Italian symphonic power metal outfit JUST REBORN have released the official music video for “Alter Ego”, one of the standout tracks from their debut album Formae Mentis.
The song explores the concept of the Alter Ego, the shadowy counterpart we all inevitably face. This is the underlying madness hidden in the depths of the human psyche; for some, it surfaces and takes control, while for others, it remains “latent” and suppressed, allowing equilibrium to triumph. Two sides of the same identity.
Formae Mentis: A Masterpiece of Symphonic Power Metal Just Reborn’s debut full-length Formae Mentis is a concept album that navigates the labyrinth of the human mind—exploring emotions, mental health, and the daunting rise of artificial intelligence. The band’s signature blend of soaring vocals, epic orchestrations, and thunderous metal riffs creates a sonic landscape as introspective as it is exhilarating.
Yesterday marked a monumental moment for Australian melodic metal act DARKER HALF, with the simultaneous release of their highly anticipated new album, “Book Of Fate,” via Massacre Records and the launch of their 2025 European Tour.
“Book Of Fate” delivers a powerful sonic fusion of heavy, melodic intensity — an album steeped in evocative folklore, drawing loosely from tales such as The Pied Piper of Hamelin and the Wizard. The result is an epic, narrative-rich project enhanced by the band’s trademark anthemic choruses and renewed energy from their revamped lineup.
Produced by drummer Dom Simpson at Elephant Sounds Studio in Australia, mixed by Chris Themelco at Monolith Studios, and mastered by Thomas Plec Johansson at The Panic Room, the album is further elevated by dramatic artwork from Karim Konig.
Available now in multiple formats — including limited edition vinyl LP, CD digipak, and all digital platforms — fans can order or stream immediately HERE: https://save-it.cc/massacre/book-of-fate
Coinciding with the album release, DARKER HALF embarked yesterday on their European tour, starting at Metalacker Tennenbronn 2025 in Schramberg, Germany. The tour continues with festival stops such as Nordrock Schwaben 2025 in Rheinfelden on 30 August, followed by multiple dates across Netherlands, Poland, and Germany through late September, including shows as Glenn Hughes’ main support.

Super Glue Anxiety released a new single, Stone Age Casanova. As usual, the song is a bit experimental, but based on a fast-paced ska rhythm.
The song is about players. There have always been men and women in the world who can’t really live with one partner. The grass seems to be greener on the other side of the fence. And so life is about jumping from flower to flower. However, the song doesn’t take a stand on whether this is a good or bad thing. It is what it is.
JORDSJUK unleash their new single “Til ettertids plage,” a track that drags the listener straight into their world of rust and dissonance. Heavy, groovy and unrelenting, it highlights a new facet of the band while holding firmly onto their raw and uncompromising spirit. This is the final taste before the debut album Naglet til livet, set for release on September 19 via Indie Recordings.
Rooted in Norway’s underground metal scene, Jordsjuk is a gathering of hardened musicians from established acts that have left their mark on the Norwegian black metal landscape. Drawing strength from the traditions of the genre, they inject their riffs with a unique groove and weight that sets them apart. “Til ettertids plage” exemplifies the band’s ability to turn chaos and dissonance into something irresistible, a track that balances sheer brutality with a seductive energy.
– “With Til ettertids plage we wanted to put the filth into words. The song is groovy and infectious, yet raw and uncompromising. It shows a new side of Jordsjuk, while staying true to our foundation: riff-driven metal from the underground – dissonant, corroded and decayed.” the band says.
Jordsjuk has already made a strong impression live. Following an intense performance at Midgardsblot 2025, they are set to take the stage at by:Larm festival (September 12) and Vaterland, Oslo (October 3), with more dates to come.
Metal Injection has hailed Jordsjuk as “one of Norway’s most promising new groups.” With “Til ettertids plage,” the band raises the bar high ahead of their debut album in September. This is music for dark times: primal, uncompromising and dangerously catchy.
Already when SEIGMEN released their album Resonans in 2024, it was revealed that this was the first step in an ambitious series of three albums over as many years.
The road to the next album, Dissonans, began that same year with the single : «Dyret 23 Bud» — a grand and powerful track with the signature Seigmen sound.
The journey continued in May this year with the release of Disiplin, a catchy up-tempo single bordering on punk, nodding back to early Seigmen. On August 29, the band is set to release the third and final single before the new album comes out on October 23.
So what exactly is Dissonans? Noise, untuned energy, or pieces that just don’t quite fit? Perhaps.
But dissonance can also mean contrasts — the soft against the hard, the love for beauty confronting the fascination of ugliness. Light and shadow. Enter: Så nært.
No one would have expected Seigmen to release a soaring ballad, yet here it is — a calm and steady song with a subtle yet seductive chorus. After more than 30 years, Seigmen still manages to surprise. Nothing about Så nært was predictable; the song itself came about by “accident”: a jack cable missing the input on a black Gibson SG guitar.
You can’t get sound from an electric guitar without a cable, and it needs to be plugged into an amplifier. During a rehearsal, guitarist Sverre missed the input jack, and the plug instead struck the guitar’s pickguard. It buzzed harshly, like an electric shock — but with a harmonic tone close to G. That became the seed of a beat, a pulse — and the song wrote itself, as it often does, reveals songwriter Kim Ljung:
“For me, music is like a jigsaw puzzle. All the pieces are there, somewhere in the air — you just have to pull them down in the right order. I’m not saying it’s easy, but that’s how it works. Don’t stress — if it’s meant to be, everything will eventually fall into place.”
And sometimes a song comes along that just soars. Så nært is one of those. Filled with hope. With air. With life. A song where vocalist Alex Møklebust lifts the choruses with an unusually intimate and personal vocal, creating space for the voice to rise where the steady monotony of the verses gives way and the chorus breaks in. Like when a rain shower suddenly ends and the sunbeams break through the clouds. That’s what sparked Så nært.
The upcoming album, Dissonans, is set to be released on October 23 — exactly 30 years to the day since the release of the legendary Metropolis, Seigmen’s major breakthrough.
Så nærtis mixed by Mike Hartung at Propeller Music Division. Recorded by Christer Krogh at Velvet Recording. Produced by Alex Møklebust and Kim Ljung. Mastered by George Tanderø. Cover design by Sigurd N. Kristiansen.

ABOUT SEIGMEN:
It was an unfinished band that took to the stage when Seigmen (formerly known as Klisne Seigmenn) played their very first show during Christmas of 1989. However, even then, they had something unique that set them apart from the others, and their sound was undeniably different from all those they shared stage with. Even the conservative paper Tønsbergs Blad reported the next day that “Klisne Seigmenn outperformed the others.”
Fast forward to 1994, the year they released the EP “Hjernen er alene” and their third studio album “Total.”
From there on, Seigmen and their heavy and grandiose, yet catchy melancholy, defined the 1990s. “Total” was later recognized as one of Norway’s 100 best albums of all time, and their fourth album “Metropolis” dominated the charts back in 1995 won a Spellemann award for Best Rock Album. In 1997, “Radiowaves” went straight to number one.
Then it all came to an end, as out of nothing, the announcement came that the band was disbanding because guitarist Sverre was leaving. One for all and all for one. A few months before the previous millennium came to an end, Seigmen played their farewell show for a packed Rockefeller in Oslo, Norway.
But it wasn’t meant to end there; it’s almost unnatural to just let go of a good thing and old friendships forever. In 2005, the band reunited on stage for the first time in Dødens Dal in Trondheim, and in 2008, they were the first Norwegian band to be invited to play at the new opera house in Bjørvika. However, the biggest event of the new millennium came in 2015 when Seigmen surprisingly released “Enola,” a full 18 years after “Radiowaves.” Then on April 12, 2024,Seigmen released “Resonans,” their first album in nine years.
The choice of Velvet Recording as their studio is not a coincidence; it’s the same place “Total” was recorded back in 1994.
It is with the deepest regret that we announce the inevitable postponement of the “Walking With My Darkness” Oct – Nov 2025 European Tour.
Whilst we remain committed to the eventual touring of Europe, unfortunately, we’ve been forced to postpone until further notice due to illness within Jeremy’s immediate family.
As you might be aware, a few months back, Jeremy Harry Harris raised $6,000 of much-needed funds to support the AGCF (Aust Gynaecological Cancer Foundation), his charity of choice given his wife’s recent stage 4 cancer diagnosis.
Whilst the outcome of that endeavour was indeed a positive one, the outcome of recent tests for his wife have not been as positive, with the need for some pretty invasive and complex surgery being required immediately.
Whilst we are devastated at not being able to come to Europe this October, we are confident that everyone will understand that our families come first, even before music. She’s in the fight for her life right now, and after careful consideration, much discussion, and a lot of “should I go, or should I stay now” (Thank you, The Clash!), we’ve made the call, not to proceed at this time. We’re aiming to sort this surgery out, kick cancer’s arse, and be back on the road for a European Summer tour in May / June 2026.
Whilst this is a really disappointing thing to have to do, we know we can count on all our supporters to be understanding and respect our decision.
A lot of time, effort, and planning has gone into this so far, especially from our Tour Booker….We extend our sincerest thanks and gratitude to Damir Marijan of Stage2stage – Concert Booking & Promotion, who has worked tirelessly to bring this tour to life. We are so sorry to him right now, as we know just how hard it is to book shows throughout Europe only to have the band pull out. Please accept our sincerest apologies for this, and our genuine thanks for your efforts to date.
Please stay tuned for new summer dates being announced as soon as we can finalise it all.
