On this tour, they will be celebrating the 20-year release of “Annihilation of the Wicked”, in which Dallas will perform two of the songs he wrote for the album: “Lashed to the Slave Stick” and “The Burning Pits of the Duat”, giving Nile fans the unique opportunity to hear these tracks played live by the original voice and composer. Narcotic Wasteland will also be performing fan favorites and new material, including such tracks as “Barbarian”, “Sex, Lies and DNA”, “Introspective Nightmares”, “Coastal Killings”, “The Best Times Have Passed”, and more!

To mark the launch of their tour, the band is unveiling the official music video for “Introspective Nightmares” today, exclusively on Bravewords HERE.

Narcotic Wasteland is a relentless force in the metal scene, delivering a crushing blend of technical precision, unyielding aggression, and raw energy. Fronted by Dallas Toler-Wade—renowned vocalist and guitarist best known for his work with Nile—he brings his signature technical prowess and intense energy to the band.

On drums, Joseph Howard unleashes a torrent of precision and power, driving the band’s pummeling rhythms with thunderous intensity. His dynamic performance creates the perfect foundation for the band’s heavy and often dark sonic atmosphere.

Kenji Tsunami commands the low end with inventive, hard-hitting bass lines that add both depth and texture, solidifying the band’s signature wall of sound. His stage presence and musicianship bring an extra dimension to Narcotic Wasteland’s live assault.

Together, Dallas, Joseph, and Kenji forge an unstoppable musical unit—one that captivates audiences with high-octane performances and uncompromising compositions. 1914 Announce New Album “Viribus Unitis”, First Single + Video ‘1916 (The Südtirol Offensive)’ Out Now

Ukrainian blackened death/doom metal unit 1914 return with unrelenting power on their fourth studio album, Viribus Unitis, Latin for “With United Forces.” More than just the personal motto of Franz Joseph I, the former emperor of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, this title directly speaks to the band’s resilience through war, loss, and upheaval – a powerful symbol of survival and solidarity. Out on November 14, 2025 via Napalm Records, Viribus Unitis builds on the band’s acclaimed conceptual approach, reaching new emotional depths and musical intensity.

Continuing their chronicle of World War I, 1914 shifts their focus from the raw portrayal of death and destruction, to exploring themes of camaraderie, endurance, and the emotional landscapes of those who endured the horrors of trench warfare. While previous releases like The Blind Leading the Blind (2018) and Where Fear and Weapons Meet (2021) centered on the futility and finality of war, Viribus Unitis exemplifies the interpersonal bonds forged under fire and the strength of those warriors who made it home: broken, changed, yet still alive.

Alongside the album announcement, they reveal their first single: “1916 (The Südtirol Offensive)”, a despairing blackened doom anthem of defiance, recounting the brutal Battle of Asiago in grim, poetic detail. With thunderous riffs and crushing walls of sound, 1914 make the Austro-Hungarian attack on Italy tangible, bringing another piece of history to life through sound, relentlessly and uncompromisingly.

k.u.k. Galizisches IR Nr.15, Gefreiter, Ditmar Kumarberg about “1916 (The Südtirol Offensive)”:
“From May 15 to June 10, 1916, the Italian Front saw one of its most intense clashes: the Battle of Asiago, also known as the Trentino Offensive. The Austro-Hungarian army launched a massive surprise attack, hoping to crush Italian forces and break into the Venetian plains. Nearly 200 battalions and 2000 guns, including 280 heavy artillery pieces, were amassed in Trentino. The Italians, caught off guard, were pushed back – but held the line with fierce resistance. The combined toll of 230,000 casualties on both sides underscores the staggering human cost of the campaign. A brutal reminder of the mountain warfare that defined this front.”

Musically, 1914 remain true to their identity – a brutal mixture of blackened death metal, slow-burning doom, and ambient war soundscapes. This time, however, their sound gains a broader dynamic range, with soaring melodic leads, orchestral textures, and haunting clean vocals that provide dramatic contrast to the crushing heaviness.

1914 about Viribus Unitis:
“Viribus Unitis is about shared strength and the idea that true power lies in unity. Alone, one may fall – together, we can prevail and achieve our goals: Defeat the enemy, escape captivity, survive, and return to your family. We return with a new story. A story of life and military valor of a soldier who encountered the Great War in his native city of Lviv and went through it all. Side by side, with joint efforts of Ukrainians, Poles, Hungarians, Slovenes, Czechs, Slovaks, Jews, Croats, Bosniaks, Germans – all the peoples who made up the vast Austro-Hungarian Empire. Empires did not count people – they threw them into meat grinders where survival was only possible through unity. By helping one another. By sacrificing yourself for the sake of your loved ones and comrades.

This is a story of being blinded by war and the grandeur of the empire, of the heat of battle, realization and acceptance of reality, awakening, changing values, captivity, and liberation. It is a story of unbreakable will to live and hope amidst a terrifying and bloody war. It is a story of a new little life that changes all the rules and forces one to see the familiar from a different perspective. It is a story of love. It is a story of loss and death. Viribus Unitis is when pain, death, loss, loneliness, and fear encircle you. But you’re still unbroken!”

One of the album’s highlights is a collaboration with Aaron Stainthorpe of My Dying Bride and High Parasite on “1918 Pt. 3: ADE (A Duty to Escape),” whose mournful voice adds a solemn, almost liturgical quality to this elegy of grief and brotherhood on the front lines. Viribus Unitis deepens 1914’s commitment to historical authenticity, both lyrically and conceptually. Told through real events and personal accounts of a Ukrainian soldier in the K.u.K. Army, the album traces a timeline from 1914 to 1919, painting a grim journey through the war’s rise, climax, and hollow aftermath. From the brooding opener “War In” to the bleak closer “War Out (The End?)”, each track captures a moment in time: the brutal “1914 (The Siege of Przemyśl)”, the frostbitten “1915 (Zwinin Ridge)”, the crushing Alpine combat of “1916 (Südtirol Offensive)”, and the madness of “1918 Pt. 2: POW (Prisoner of War)” featuring Christopher Scott of Precious Death. The album ends with “1919 (The Home Where I Died),” featuring Rome’s Jerome Reuter, a haunting portrait of a soldier who survived the war, but not its shadow. This emotional song deals with the soldier’s will to live and his family values, seeing him escape from captivity to finally return home to embrace his wife and daughter. 1914 fuse blackened death metal, doom, and atmospheric textures with dramatic flourishes and guest vocals, creating their most dynamic and emotionally resonant record to date.

Drawing inspiration from timeless folklore — particularly the stories of the Pied Piper of Hamelin and the Wizard — “Book Of Fate” promises to deliver an epic narrative set to the band’s trademark heavy and melodic soundscapes.

While not being a concept album, these were themes the band came back to regularly during writing sessions.
The new lineup infused the album with a newfound energy, resulting in a faster paced release that harks back to earlier days of the bands roots. Meanwhile the anthemic choruses the band has become known for remain prominent.

Produced by DARKER HALF’s drummer Dom Simpson at Elephant Sounds Studio, Australia, the album was mixed by Chris Themelco at Monolith Studios and mastered by Thomas Plec Johansson at The Panic Room. The stunning cover artwork was created by Karim Konig.

This epic odyssey in sound and story called “Book Of Fate” will be released as Ltd. Vinyl LP, CD Digipak, and Digital. Pre-orders are available HERE: https://save-it.cc/massacre/book-of-fate

Brooklyn hardcore legends BIOHAZARD unleash their explosive new single “Eyes On Six” from their upcoming album ‘Divided We Fall,’ their first studio release in over a decade, out October 17th via BLKIIBLK. Reuniting the original lineup, the album delivers a blistering statement of unity amid chaos. “Eyes On Six” arrives alongside a powerful new music video, available to watch below.

Billy Graziadei (vocals/guitar) on the song:

“You don’t have to come from the ‘cold streets’ to feel like the odds are stacked against you and to know what it feels like to rise above hard times – when we find ways to survive, against all odds, we adopt a mindset of welcoming challenges. Forged in fire, that strength and determination and grit and heart is the underlying credo of Biohazard. Knock us down nine times, we’ll get up a tenth time and push forward, no matter what! No matter where you come from, play your cards right, know who your friends are, and keep your circle tight!”

Produced, mixed, and mastered by Matt Hyde (Slayer, Hatebreed, Deftones), ‘Divided We Fall’ captures BIOHAZARD at their most raw, relentless, and unifying. The album blends the band’s unmistakable fusion of hardcore, metal, and streetwise groove with a sharpened edge for a fractured modern world delivering a powerful reminder of why BIOHAZARD remains one of the most vital and influential bands in heavy music.

Bobby Hambel (guitars) on the album:

“We are really excited to finally have the classic BIOHAZARD lineup back together in the studio. This album has been a long time coming, and the record is straight from our hearts – we can’t wait for everybody to hear it, and to head out and play these new songs live. See you out there!”

Recording sessions took place at Shorefire Recording Studios (Long Branch, NJ) and The Hydeaway (Van Nuys, CA), with engineering by Joseph DeMaio and additional recording from Matt Hyde. Guitar and production tech duties were handled by Phil Caivano.

BIOHAZARD’s upcoming release via BLKIIBLK marks a new chapter in a storied career that began in the late ’80s, one defined by aggressive sound, socially conscious lyrics, and an unwavering commitment to their roots.

Pre-Order ‘Divided We Fall’ HERE

‘Divided We Fall’ Track List:

BIOHAZARD will be on their “Divided We Fall Tour” this Fall with support from Onyx, Bayway, and Swollen Teeth, including a homecoming show at the Warsaw in Brooklyn on October 28th. A full list of dates is below.

About the tour, Evan Seinfeld (vocals/bass) comments:

“Judgement Night. The script writes itself. BIOHAZARD is excited to announce our first headlining tour of the U.S. in more than a decade, celebrating our 30-plus year history with Onyx, two of the most hardcore entities in our respective genres. Bayway are killing it, reminiscent of BIOHAZARD’s early rise, and Swollen Teeth bring an entirely different element of heaviness to captivate crowds and evolve our scene. This is going to be a tribal ceremony and a place to release your negative energy in a positive way – see you in the pit!”

Musical pioneers in every sense of the word, BIOHAZARD were one of the first bands to seamlessly blend hardcore, heavy metal, punk, and hip hop into an intoxicating genre all their own. After more than a decade away, the Brooklyn, NY band’s OG lineup reunited in 2023 to both fan fervor and critical acclaim, headlining the opening night of the legendary Milwaukee Metal Fest for their first show back. Ghost Cult Magazine said they “explosively unleashed their fury with fortitude and force” with “a superhuman set and an awe-inspiring show.”

The band followed with two sold-out hometown shows in New York City, a late-summer festival run in the UK and Europe, and a fall direct support slot with Megadeth across North America. That was just the start. They returned to Europe and the UK in 2024 for the early summer festival season – including a headlining slot at Download – and made their triumphant return to South America in spring, then returned home to blow out America’s exploding festival circuit.

Their return did more than turn heads; it caused whiplash, and they partnered with BlkIIBlk Records to record and release new music. More incendiary and relentless than ever, the trailblazers have a fresh outlook and revitalized spirit. This is more than a reunion – for bassist/vocalist Evan Seinfeld, guitarist/vocalist Billy Graziadei, guitarist Bobby Hambel, and drummer Danny Schuler, it’s a revitalization and rebirth.

Bobby Hambel – lead guitar

ASIRA Announce New Album “As Ink In Water” + Premiere Lead Single ‘Clarity’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on August 21, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: ASIRA. Leave a comment

Reading-based UK progressive metal band Asira return after eight years with “As Ink in Water”, the long-awaited follow-up to their successful debut album “Efference”. Released this November, the new record is a bold and intimate exploration of grief, faith, and the fragility of the human experience.

Ahead of the new album, the band has released a lyric video for lead single “Clarity”.

“Clarity was written in the aftermath of a close friend losing their life to cancer at a young age. It is a celebration of his faith, and an appreciation of how it gave him the strength and repose to face his life being cut short, believing that his next life was about to begin. The song is told from the perspective of an atheist, addressing their dying friend. Despite not believing, our narrator cannot deny the beauty and worth that faith can deliver to someone navigating their final days. It ends with the cold acceptance that the song may indeed be addressed to nobody, in the wake of the friend’s passing, yet with the warm and grateful acknowledgement that we cannot know for sure.” – Asira (August 2025)

With “Clarity”, Asira set the emotional tone for their sophomore album as a song that digs deeper into what it truly means to be human.

Created slowly and deliberately, “As Ink in Water” is the result of eight years of emotional and musical exploration. Much of it was recorded at ELM Studios, the personal studio of guitarist Martin Williams, giving the band complete creative freedom to shape each detail with care. The result is a record that fuses the intensity of black metal with the expansiveness of progressive rock, the textures of shoegaze, the resonance of choral music, and the deep soul of the blues. Produced with clarity and warmth, the album shifts seamlessly between dynamic contrasts and unpredictable darker structures, offering listeners a sound that is both challenging and deeply rewarding.

The album features returning drummer Sam Greenland, whose work balances aggression and control; bassist Alex Taylor, offering grounding warmth; and Lydia Williams, whose soprano voice elevates the album’s most emotionally charged moments. One track even captures the voice of Martin and Lydia’s son, Ellias, hidden within the album’s stormiest layers.

At its core “As Ink In Water” is about humanity, not in abstract terms, but in intimate, often uncomfortable detail. It explores mental illness, trauma, terminal illness, and displacement. Yet it never loses hope.

This is a record about care, about holding space for others, and allowing ourselves to be held in return. It’s unflinching, but never cold. Through highs that shimmer and lows that crush, “As Ink in Water” pushes us toward something more generous, more open-hearted.

Each song tells a deeply human story of anxiety, grief, fury, compassion, and healing. From the suffocating stillness of depression (Silence of Mind), to a eulogy rooted in love and doubt (Clarity), to righteous fury at injustice (Cauterise), to a belief in empathy’s revival amid global crisis (In Sunrise), and finally, to quiet gratitude in love’s lasting calm (Still); the album traces a journey through shadow toward understanding.

Visually, the album returns to the work of artist Scott Naismith, whose vivid oil landscapes once again capture the tone of the music. This time, the artwork reflects not only colour and scale, but fragility, stillness, and the suspended emotion that defines the album’s darker corners.

“As Ink in Water” is released 14th November 2025.

Album Tracklist:

1. Silence of Mind
2. Clarity
3. Descent
4. Cauterise
5. In Sunrise
6. Ascent
7. Still

SIRENIA to Re-Issue Two Classic Albums “At Sixes And Sevens” & “An Elixer For Existence”

Posted by tarjavirmakari on August 21, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: Sirenia. Leave a comment

Hammerheart Records have announced the reissue of two Sirenia goth metal classics, which will see the light of day on 10th October, 2025. At Sixes And Sevens (2002) and An Elixer for Existance (2004) will see a release on vinyl for the first time.

Both albums can be pre-ordered here: https://sirenia.lnk.to/atsixesandsevens

After leaving Tristania, one of the key bands in early gothic metal, Morten Veland created Sirenia to pursue his own musical vision without compromise. At Sixes and Sevens picks up where Beyond the Veil left off, but pushes further into gothic, gymphonic, and progressive metal territory. At Sixes And Sevens blends heavy riffs, layered synths, and dramatic vocal arrangements into something both dark and cinematic. Pete Johansen’s violin adds a haunting edge, and the vocal approach expands beyond the usual growl/clean contrast, adding a third clean male voice for more dynamic interplay. An Elixir for Existence is a darker, heavier, and even more immersive step into the depths of gothic metal. This is where emotional weight meets sheer sonic intensity.

To fans of this emotionally and musically complex art form, this is truly an essential part of any collection of gothic metal albums. It underscores Veland’s unique ability to mold together a large collection of ideas into one cohesive musical illustration of dark beauty.

Track-list:
1. Lithium and a Lover
 2. Voices Within
 3. A Mental Symphony
 4. Euphoria
 5. In My Darkest Hours
 6. Save Me From Myself
 7. The Fall Within
