HELLRIPPER Signs to Century Media Records, Shares New Music Teaser

The brainchild of guitarist/vocalist/solitary force, James McBain, HELLRIPPER has been running like a denim-vested, backpatch-encrusted William Wallace, brave-hearting his way through metal’s bloodiest battlefields since first coagulating his personal darkness in 2014. Taking armaments from ‘Kill ‘Em All’ era Hetfield and ‘Welcome to Hell’ era Mantas, McBain has immersed his fascination with darkness and speed with Scottish history and come with bloody masterpieces like 2023’s’ Warlocks Grim & Withered Hags’ that Metal Injection stated, ‘Bursts with growth and a mature exploration of darkness and eeriness while maintaining that original high-octane burning.”

“I’m very pleased to announce that HELLRIPPER is now working with Century Media Records!” comments McBain. “It’s a label that I’ve followed for a long time now and am honoured to become a part of such a great legacy. We share a common vision for the future of the band, and together, we vow to spread the word of the Goat Kvlt! I’m excited to embark on this new chapter of the band’s journey and I can’t wait to share it with you all! All Hail the Goat!”

McBain is presently sharpening his blades and casting new spells that will transmogrify into HELLRIPPER‘s Century Media debut, due around the vernal equinox of 2026. In the meantime, McBain and his trusted roundtable of sonic knights have taken to battle on European soil, leaving the likes of Norway’s Beyond the Gates, Czech’s Brutal Assault, and Germany’s Summer Breeze bloodied and staggering in their wake. In March 2025, HELLRIPPER played their first U.S. show at Houston’s Hell’s Heroes festival to a similarly stunned crowd of fans who were left beaten, bruised and beer-soaked by a crowd-swimming McBain by the set’s epic conclusion.

“HELLRIPPER is the high-bar for thrash”, states Century Media, Vice President of A&R, Mike Gitter. “Like an angry billy goat, with his beard washed in blood, James McBain is a feral force that brings together the best elements of metal, black metal, crusty, d-beat punk and speed metal. James’ sonic evil knows no boundaries and isn’t afraid to push the extremes of earslaughtering noise or unexpected guitar melodies. Century Media is proud to be a refuge for the Goat Horde!”

BLOODRIDE Unleash New Lyric Video for ‘King of Pain’

Finnish thrash metal juggernauts BLOODRIDE return with the lyric video for “King of Pain”, the latest offering from their new album, Deafening — out now worldwide through Wormholedeath.

“King of Pain” is a vicious psychological purge — a relentless dive into numbness, rage, and the unbearable weight of existence. With razor-edged riffs and raw, unfiltered lyrics, the track explores a protagonist trapped in a cycle of self-loathing and emotional torment, ruled by a need to feel something — even if it’s pain. It’s not just a song; it’s a scream from the void, a twisted anthem for those who’ve ever stared into the abyss and dared it to stare back.

Formed in Helsinki in 2000, BLOODRIDE have spent over two decades perfecting their signature cocktail of razor-sharp thrash, death metal menace, and hardcore aggression. The band’s previous album, Idiocracy (2021), was praised across international metal media for its unrelenting energy and cutting social commentary — a tradition that Deafening carries forward with even greater ferocity.

RELICON Drop Video for ‘Emergence’ from Upcoming EP

Finnish alternative metal outfit Relicon unveils a haunting new music video ahead of their upcoming EP “Ephemeral Triumphs,” set for release on August 29, 2025.

“Emergence” is a slow-burning, atmospheric piece that drifts between gothic gloom and alternative metal. Rich with aching beauty and emotional depth, the track explores themes of inner dissonance, quiet resilience, and the search for solace. Haunting melodies and textured instrumentation build a cinematic world where sorrow breathes—and in a poignant turn, guest musician Tommi Palomäki adds mournful saxophone lines that deepen the track’s ethereal pull.

Relicon, the brainchild of Antti-Pekka Meronen, began in 1998 as a solo project, with Antti writing and recording everything himself. After evolving into a full band in the mid-2000s and releasing four demos, the group eventually disbanded. Antti continued creating music online with occasional collaborators until a long hiatus between 2012 and 2017.

In 2024, Relicon signed to WormHoleDeath and released the EP “Consequences of Disbelief.” Soon after, drummer Mikko Kuhno and longtime bassist Tuukka Mauranen joined the fold. The trio’s follow-up EP, “Ephemeral Triumphs” (2025), blends re-recorded early material with new experimental directions—including the haunting track “Emergence” featuring guest saxophonist Tommi Palomäki.

Fusing Finnish melancholy with gothic and alternative metal, Ephemeral Triumphs dives into themes of inner collapse, surreal journeys, and eerie lullabies—marking Relicon’s boldest statement yet.

BEAST EAGLE to Release Thunderous New Single ‘The Dead Follow’ on August 15th

Golden Robot Records is proud to announce the release of ‘The Dead Follow’, the blistering new single from Nebraskan heavy rock conjurors Beast Eagle, dropping August 15 on all major platforms and available to pre-save now.

‘The Dead Follow’ crashes open with thunderous riffs and a pulse that never settles. It tells the story of a witch rising from the ashes of the ordinary – her magic awakening as the world begins to burn. Spells come without warning. Fire dances at her fingertips. And everything familiar begins to warp into something unrecognizable.

The single is a raw surge of rebellion and mysticism, channeling the disorientation of transformation into a hard-hitting sonic ritual. It’s a battle cry for anyone who’s ever outgrown their past and stepped into something darker, stranger, and more powerful than the world could handle. Beast Eagle delivers a sound that bites – equal parts doom, groove, and unrelenting rock fury.

‘The Dead Follow’ sets the tone for ‘Sorceress’, Beast Eagle’s thunderous upcoming EP – a tale forged in shadows, soaked in vengeance, and written in riffs. Each track tells a chapter of The Witch’s story – sacrifice, fury, and liberation – brought to life through earth-shaking drums, beast-like guitars, and vocals that summon the storm. This is more than a single. This is the beginning of the reckoning.
