mastering and elevating his signature style (he wrote, recorded, performed, produced, and mixed the record himself, minus the guest vocals and lyrics). The track embodies the very sound of going into battle, and it could well be the album’s thesis. “It’s more of war as an idea than a concrete event,” Kent says about the LP’s subject matter. It’s no surprise his distinct style of electronic body music (EBM) – built on a DNA of post-punk, goth, and techno influences – has widely appealed to fans of new wave, industrial, and metal alike (his recent collaborators and tourmates HEALTH are an apt comparison).
We might always be in conflict as a species – with others and ourselves – but with Age of Aquarius, Kent provides its fantastic score.

Cinematic, folk-metal trailblazers Equilibriumare thrilled to return with a brand-new single, titled‘Bloodwood’. The track, which comes accompanied by a stunning video, tells the story of a tree becoming human. It’s tale unfolds with raw emotion, as it experiences the beauty, pain and confusion of becoming flesh and blood. It is about lineage, loss and the slow, sacred violence of becoming.
Equilibrium commented: “Over the past years, we’ve worked extensively on the next chapter of Equilibrium. Bloodwood marks the beginning of this journey. A journey back to our roots and at the same time a brave step forward into our future. Equilibrium has always been about storytelling, and this time our goal was to make everything more coherent — visually, musically, and contextually. More organic, cinematic and real. I believe you can both hear and see it: raw emotions, recordings of instruments we’ve collected over the years, handcrafted costumes, etc. The music videos and the songs belong together more than ever, and we’re super excited to finally begin this new chapter with Bloodwood.”
Across September and October, Equilibrium will be touring in mainland Europe alongside Dark Tranquility, Soen and IOTUNN. The dates are as follows:

Sepultura is currently on their big farewell tour, but that might not be the last we see of the metal legends. Contrary to all expectations that the band would retire after the final concert, Sepultura is also planning to release a farewell EP next year.
As guitarist Andreas Kisser revealed in a video interview with Mystic Talks, Sepultura is planning to put out a new EP with four songs next year to say goodbye. It will also be the first time drummer Greyson Nekrutman is featured on a record. As you know, Greyson joined the band in 2024 after Eloy Casagrande surprisingly announced his departure to join Slipknot.
Kisser commented on the creative process as follows:
“We’ve been doing it at our own pace, without a rush. There are no song titles yet—we can decide that later. We’re still mixing the material, without pressure. And that’s great. The idea of the farewell tour gives us the opportunity to do something like that—with as little planning as possible, to challenge ourselves artistically and to challenge ourselves anew in this situation.”
