Extreme metal phenomenon MONOLIYTH has unveiled the official music video for their track “Killing Floor”, taken from their critically acclaimed album “He Who Kills”, out now worldwide via Wormholedeath Records.

Regarding the track, the band shared:
“The Killing Floor, was the last track written on the He Who Kills Album, and was put together pretty much last minute. Although it’s more of a verse-chorus-verse structured song, it turned out to be definitely one of the most brutal and memorable tracks on the Album.”

Directed and edited by Robert Brens and produced by Black Cow Productions, the video perfectly captures Monoliyth’s ferocious sound and dark energy.

Alongside the video release, He Who Kills is now available on all major digital platforms worldwide.

About:

Formed in 1998 by guitarist Mick Barr in Melbourne, MONOLIYTH has maintained a relentless dedication to extreme music across decades. Evolving from classic thrash to old-school death metal with hints of technical death, their music delivers aggressive, complex, and boundary-pushing compositions.

He Who Kills explores the darker side of humanity, focusing on the psychology of serial killers as a lens into depravity, rather than specific historical events. The album blends pounding rhythms, menacing instrumentation, unnerving tension, and cathartic release, fueled by guttural vocals and diminished harmonies. Drawing influence from thrash legends like Kreator, Metallica, Megadeth, and death metal icons such as Morbid Angel, Suffocation, and Death, MONOLIYTH crafts a sonic assault that is uniquely their own.

Canadian hard rock group Dali Van Gogh has released their touching rendition of “Mama I’m Coming Home” as a heartfelt tribute to the late, legendary Ozzy Osbourne. The single, available today on all major streaming platforms, is accompanied by a moving video that celebrates the life, legacy, and impact of one of rock’s most iconic voices.

The video features a global mosaic of love and remembrance—clips submitted by Ozzy’s fans from every corner of the world, each paying homage in their own unique way. From intimate home performances to heartfelt spoken messages, these tributes weave together into a powerful reminder of how deeply Ozzy’s music touched generations.

“Ozzy was more than a musician—he was a cultural force,” says Isaac Kent, lead guitarist and founding member of Dali Van Gogh. “When we learned of his passing, we knew we wanted to honor him in a way that included the global community he built. This song and video are as much the fans’ tribute as they are ours.”

Originally released in 1991, “Mama I’m Coming Home” stands as one of Ozzy’s most enduring ballads—a song of love, loss, and return. Dali Van Gogh’s version blends their signature hard rock edge with a deep emotional resonance, delivering a performance that is both respectful to the original and deeply personal.

Rocky Moreau, the band’s lead vocals, adds: “Working on this track was emotional for us. We began work on it literally within hours of his passing. Seeing the fan videos come in, knowing how many lives Ozzy touched, made this project something truly special.”

The single and video mark not only a tribute to a fallen legend, but also a celebration of the shared passion that unites rock fans worldwide.

CONSTRICT to Release New EP “Kadavergehorsam” on October 3rd

Posted by tarjavirmakari on August 25, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: CONSTRICT. Leave a comment

“Kadavergehorsam”, the new EP by German grindcore force CONSTRICT, will be released on October 3rd, 2025 through 7Degrees Records (GER), Loner Cult Records (BE), and 783Label (UK)

A furious and uncompromising new chapter, the record will be available on vinyl and digital platforms, further cementing the band’s commitment to DIY ethics and raw sonic intensity.

The vinyl edition is a onesided 12“ on black vinyl – white marbled 12×12“ inlay, sleeve printed inside out.

With “Kadavergehorsam”, CONSTRICT deliver a ferocious statement against exploitation, alienation, and the empty promises of neoliberalism. Through poetically dystopian lyrics, the band confronts themes such as forced labor, capitalism, self-optimization pressure, and systemic inequality. Tracks like “Rats,” “Bloom,” and “Cattle” paint a bleak portrait of a society in which individuals are reduced to disposable cogs. Yet songs like “Fight Back” cut through the despair, offering resistance and solidarity as answers to collective powerlessness.

Musically, CONSTRICT sharpen their sound with a handful of new tracks that are fast, abrasive, and direct, yet never lose sight of engaging dynamics, infectious groove and instantly memorable riffs. The band’s trademark is now enriched by more deliberate shifts in tempo, tension-building breaks and riff-driven hooks designed to grab the listener from the first note. While maintaining their raw, no-frills approach, CONSTRICT introduce subtle nuances, giving each song a distinct identity while contributing to an overall sense of urgency and cohesion. The result is a record that hits hard on first impact, but also rewards repeated listens with layers of detail and energy.

The first single “Mammon” is now streaming HERE.

Tracklist:

01. Trapped
02. Rats
03. Bloom
04. Cattle
05. Purgatory
06. Mammon
07. Fight Back

  • All music and lyrics written by Constrict.
  • DIY recorded, mixed & mastered between 2023 and 2024 in Potsdam (Germany).
  • Artwork & layout by Hagiophobic.

Formed in April 2015 in Potsdam, Germany, CONSTRICT set out to play fast and aggressive grindcore, without abandoning the metal roots shared by some of its members. The result is a hybrid of blistering blast beats, classic d-beats, and rolling double bass rhythms more commonly heard in death metal.

Their first release was a raw demo, followed by the debut album “Ultima Ratio” in 2018. After lineup changes (Willy and Nicole departed, replaced by Robert and Fabian), the band wrote and self-released the “Saturation” EP in 2020, staying true to their DIY ethic.

Following the departure of founding member Härry, CONSTRICT continued as a four-piece: leaner, more focused, and creatively energized, a shift that quickly became evident in their songwriting.

In 2022, the “Devourer” EP arrived on cassette, with each copy featuring one-of-a-kind artwork. Musically, it delved into darker and more atmospheric territory, tied together by a conceptual theme of the world’s tragic destruction at human hands.

Relentless as ever, CONSTRICT began writing again, this time aiming for even faster, more aggressive material. Once again, the band took full control of the process, handling recording, mixing, and mastering themselves. Plans to release the new EP on vinyl were temporarily delayed – until now. With the support of three like-minded underground labels, CONSTRICT proudly present their latest work: “Kadavergehorsam”.

Line-up:

Fabian – Vocals
Sebastian – Guitars
Robert – Bass
Matze – Drums

VIOLATOR Strike Again with New Single ‘The Evil Order’ from Upcoming Album

Posted by tarjavirmakari on August 25, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: VIOLATOR. Leave a comment

How do you introduce new elements into thrash metal without sounding too pretentious or “fluffy”? Sometimes, a careful look at the past can be the way to go, and “The Evil Order”, the second single from VIOLATOR‘s new album, is the embodiment of this dialectic.

Right off the bat, a macabre base with a guitar slur/slur that recalls the intro of “Black Sabbath”. Then, the dragging riff feeds back into primitive Brazilian metal, and the reference (homage?) to Sarcófago’s “Nightmare” is inevitable.

The reminiscences end there, because what follows is pure VIOLATOR juice, only more evil than ever. Perhaps the band has never sounded so malignant and creative. Despite this, the essence of old-school thrash is preserved, without deviation.

In its conclusion, “The Evil Order” returns to the “Sabbath-like” intro to complete the circle of revenge. The order of uniformed tyrants (“the uniform is a pathetic excuse”) is about to collapse.

Stream “The Evil Order” here:

VIOLATOR‘s long-awaited comeback album, “Unholy Retribution”, is due out September 5th, 2025 via Kill Again Records.

True to their roots yet revitalized by a long and intense creative process, “Unholy Retribution” captures VIOLATOR at their most inspired and ferocious. The band delivers a powerful and uncompromising collection of songs that revisit their trademark thrash metal with renewed energy and purpose. This is not a reinvention, it’s a reaffirmation of everything that made VIOLATOR a cult force in the global underground.

From the raw aggression of their breakout EP “Violent Mosh” (2004) and the now-classic debut full-length “Chemical Assault” (2006), VIOLATOR made their mark with a youthful urgency that took no prisoners. That same intensity is alive and well on “Unholy Retribution”, but now it comes sharpened by experience and delivered through more dynamic, tightly constructed compositions. The fire hasn’t dimmed, it’s evolved.

Musically, the album bursts with blistering riffs, tight rhythmic precision and an unmistakable sense of urgency. Groove-laden catchiness and flashes of technical brilliance keep the tracklist flowing like a furious tide – unpredictable, violent and cathartic. The production matches this ferocity with a sonic identity that’s both organic and clear, yet unpolished in just the right way: a raw, analog-flavored mix that enhances every snare hit and guitar bite without sacrificing the band’s gritty edge. It’s a sound that feels live, alive, and undeniably VIOLATOR.

Lyrically, the band stays loyal to its mission: confronting injustice, exposing corruption and shining a harsh light on the rot festering beneath the surface of modern society. With “Unholy Retribution”, VIOLATOR continue to use their music as both weapon and warning.

This is the record that fans of early Vio-Lence, Kreator and Dark Angel have been waiting for – a no-holds-barred thrash assault, deeply rooted in tradition yet bursting with contemporary urgency.

The wait is over. The retribution is unholy. And it starts now.

Tracklist:

1. Hang The Merchants Of Illusion
2. Cult Of Death
3. Persecution Personality
4. Destroy The Altar
5. The Evil Order
6. Chapel Of The Sick
7. Rot In Hell
8. Vengeance Storm
