LORD OF THE LOST show their emotional side and present the final video of the OPVS NOIR trilogy with the music video for their single “The Days Of Our Lives”, unveiled today. With the release of OPVS NOIR Vol. 3 this Friday, April 10, the band concludes the album trilogy that began in the summer of 2025. “The Days Of Our Lives” is a soulful and seemingly hopeless ballad, situated somewhere between a soundtrack and cold electronica, and, as the closing track, serves as the curtain call for the entire work.

With nearly half a million listeners on Spotify, their appearance at the Eurovision final in 2023, followed by a number-one album and international tours with Iron Maiden, LORD OF THE LOST are proving themselves to be one of the most exciting and successful acts on the scene right now. OPVS NOIR Vol. 3 represents the creative peak of a band whose repertoire leaves no room for stagnation. The year started with shows in the USA, Canada, and Australia, and now continues with a headline run across Europe. All tour dates are noted below.

The most out-of-the-box of the full album trilogy, OPVS NOIR Vol. 3, the third and final chapter of LORD OF THE LOST’s latest journey, sees the six-piece close this era on a fulminant high note, intertwining heavy guitars and dark electronica with compassionate messages and cinematic orchestrations. It continues to push the band’s unpredictable path without settling for the familiar. Rounding off this impressive work, the album takes listeners by the hand and guides them through their darkest paths.

first formats are already sold out!

Following the captivating BLOOD & GLITTER, which brought them to the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 and a #1 chart entry in their native Germany to go along with it, LORD OF THE LOST once again demonstrate their unmatched diversity on OPVS NOIR Vol. 3. Initiated by beautiful cello melodies, “Kill The Lights” is an overture like no other, setting a dark mood, but also unafraid to switch it up to make room for catchy and reassuring “I’m A Diamond”. Stomping “I Hate People” invites horror punk icon WEDNESDAY 13 to an industrial duet about equality, after which gentle “The Shadows Within” hits twice as hard with its symphonic arrangement.

Next, Chris Harms and parting KISSIN’ DYNAMITE frontman Hannes Braun deliver “La Vie Est Hell”, before going back to “Square One”. “When Did The Love Break?” is a heartfelt song of lost love – the addition of whimsical vocals by Ambre Vourvahis of XANDRIA drives the emotions of this universal topic right home. After “Your Love Is Colder Than Death”, LORD OF THE LOST team up with Damien Edwards of British glam rock band CATS IN SPACE for the captivating duet “Take Me Far Away”, before the album closes with a ballad, “The Days Of Our Lives” – the sweeping track simultaneously being the closest LORD OF THE LOST have ever been to a cinematic soundtrack. The happy ending is skipped, almost making it sound like a goodbye…

OPVS NOIR Vol. 3: the trilogy is finally concluded.

SOLACE Reveal First Single ‘Beyond Below’ & Details of Forthcoming New Album “Fading Failing Ruin”

In the heat of summer, SOLACE will return with their massively anticipated fifth full-length “Fading Failing Ruin” on July 3, 2026, via Magnetic Eye Records. The iconic self-styled dirt metal act from New Jersey, USA begin by revealing the single‘Beyond Below‘ as a first welcome taste of the album to come. Pre-orders are now available HERE

In advance of the album release, SOLACE will pack new songs and classics into their flight cases and embark on a European tour starting on May 7, 2026 in the French capital city of Paris. Please find the album details of “Fading Falling Ruin” and all currently confirmed live datesbelow.

SOLACE comment on ‘Beyond Below’: “When we released our last record ‘The Brink’, I swore it wouldn’t take another nine years till the next one“, guitarist Tommy Southard admits. “Well, it took us six and a half, which for Solace is pretty good! About the first single, I had a couple of riffs that Timmy and I used to play years and years ago in the pre-Godspeed days. Last year at a Solace practice, I started jamming one of the riffs as a goof to Timmy and Justin heard it and asked me: ‘What the hell is that man? That needs to go on the new record!’ At first, I laughed it off, because I had been a 14-year old metalhead when I wrote this tune, but once we tweaked it a bit – Mikey threw a part in the middle and we worked it into a complete song – it was obvious that it was going to turn into a monster. The track came out pretty amazing considering how far back in the archive it went, but that’s the perks of doing this your whole damn life. I can hardly believe it’s been 30 years since I started this band. Yet Solace is still here somehow, and ‘Fading Failing Ruin’ is the best thing we’ve ever musically done. Literally everybody in this band played and worked their asses off for this record!“

Tracklist

  1. Spiral Will
  2. Fettered to a Stone
  3. A God Changes His Plans
  4. Wrath’s Object (The Big Fall)
  5. Culling the Herd
  6. Beyond Below
  7. Malengine (The Scaffold)
  8. Every Day Is a Loaded Gun
  9. Ridden

SOLACE deliver their fifth studio album “Fading Failing Ruin” just in time to celebrate the anniversary of their 30th year as a band. And all the heaviness, experience, and obvious maturity of their songwriting across three decades is perfectly reflected in the seeming ease with which these master craftsmen hammer out one captivating and crushing track after the other.

Revolving around apocalyptic, infernal, and end time themes that easily fit this day and age, “Fading Failing Ruin” nails the current global mood by taking a strong dose of inspiration from the earliest days of metal and blending it with contemporary heaviness.

A direct link goes back to 1996, when SOLACE rose from the ashes of GODSPEED, who made their name on Headbanger’s Ball and Beavis & Butthead, appeared on the “Nativity in Black” tribute backing Bruce Dickinson, and toured with CATHEDRAL and BLACK SABBATH. Emerging at the dawn of the internet and the burgeoning stoner rock scene, SOLACE were driven by hardcore-infused metal, captivating vocals, and a dark doom underbelly.

The New Jersey band hit the scene with their ferocious debut “Further” in 2000. Its tracks remain as contemporary and relevant as in those early days, and an extended and re-mastered 25th anniversary edition became an unplanned but much deserved tribute to brilliant yet tortured original SOLACE vocalist Jason L., who had sadly passed away in January 2025.

SOLACE continued to build on a solid foundation of classic metal, early doom, and punk ethic into which the four-piece infused a healthy dose of hardcore fury and groovy, grinding sludge.

Three years after the worldwide success of “Further”, SOLACE returned with the sophomore album “13” (2003), which highlighted the epic side of their songwriting. In the wake of this album, the band was invited twice to perform at the prestigious Roadburn Festival in 2006 and 2009.

The shoremen returned with their highly praised third album “A.D.” in 2010. Despite the band’s growing acclaim, SOLACE took an informal hiatus to revamp their lineup, returning even stronger with full-length number four, “The Brink”, in 2019.

SOLACE have called their amalgamation of doom and heavy metal with hardcore elements dirt metal, while elsewhere it has been somewhat tongue-in-cheekily dubbed shorecore. Others file the New Jersey five-piece under stoner metal – and in truth, all these descriptions have and still fit the band to an extent.

With “Fading Failing Ruin”, SOLACE erect a new milestone of US heavy metal that respects traditions from both sides of the Atlantic while churning toward a chaotic future. Time to bang those heads!

On October 31, black metal history will be written in Oslo. For one night only, three of Norway’s most influential and globally revered bands – Dimmu Borgir, Satyricon and Enslaved – will unite at Oslo Spektrum for a landmark event set to become the biggest black metal show ever staged on Norwegian soil.

Tickets go on sale Friday April 10th 10:00 CET HERE

Few genres have had the global cultural impact of Norwegian black metal – and today, its dominance is undeniable. From headlining Europe’s premier festivals to selling out venues worldwide, Norwegian acts continue to define and push the genre forward. UNHOLY HALLOWEEN brings together three of its most pioneering forces for an exclusive, once-in-a-generation celebration of the scene’s past, present and future.

Each band arrives at this moment at the height of its powers. Dimmu Borgir recently headlined Tons of Rock, Satyricon has sold out the Oslo Opera House and delivered a critically acclaimed commission for the Munch Museum, while Enslaved continues to redefine the genre – earning multiple Norwegian Grammy Awards for their groundbreaking work. For Dimmu Borgir, the night also marks a long-awaited homecoming. It has been 15 years since their last headline show in Oslo – a landmark performance with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra at the very same venue.

“We’re releasing our new album Grand Serpent Rising this spring, followed by extensive touring across Europe and other markets. By the time we return to Norway, we’ll be ready to deliver something truly massive. Since it’s been so long since our last headline show at home, we’re going all in. This will be the biggest Dimmu Borgir production to date,” says vocalist Shagrath.

“It’s been over 20 years since I first explored the idea of bringing together some of the giants of Norwegian black metal on the biggest stages in Europe. We never made it happen back then. Now, two decades later, it’s finally becoming a reality – and on a scale beyond anything we imagined. This will be our Super Bowl,” says Sigurd Wongraven (Satyricon).

“We are very excited about being invited to be part of this massive endeavour; which will celebrate the leading edge of Norwegian Metal on the appropriate scale! We will bring our best game as always… and then some!”, compliments Enslaved’s Ivar Bjørnson.

Guitarist Silenoz emphasizes the broader significance of the event: “This is more than a concert – it’s a statement. A celebration of a culture we’ve helped build over decades. Sharing the stage at Oslo Spektrum with bands that have been part of that same journey feels both significant and necessary.”

Elastic Fono Band is a new group formed by veteran alternative rock musicians from Oulu, Finland. It is built around the original lineup of the band Brüssel Kaupallinen, which was active in the 1990s. A significant difference from Brussel Kaupallinen is the band’s New Zealand–born vocalist, Lance Fono. His English-language interpretation brings new shades to the band’s expression while still maintaining a connection to its past.

The band’s self-titled debut album features heavy, rocking, melodic, and even experimental elements. Bearing the band’s own name, the record stands as one of the most intriguing releases of 2026 for fans of heavy music and alternative rock.

KIRKE Release New Single And Music Video ‘Demoni’

How would YOU face your demons? Eye to eye, by embracing them and unleashing the power within?

Kirke, a genre-bending rock/punk/metal band from Finland, draws strength from aggression and grassroots rebellion. Their sound fuses punk-driven attitude with the intensity of 90’s metal, wrapped in pop-leaning hooks and undeniable catchiness. Armed with lyrics loaded with unpleasant truths, and songs powered by heavy rocking riffs and symphonic and cinematic melodies Kirke is ready to turn up the volume.

And about unleashing those demons? Kirke’s brand new track “Demoni”, does exactly that. It is a wholehearted declaration of “I’ve had enough”, a bold embrace of inner power that challenges the age-old myth that a girl must be quiet and obedient.  A message this powerful deserves a soundtrack to match. From its eerie, blues-tinged intro to its explosive riffage and haunting synth layers, “Demoni” delivers. Catchy and brutal, playful and wicked. Your new favorite anthem to headbang to.

“Demoni” is out now on the streaming services near you: https://push.fm/fl/kirke-demoni

NARNIA Share New Single ‘Oceanwide’ from Upcoming 10th Album

Swedish melodic metal pioneers NARNIA release their new single “Oceanwide” offering the first glimpse of their upcoming tenth studio album, ‘X,’ set for release on May 29, 2026 via Sound Pollution.

“Oceanwide” is a classic NARNIA song in every sense — melodic, uplifting, and instantly memorable. With its strong chorus and unmistakable melodic metal identity, the track has already made its mark live, having been performed since last summer’s Brazil tour with Stryper.

Produced and mixed by CJ Grimmark and mastered by Thomas “Plec” Johansson at Studio Bohus, “Oceanwide” is available now on all major digital platforms.

Vocalist Christian Liljegren comments:

“’Oceanwide’ is one of those songs that really represents the heart of this album. It has the melodies, the energy, and the sense of scale that felt right as the first single to introduce ‘X.’”

Stream / Listen HERE

NARNIA‘s upcoming album, ‘X,’ marks the bands 30th anniversary and nearly three decades of unwavernig presence on the international metal scene.

While their previous release ‘Ghost Town’ (2023) reaffirmed the band’s melodic metal foundation, ‘X’ expands NARNIA’s sonic landscape. The album moves confidently between soaring, arena-ready choruses and more adventurous, progressive passages, without ever losing the band’s unmistakable identity.

Songs like “Oceanwide,” “Every Breath,” and “Heaven’s Calling” showcase NARNIA’s gift for strong hooks and uplifting melodies. At the other end of the spectrum, the high-energy “Remedy (SOS)” pushes the tempo to new heights, while tracks such as “God Under Fire” and “Jerusalem” explore more intricate arrangements and progressive textures.

Multiple lead vocalists share the spotlight throughout the album. Guitarist CJ Grimmark and bassist Jonatan “Jono” Samuelsson step forward on selected tracks, adding new tonal colors, while Christian Liljegren’s unmistakable voice continues to anchor the sound.

The album also reconnects with the band’s legacy. “The Man from Nazareth Pt. II” serves as a continuation of a fan-favorite from the 2006 album ‘Enter the Gate,’ while “The War that Tore the Land (Reprise)” offers a reflective callback to 2019’s ‘From Darkness to Light.’

Guitarist CJ Grimmark comments:

“This album represents both where we come from and where we’re heading. It’s heavier, broader, and more dynamic, but still unmistakably NARNIA.”

Pre-Order HERE

‘X’ Track List:

  1. Like A Thief In The Night
  2. Oceanwide
  3. Heavens Calling
  4. Walk On Water
  5. God Under Fire
  6. Remedy (Sos)
  7. Jerusalem
  8. Every Breath
  9. The War That Tore The Land (Reprise)
  10. The Man From Nazareth Pt. II

Christian Liljegren: Vocals
CJ Grimmark: Guitars, backing vocals
Jonatan Samuelsson: Bass, backing vocals
