European heavy metal veterans KAT have unveiled official details for their anticipated new studio album, “Death Is Not Enough”, set for release on October 23rd via Logosound. This new record marks a crucial turning point in the band’s artistic evolution, celebrating the 40th anniversary of their milestone debut album, “Metal and Hell”.
“Death Is Not Enough” stands as a fundamental landmark in KAT‘s journey, introducing fresh stylistic elements bound to surprise their fanbase. Rather than merely updating their sound, the album decisively reaffirms the band’s cohesion and structural balance, proving their enduring strength and timeless resilience.

German Wasteland Sludgers SARAKSH have announced their new full-length album “Abiram”, set for release on November 20, 2026.
The announcement is accompanied by the release of a lyric video for the record’s first single, “Forlorn”, offering an intense first glimpse into the band’s latest work.
Speaking about the track and the album’s concept, guitarist/vocalist Severin Mäker comments: ”SARAKSH is a dead planet. Bleak, dismal. Its surface denies any life, banishing any creature, burying them beneath nothing but burned crust, sand, agony and indignation. In this utterly inhospitable wasteland a wanderer lives out another chapter of his struggle for survival. This has once again been made to music by SARASKH and preserved for posterity with the new upcoming record ABIRAM. So now you can listen to the first impressions of this magnificent story.”
He continues: “‘Forlorn’ tells of the wanderer descending deep into ruins beneath the sand – ruins that speak of war, the overzealous worship of technology and the loss of humanity. ‘Forlorn’ is arguably SARAKSH’s most brutal and technical song to date. Constantly shifting and on-moving rhythms meet fast blast-beats and intricate riffs, yet remain catchy and groovy. All this escalates into a brutal confrontation for our wanderer.”

Severin Mäker gave birth to the dystopian/sci-fi influenced project in 2018, counting three releases so far, with ‘Moloch: refactored’ (2023) marking a plunge into a more conceptual approach into the themes of SARAKSH. Contrasting its brutalist title track with three concentrated tracks ‘Drive’, ‘R.T.W.Y.A.’ and ‘Eden in Waste’, the quartet delivers by navigating between groove-oozing and nerve-crushing riffs, whilst chaotic outbursts are eerily surrounded by psychotic, then liberating chants, just to be completely resolved in proliferated guitar layers and atmospheric, synth-driven passages.
Being influenced by the likes of Converge, Ulcerate, Totem Skin and Omega Massif, the band keeps their organic, yet tight playing style very closely tied to the aspect of musical storytelling. Thus, the upcoming album “Abiram” picks up right where the grand finale of the title track from the band’s last release left off, in which the wanderer leaves ‘Moloch’ full of despair and hopelessness.

An Emotional Reflection on Loss, Memory, and the People Who Help Us Through the Hardest Days — Featuring Piano by Black Label Society’s JD DeServio
TLG|ZOID, distributed by Virgin Music Group, announces the release of “The Price We Pay,” the powerful new rock single from Swim the Current. Produced by George Pond, Chris Reyes, and David Caplinger, the track is an emotionally charged reflection on loss, grief, and the memories that help carry us forward when life feels impossibly heavy.
“‘The Price We Pay’ is really about losing someone you love and trying to hold on to the good times while you’re living through the bad ones. Loss is something we all deal with eventually, and sometimes those memories—the laughs, the stories, the moments you’ll never forget—are what get you through the hardest days,” says George Pond, bassist for Swim The Current
Adding an especially meaningful layer to the track is JD DeServio of Black Label Society, who contributes piano to the song. Pond and DeServio share a friendship that spans years of touring, conversations, and a mutual love of music. Both are accomplished bass players, but their long-standing friendship had never translated into a musical collaboration—until now.
While DeServio is widely recognized for his work as a bassist with Black Label Society, Pond emphasizes that his talents extend far beyond the instrument.
“This song became even more special to me because my good buddy JD DeServio from Black Label Society plays piano on the track. JD and I are both bass players, and after all these years of friendship, touring and talking just about every day, we’ve always wanted to do something together musically but somehow never had the opportunity. People obviously know JD as an incredible bass player, but he’s also an amazing multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer—and just an all-around amazing dude.”
“More importantly, he’s one of my closest friends. Having him play on a song this personal means more to me than I can really put into words. He absolutely crushed the piano part and brought an emotion to the song that was exactly what it needed. After being friends for so many years, it’s an honor to finally have our names together on a piece of music. I couldn’t be prouder of what he brought to ‘Price We Pay.’”
“The back story on this one is very personal. I had written the music as an instrumental the week my pup Kodi passed away. When George and Greg heard it, they asked if they could use the music for an STC song, and I agreed. The lyrics that George and Marcos wrote capture all the emotions of losing a loved one. It was the perfect marriage of music and lyrics,” adds Joe Gareri, the band’s lead guitarist.

Swim The Current delivers a high-impact blend of rock-driven musicianship, modern country-rock grit, and deeply personal storytelling. Built around guitarist and songwriter Greg Antine’s vision, the band transforms real-life experiences into anthemic, emotionally charged songs with a sound that is both cinematic and immediate.
Greg began developing the project with longtime collaborator and bassist George Pond in George’s home studio. The lineup soon expanded with Joe Gareri on guitar and keyboards, whose cinematic writing added depth and atmosphere, and drummer Chris Moore of Ultraphonix and Rock of Ages. The band’s final piece came with the addition of longtime friend Marcos Leal of Ill Niño, whose commanding vocals and creative songwriting gave Swim The Current its unmistakable identity.
Following the release of their debut single, “We Are Not The Same,” the band built serious momentum through a fully organic DIY campaign, earning thousands of streams, YouTube views, and followers without relying on traditional industry machinery. That grassroots growth reflects the direct connection Swim The Current creates with listeners—both online and in the room.
Drawing inspiration from Koe Wetzel, Lakeview, Treaty Oak Revival, and Hardy, Swim The Current combines hard-hitting guitars, soaring melodies, cinematic textures, and honest lyrics into a live experience designed to leave an impression. AIRI’S is an indie rock band from Espoo founded in 2019. The band’s music deals with the emotional storms of life, from immense anxiety to infatuation and love. The Tour of Your Thoughts Live is a collection of live recordings from Airi’s’ 2025 tour when they toured Finland as the opening act for Erja Lyytinen and recorded the shows. The live EP serves as a strong representation of the era surrounding the band’s second full-length studio album, Sea of Your Thoughts and represents Airi’s as their best as a tight live act.
The band’s music deals with the emotional storms of life, from immense anxiety to infatuation and love. The musical influences come mainly from the 1970s and 1990s, and the songs feature nuances of British rock, grunge and prog. The tracks selected for the EP were recorded at shows held at the Tavastia Club in Helsinki, Kehräämö in Pori, and Kulttuuritalo Tempo in Mikkeli.
The band’s first album, “Kind Little One”, released in August 2022, was praised by critics and the public. The album is a story about the human life cycle, from birth to death. Airi’s celebrated the release of their debut album with a charity concert for the Finnish mental health organization Mieli ry at Kannusali, Espoo in 2022, raising €1500 with the ticket sales.
The second album, “Sea of Your Thoughts”, released in September 2024, brings out even more of the band’s brilliant playing chops and organic live sound. The album’s single “Marigolds” even received radio airplay in the United States, and the album’s release was celebrated with a sold out show at Semifinal in Helsinki.
Airi’s has played over 150 shows, including Ruisrock 2024 and as an opening act for Erja Lyytinen at her Finnish shows. Outside Finland, the band has already performed in the Baltics, Sweden and the UK. In spring 2024 the band performed at London’s legendary The Dublin Castle club to a full house. In the fall of 2025 Airi’s toured Finland with Erja Lyytinen on her 12-date Finnish tour and played at some of the most well-known venues in the country including Tavastia in Helsinki. The band has cited Oasis, The Last Dinner Party and the Von Hertzen Brothers as influences.

“Tear It Down,” follows lead tracks “Play Your Games” and “Saw You Stand” and offers another look behind the curtain of their majestic new album. “Tear It Down” tempers a bold riff with pensive lyricism.
