Celtic Rockers 1916 Release New Single ‘Upon the Green’, Produced by Ted Hutt

1916, the boundary-pushing rock band known for blending classic rock grit with Irish punk, straight-up punk, rockabilly, and more, unleashes their latest single, “Upon the Green.” This is the third release from their highly anticipated full-length album, Conscience of Kings, due next spring, and it proves once again why 1916 is a force to be reckoned with in modern rock. Produced by Ted Hutt (Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys), the track smashes expectations with high-energy riffs, driving rhythms, and unrelenting attitude.

We had a bet! It was 2 in the morning at Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, TX and we were still a track short for the album,” said Hutt. “I bet you can’t come up with a song worthy of its place on the record by tomorrow morning. Billy grabbed the nearest guitar, shuffled off with it, a bag of chips, and a bottle of Bushmills single malt, and by 10 the next morning had a completely new song—and it was a banger!! We just had to put it on the record!”

Since their formation, 1916 has been carving out a sound all their own—fusing raw rock energy, Irish punk attitude, and rockabilly swagger into songs that hit hard but never feel formulaic. Their live shows are as explosive as their recordings, earning them a devoted fanbase and critical acclaim alike. Conscience of Kings promises to be their most dynamic work yet, showcasing the band’s versatility and fearless approach to genre-blending.

The band will embark on a fall tour (dates below). Fans should stay tuned for exclusive pre-sale opportunities and early access to merch bundles.

About 1916:

Hailing from upstate NY, Celtic rockers 1916 are an explosive concoction of the modern Irish Punk movement with an original mix of psychobilly which gives 1916 a sound that stands apart from other bands of the genre.

Starting as an acoustic duo in 2006, singer Billy Herring and original drummer Steve LaDue played the traditional Irish ballads of the Dubliners and Wolfe Tones in the local pubs in and around their home-town of Rochester, NY.  They decided to call themselves 1916 to get people interested in Irish history.  In 2010 they took the music to a new level with the addition of electric guitars, traditional instruments, and a full drum set.  Within a few months of trying their new sound, 1916 were opening for the likes of the Dropkick Murphys, 21 Pilots, and New Politics, among other national acts.

On St. Patrick’s Day of 2012, 1916 released their first studio album, A Drop of the Pure, to rave reviews.  That same year, 1916 became the first band from Rochester, NY to get their own Pandora station with the addition of their music to the Pandora genome project.  With their music now reaching a global audience, the boys would soon gain fans all over the world.

The following year, 1916 released their sophomore album, Stand Up & Fight.  This new album, featuring a collection of covers and originals, had a more polished sound than the raw punk feel of  A Drop of the Pure.  This new full length album also featured more traditional Irish instruments to give the new LP a fun and full sound.

As the band continued to evolve, they kept touring and playing as many shows as possible.  With bigger audiences came a larger fan base for 1916 to interact with.  The band has always enjoyed hanging out with the crowd both pre- and post- shows.

In November of 2014, the guys went back into the studio to begin recording their third album, Last Call for Heroes.  Released in December of 2015, Last Call for Heroes was met with great enthusiasm from critics.  Named one of the “best punk albums of 2016,” both home and abroad, the new album appeared to have given the band the momentum they needed to move forward.

Mandolin player Jon Kane joined the band in early 2016, just before the boys hit the road to join Flogging Molly on their Salty Dog Cruise.  After a whirlwind spring of touring through the Bahamas and Europe, Jon was just what the band needed as he brought his energetic and fun stage persona into the fold.

The sound had certainly become streamlined and unique, but it wasn’t until 2017 that upright bassist Ryan Hurley would join 1916 to give the band the final integral piece that gives the music its psychobilly flavor. Soon after Ryan joined the band, 1916 further expanded their sound by the addition of accordion player Sam Sarratori to the crew!

Then…Covid hit in 2020. The band had just settled into a groove where they were poised for a northeastern US tour alongside a new live album. All that had to be put on hold indefinitely until further notice. After a year on hold, Billy knew something needed to be done to get momentum going again for his band. With that in mind, he packed up and moved to Nashville TN in order to give the music of 1916 more visibility. It was around this time the band welcomed the thundering drums of Chad Paetznick to take over behind the kit.

1916 has since been picked up by TLG|ROCK for a distribution deal for not only their fifth full length studio album Revolutions, but for their sixth LP, titled Conscience of Kings. This new record is being produced by Grammy Award winning musician & producer Ted Hutt at the legendary Sonic Ranch Studios in El Paso Texas.

1916 is:
Billy Herring – Lead Vocals/Guitar/Banjo
Ryan Hurley – Upright Bass/Back-Up Vocals
Chad Paetznick – Drums
Sam Sarratori – Accordion/ Sunday Sauce

Celebrated by Alternative Press as one of the “40 Artists You Need to Hear,” DON’T BELIEVE IN GHOSTS continues to make waves in New York City’s indie rock scene with their signature blend of catchy hooks, uplifting energy, and thoughtful lyrics.

Their new album, But On The Bright Side, arrives November 7th, 2025, following the singles “Driver” (August 29th) and “Outta Your Head” (October 10th). To celebrate, the band will host an album release party on November 15th at Soho Live in NYC.

“We’re so excited about all the new songs from this album we really couldn’t decide which to release first. ‘Driver’ is about living in the moment, it’s a colorful track filled with a lot of energy, were felt this was a great way to start this new journey,” says the band’s vocalist Steven Nathan.

STREAM “Driver” HERE

Recorded over two years, the album saw the band working across multiple studios and diving deeper into analog gear, live recording, and classic console techniques. Sessions included trips to Nashville to work with producer Don Miggs and to Cleveland to collaborate with Grammy-winning producer Ken Lewis, alongside recording in their home base of New York. Throughout the process, all three members took on multiple instruments, pushing their sound in new directions. The collection features songs mixed by legendary mixers Mark Needham (The Killers, Imagine Dragons) and Ken Lewis (Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga), as well as tracks mixed by the band’s own frontman and producer Steven Nathan.

The band—Steven Nathan (vocals), Dan DelVecchio (guitar), and Ken Yang (drums)—has built a reputation for anthemic songwriting and high-energy performances. Past highlights include the Needham-mixed track “Put Your Head Back”—featured in the Apple TV+ series WeCrashed—and “Don’t Wake Me Up”, which debuted at #2 on the ALL ACCESS retail radio chart and featured comedy legend Gilbert Gottfried in its video. “Slow Down”has surpassed 2 million plays on retail radio, and “Summer High” landed multiple Spotify and Apple Music editorial playlists.

With their electrifying live shows—twice headlining sold-out performances at the Bowery Ballroom—and a track record of infectious, uplifting releases, Don’t Believe In Ghosts (Mindful Recordings / Symphonic) shows no sign of slowing down. But On The Bright Side is set to be their most ambitious and sonically rich release yet.

Stay tuned for more updates, and join Don’t Believe In Ghosts on this exciting journey.

STREAM “I Think There’s Something Wrong”: https://ffm.to/stp-ittsw

The music industry is set ablaze as it experiences Stripping the Pistol’s highly anticipated new single, “I Think There’s Something Wrong” – a track that promises to redefine the boundaries of modern rock and capture the hearts of fans and critics alike.  Or so the story was supposed to go.

“I Think There’s Something Wrong” is a seismic offering from Stripping the Pistol, a band that came out of nowhere a few months ago to create an industry buzz that appears destined to make the band a household name.   With a sound forged in raw emotion and electric energy, the new single showcases the group’s signature fusion of gritty raw guitar riffs, thunderous rhythms, the incredible Matt Walker (The Smashing Pumpkins, Cupcakes) on drums and powerful dual vocal performances.

From the opening notes, “I Think There’s Something Wrong” plunges listeners into a sonic landscape marked by urgency and intensity. The lyrics, penned Kevin Cherello and Kyriakos “Charlie” Tsiolis, examine the invisible divisions that run through relationships, communities, and even our own identities. As the chorus hits, the band’s message comes through with clarity and force: only by confronting our fractures can we truly begin to heal.

“We didn’t realize how appropriate that song title was until after our first major label showcase where everything went wrong.” – Stripping the Pistol 2025

Stripping the Pistol thrives at the intersection of alternative and hard rock, and “I Think There’s Something Wrong” is no exception. The single features an intricate interplay of soaring guitars and driving bass, all anchored by a rhythm section that refuses to be ignored. The production, handled by acclaimed producer Jeff Lane, brings out a depth and clarity that elevates the band’s already formidable style.

Even before its official release, “I Think There’s Something Wrong” has generated considerable excitement within the music community. Listeners have called it “a cathartic triumph that cements Stripping the Pistol’s reputation as one of the most compelling bands of this generation.”

“Until that damn showcase,” adds the band in 2025.

The single was more than just a song; it was an industry-beloved invitation to grapple with the tensions and triumphs of life, rendered in urgent lyrics and unforgettable melodies. As the band looked ahead to being signed to either Dreamworks, Columbia, Elektra, Lava or Roadrunner, and to their tour and future projects, one thing was certain: Stripping the Pistol was a force to be reckoned with, and “I Think There’s Something Wrong” was only the beginning.

“Until it wasn’t after that damn showcase.”

Italian power metal stalwarts ALTERIUM have released their rendition of SYMPHONY X’s iconic track “Paradise Lost”, now available digitally on all major platforms.

Originally born as a playful experiment and now included in the CD edition of the new “Stormrage” EP, the cover stands as a heartfelt tribute to one of the bands that most profoundly influenced the Italian group.

Its release comes just days before ALTERIUM’s appearance at ProgPower USA – the very same edition headlined by SYMPHONY X – making this homage all the more significant.

The band commented:

“Our love for Symphony X’s music has always been one of the things that united us: each band member has their own musical tastes, but Symphony X are the perfect common ground. This cover wasn’t planned at all, it came about almost as a game. When Symphony X were later announced as the headliners of ProgPower USA – the same edition we’ll also be part of – we took it as a sign that this cover really had to be released. So we included it on the CD version of the ‘Stormrag’e EP, and today we’re releasing it digitally, just a few days before meeting our idols.”

The EP is currently available in exclusive physical formats:

  • Digipack CD, limited to 500 hand-numbered copies, featuring two bonus tracks
  • 7” Vinyl, released in three colored variants, each limited to 100 hand-numbered copies

Preorders: https://alterium.bigcartel.com/

To support the release, ALTERIUM have embarked on a series of select shows and festivals across Europe and will make their highly anticipated US debut at the ProgPower festival in Atlanta.

This new chapter sees the band sharpening their songwriting and delivering a fresh burst of adrenaline that both longtime fans and newcomers will appreciate. Epic, melodic, and unrelentingly driven, “Stormrage” reaffirms ALTERIUM’s mission to carry the torch of European metal with pride and power.

Tracklist:

1. Stormrage
2. Sui
3. Paradise Lost (Symphony X cover)
 – available only on the CD version
4. Of War and Flames (Orchestral version) – available only on the CD version

ALTERIUM is an Italian power metal quintet founded in late 2022 by vocalist Nicoletta Rosellini (ex. Kalidia, Walk in Darkness), joined by former bandmates Paolo Campitelli (guitars) and Dario Gozzi (drums), and later by Alessandro Mammola (guitars) and Luca Scalabrin (bass).

Produced by Lars Rettkowitz (Freedom Call), their debut album “Of War And Flames” was released on March 8, 2024 via AFM Records, featuring 9 original tracks and a cover of Sabaton’s “Bismarck”. The album received excellent feedback, surpassing 1 million streams on Spotify and 1.2 million views on YouTube.

Even before the album’s release, ALTERIUM hit the stage across Europe, including performances at Epic Fest (Denmark) and Brainstorm Fest (Netherlands), marking the beginning of their growing presence on the international metal scene.

UNDER BLACK SKY: THE NARRATIVE

“You are not alone. The sky has cracked. The blood remembers.”

The world was once bright — but the light was a lie.

Centuries ago, a secret Order vanished beneath the surface of history, burying knowledge too dangerous for the world above. This Order — now known only in whispers as The Order Beneath — kept one truth sealed: that some voices are not born, but summoned… when the world turns on itself.

Now, the sky has cracked. From the fracture, sound bleeds through. Not music — a signal. A call.

Four souls answered. They were not chosen. They were claimed.

Marked by pain. Branded by betrayal. Broken by a system that promised dreams and delivered chains. But from the ruins of their pasts, each one emerged transformed — avatars of chaos and clarity, shadow and scream. Not men. Not monsters. Something in between.

They are known only by their roles:

  • KRYSIS – The Prophet — voice of the unspeakable. (Vocals)
  • BEAST – The Executioner — fury without apology. (Drums)
  • ONYX – The Seer — eyes that pierce the veil. (Guitar)
  • JAXX – The Redeemer — bearer of the final key. (Bass Guitar)

Together, they are Under Black Sky — not a band, but a reckoning.

Their debut transmission, Bad Blood, is more than an album. It is the first chapter of an awakening. Each track unlocks another sigil in the codex. Another fragment of the truth long buried. As their presence spreads, so too does the influence of the Order Beneath.

Those who hear the message begin to change. Reality glitches. Symbols surface in dreams. Crimson keys appear. Shattered glass reveals hidden figures. A storm begins to churn within them — not of fear, but of defiance.

And then they know: They are not alone. The purge has begun. And Under Black Sky is leading the charge.

UNDER BLACK SKY is a modern active rock band hailing from New Orleans, LA, formed in 2023. The band consists of four enigmatic members – Krysis, Beast, Jaxx, and Onyx – Known for their wildly entertaining live shows, UNDER BLACK SKY delivers performances that are nothing short of mesmerizing. Each song in their repertoire is a meticulously crafted masterpiece, featuring hauntingly unforgettable choruses that linger in the mind, mesmerizing riffs that captivate the senses, and a potent shot of adrenaline coursing through their sonic landscape. UBS is not just a band; it’s a manifestation of resilience, creativity, and a profound desire to entertain and to connect with audiences on a visceral level. When attending one of their shows, be prepared to get engulfed in an immersive and electrifying experience sure to leave a long lasting impression.
