Italian 217 Sign to Time To Kill Records, Working on Debut Full-Length Album

Posted by tarjavirmakari on August 25, 2025

Time To Kill Records is excited to announce the signing of Italian hardcore collective 217.

Known for their intense blend of old-school hardcore and raw, genre-blurring energy, the band is currently putting the finishing touches on their debut full-length album—set to be released in the coming months. Expect a powerful and emotionally charged record that draws from a wide range of influences while remaining firmly rooted in the urgency and spirit of hardcore.

With their uncompromising sound and renewed lineup, 217 are ready to make a bold statement with an album that captures both the grit of their early days and their newly expanded musical vision. More details will follow soon.

Biography:

217 formed in Pescara in 2018 with the aim of blending old-school hardcore in the vein of bands like Slapshot and Judge with thrash metal influences reminiscent of The Haunted and Slayer.

After a number of live shows, a first European tour, and appearances at national festivals, the band released a debut EP titled “Atheist Agnostic Rationalist” in 2019 through Indelirium Records. The release, featuring songs recorded across multiple sessions, quickly sold out its initial run of 300 copies and circulated widely within the Italian hardcore underground.

In 2020, due to the pandemic, the band was forced to cancel 18 shows scheduled between March and June. The following summer, due to work and family-related issues, three members left the project. However, the band never officially announced a split.

In June 2024, now a four-piece, 217 returned to the rehearsal room to begin writing their debut full-length album. Drawing inspiration from American old-school hardcore (Negative Approach, Uniform Choice, Slapshot, Madball, Bad Brains, Chain of Strength, Growing Concern), mid-’90s new school (108, Have Heart, Snapcase, Abhinanda), as well as math rock, hardcore, and alternative dark rock (Melvins, Botch, Bauhaus, Fields of the Nephilim, Stone Temple Pilots, Killing Joke, The Doors), 217 now presents itself with a renewed and at times dreamlike musical and lyrical identity.

Line-up:

Ivan Di Marco – Voice
Nicola Marinaccio – Guitars
Vittorio Del Prete – Drums
Daniele Fasciani – Bass

ARENA Releases Re-Imagined Version of ‘No Easy Way Out’ Feat. Robert Tepper

Posted by tarjavirmakari on August 25, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: ARENA. Leave a comment

Alt/Pop/Synthwave artist Arena has unveiled his latest release, a powerful reimagining of Robert Tepper’s classic “No Easy Way Out.” Originally featured on the blockbuster Rocky IV soundtrack, the song became an anthem of determination and resilience. In a move that sets this release apart, the track features none other than Tepper himself, bringing a rare and authentic connection between the original and the modern version. The song was produced by Justin “JD” deBlieck (Ice Nine Kills).

“After seeing the response from my cover of Van Halen’s ‘Dreams’, I realized what was going to set me apart from most Synthwave artists and that was getting the endorsement from the OG. After signing with Retro Synth Records, I knew I had to swing for the fence for my first release back. ‘No Easy Way Out’ was a no brainer. The song is iconic, empowering and timeless. I put so much behind my releases, but wanted to make this one extra special and what better way than getting the man himself, Robert Tepper. When Robert and I were in the early discussion stage, I won’t ever forget the first time we had spoke on the phone. A genuine and humble man that in my opinion, is criminally underrated as a songwriter. My heart nearly sank when he agreed to feature on my cover of his. It’s truly been a such a blessing to go back n forth with him as he has remained supportive every step of the way. I only hope to make him proud with this one!” says Arena.

Robert Tepper adds, “How cool is it that Joey included me on this remake? Not only is it a great emotional representation of the song, it sounds amazing!”

The collaboration marks a full-circle moment for Arena, who has been driven by music from a young age. Picking up his first guitar at the age of 10, Joey Arena knew there was no “Plan B”—music was his calling. By 17, he was already a road-seasoned performer, playing night after night and steadily building a loyal fanbase. Hailing from Rochester, NY—a city that’s produced household names like Lou Gramm and Steve Gadd—Arena’s musical journey is deeply rooted in a city rich with artistry and influence.

“No Easy Way Out” is now available on all major streaming platforms via Retro Synth Records.

“No Easy Way Out” can be Streamed/Downloaded here: https://hypeddit.com/qrfzlp

Industrial-Metal Project CIRCLE OF DUST Release New Single ‘Invisible World’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on August 25, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: CELLDWELLER, CIRCLE OF DUST. Leave a comment

Circle of Dust, the ‘90s industrial-metal project of artist/producer Celldweller, is back, announcing a pre-order for the anticipated 2-LP vinyl edition of Circle of Dust’s explosive 2016 comeback album, Machines of Our Disgrace, featuring the new single “Invisible World” out now from FiXT.

Purchase/Stream: https://link.fixtmusic.com/InvisibleWorld

Originally released in 2016 after a nearly two-decade hiatus, Machines of Our Disgrace is Circle of Dust’s fifth full-length album and a powerful statement piece from Klayton, better known to many as Celldweller and Scandroid. The album marked a massive creative resurgence, fusing metal riffs, glitchy electronics, and raw industrial noise into a sound that’s equal parts nostalgic and forward-looking.

Machines of Our Disgrace isn’t just music, it’s a brutal mirror held up to humanity’s accelerating descent into technological dependence. Across 13 core tracks, the album unpacks themes of transhumanism, biohacking, surveillance, dehumanization, and the blurred line between evolution and manipulation. Tracks like “Contagion” and the title track “Machines of Our Disgrace” explore our surrender to the machine and the consequences of automation and blind progress. “alt_Human” and “Neurachem” dive into the ethics of gene editing and synthetic enhancement. “Hive Mind” and “Humanarchy” challenge the illusion of individuality in a digitally homogenized world. On the hauntingly emotional “Outside In,” Klayton shifts gears, revealing a fragile, human core beneath the circuitry with acoustic guitars, layered harmonies, and cinematic sound design.

The album was unflinching, both sonically and lyrically, combining dark, aggressive, and energetic moods into a cohesive and cinematic listening experience. It’s a definitive work of industrial rock and a bold creative milestone in Klayton’s expansive career.

Now Machines of Our Disgrace is available as a 2-disc vinyl, featuring the full original album and an entire second disc of original new songs and remixes from Sebastian Komor, The Anix, The Plague, Zardonic, and Voicians. It also features the new singles “Invisible World” and “Digital Messiah” showcasing Klayton returning to his early 1992 roots of the self-titled Circle Of Dust album, taking inspiration from “Technological Disguise” – a nod to his earlier work.

Released today with the pre-order announcement, “Invisible World” is a defiant anthem that launches listeners headfirst into a dark, dystopian industrial rebellion. The track delivers a high-octane blend of industrial metal, thrash, and gritty cybernetic rock. The single continues Circle of Dust’s legacy of genre-defiant sound design and razor-edged commentary, combining the aggressive pulse of industrial metal, the precision of thrash, and the dark energy that’s become the project’s signature. Longtime fans will find themselves back in familiar mechanical chaos, while new listeners will be slammed by the track’s fierce modern production and unrelenting pace. It’s a track that doesn’t ask questions, it kicks down the door.

Circle of Dust made its triumphant return in 2016 after Klayton regained control of the entire Circle of Dust catalog, re-releasing each album (Self-Titled,  Brainchild, Metamorphosis, Disengage, and beloved side-project Argyle Park) with remastered audio and completely re-imagined art. Later the same year, with the project fully resurrected, the new album Machines of Our Disgrace was released followed by a feature-length documentary, Full Circle: The Birth, Death & Rebirth of Circle of Dust, and full-length remix album alt_Machines in 2018.In 2020, Circle of Dust began releasing a 25th Anniversary Edition of the 1995 self-titled debut album, featuring all-new mixes resurrected on original gear with separate audio tracks for the first time in over 20 years. Each release from the album has received new remixes from modern artists such as Fury Weekend, Soul Extract, Rabbit Junk, Cyanotic, and FreqGen. 2021 kicked off with an updated version of “Twisted Reality” along with a cinematic remix from Void Chapter. The complete Circle Of Dust 25th Anniversary Edition was released in late 2021 followed by the Circle Of Dust (Remixed) album in early 2022.

CANTERVICE Unleash “Zero Hour (Deluxe)” Album, Out Now

Posted by tarjavirmakari on August 25, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: CANTERVICE. Leave a comment

Zero Hour is far from over. The battle continues as CANTERVICE unleashes Zero Hour (Deluxe), a bold expansion on their bombshell album out now from FiXT!

This enhanced edition includes two emotionally charged acoustic re-imaginings of standout tracks “Doomsday” and “Point Of No Return” plus a high-octane remix of “The Masquerade” from drum & bass heavyweights Zardonic and Toronto Is Broken.

In September of 2024, CANTERVICE stepped up with a dark vision of the dystopian future with Zero Hour. “We stand on the precipice of an era where the shadows of oppression grow larger with every passing day. The world as we knew it is gone. Someone hit the reset switch and there were those standing by waiting to take advantage of the chaos,” explained CANTERVICE. Using an electrifying fusion of metalcore, alternative metal, and hard rock, Zero Hour features ten metalcore/alternative metal tracks and is testament to CANTERVICE‘s ability to blend fierce energy with intricate musical compositions. Tracks like “The Masquerade” had already amassed over one million streams across all platforms since inception. The album is packed with powerful anthems that push the boundaries of metalcore, alternative metal, and hard rock. With synthesizers, thrashing guitars, pounding drums, and driving bass lines, CANTERVICE delivers a relentless sonic experience that is both innovative and intense.

Singles like “Doomsday” produced, mixed, and mastered by RIAA Gold and Billboard charting producer/engineer Cameron Mizell, best known for his work with Sleeping With Sirens, Memphis May Fire, I See Stars, and The Word Alive set a high standard for the album. “What I love most about the album is the experience it provides,” explains Cam Mizell. “Robert & his team did a fantastic job creating a theme/vibe/world that the listener can immerse themselves in. Futuristic & perhaps post or pre apocalyptic themes are carried throughout the album in a way that tells a much larger story. A relatable story. As you listen through & connect with Robert’s lyrics, you really start to feel that you are living in the world of CANTERVICE. My goal was simply to catch that vibe & amplify it  Big thanks to CANTERVICE & FiXT for having me on this album! It’s been a pleasure front to back. Enjoy!!!”

Other stand out compositions on Zero Hour include “Into The Dark” which portrays a character who descends into the depths of madness and isolation in a society on the brink of collapse; and “The Masquerade” which establishes its strength with a fierce layer of synthesizers, coupled with the thunderous rhythms, razor-edged guitar riffs, and brutal vocals; and alt-metal single “Blackout” described as an anthem for a rising generation picks up the dystopian-themed story from the citizens’ point of view. This debut album shines with CANTERVICE‘s unique blend of hard-hitting music and poignant lyrics, a perfect example of sonic story telling at its best.

The band goes on to explain, “We’re now staring down the barrel of a future that threatens to annihilate our very humanity. We sacrifice privacy for convenience, freedom for the illusion of security, and our very lives are mirrored in cyberspace, available for anyone to exploit, whilst we’re too distracted by our modern vices to care. However, I stand before you to say that our destiny is not written in stone, but only if we stand not as victims, but as architects of our future. We must unite, and not under the banners that you see to the left and to the right, but as citizens of the Earth forging a new path together. Lift your heads and join us in bringing the dawn of a new era. We have worlds to win, and nothing left to lose. This is our new beginning. This is our Zero Hour.“

Purchase/Stream: https://link.fixtmusic.com/ZeroHour_Deluxe

CANTERVICE is an American concept-based electronic rock project, its core concepts centered around a future dystopian world, plagued by a government that has assumed control over all technology and information. “We simply want to inspire curiosity in those who are open to questioning their reality.” Formed in January of 2021, CANTERVICE was destined to be the solo/side project of Robert Matlock with only one release, “Void.” However “Void” quickly crossed 100,000 streams across all platforms and there was a growing fanbase demanding new music.

CANTERVICE released its second single “The Machine” in December of 2021 leading to them signing to independent multi-genre label FiXT in early 2022. The four piece has released a stream of well received singles “Doomsday,” “Blackout,” “The Masquerade,” “Where Do We Stand,” and “Into The Dark” as they gear up to release their first inaugural album, Zero Hour, set to drop in September of 2024. The line up currently consists of Robert Matlock lead vocals, Randy Methe on drums, Eric Knighton on bass, and Nick Malan on guitar.

“Freedom is an illusion, one created by those who’ve taken the concept of freedom, hijacked it, and then repackaged it into a commodity. We live in a world where our thoughts, feelings, and interactions are stamped with a bar code and sold to the highest bidder. We are all victims of informational and psychological warfare on a day-to-day basis, and our perception of reality has become nothing more than what those wishing to play God have created for us. We belong to them now, and we allowed it to happen. We voted for it, invested in it, and as we descended into a state of Stockholm syndrome, we traded what rights we had left for security, to protect us from the same system that they created. It’s a system created for a single purpose, to ensure that we always will need them. Society has become brainwashed and sedated, slowly entering into a slumber of which there is no return. This was the plan from the beginning, the wheels are in motion and they are making their move. Now the question is, what will we do to stop it?” Welcome to CANTERVICE.

Stream ‘Bad News Honey, Your Boyfriend’s a Pretty Boy’HERE

Clocking in with a punch to the jaw and a smirk on its lips, this high-voltage single doesn’t hold back.
“This track bites back. It’s fast, flashy, and dripping with sarcasm – a sharp jab at fake confidence and the shallow egos that come with it. It’s angry, catchy, and doesn’t pull punches.”

Following on from their critically buzzing debut EP, A Lost Asylum continue to carve out their space with a sound that blends aggressive hooks, searing honesty, and tongue-in-cheek fury. ‘Bad News Honey…’ leans into theatrical bravado, shredding through vanity and vapid charm with every beat.

A Lost Asylum are quickly becoming a name synonymous with unapologetic attitude and undeniable energy. This latest release proves they’re not here to play nice – they’re here to make noise.

A Lost Asylum was formed in November of 2016 in Salt Lake City. The band consists of Holly Watson (Lead Vocals), Tyson Loveridge (Guitar), and Justin Bell (Drums/Unclean Vocals). Touring the West Coast within a year of forming, they have become an unstoppable force. Able to overcome any obstacle in their path in order to keep creating music.

A Lost Asylum brings hard hitting, dark Gothcore through melodic guitar riffs, rhythmic bass, energetic drums, brutal screams, and beautifully dark lead vocals.

They have played alongside The Dead Rabbitts, Famous Last Words, Spite, I Set My Friends On Fire, and The Funeral Portrait. They released their first EP May 2018 and released their first full length album in February, 2020. After a couple of line up changes, A Lost Asylum has found a solid lineup eager to bring a new style of emo music to the world. Proving time and time again the dedication, flexibility, and resilience to keep creating music for everyone to enjoy.

A Lost Asylum are:
Holly Watson – vocals,
