Rising Steel are pleased to unveil their new single and official music video, “Black Martin”, taken from the upcoming new studio album “Legion Of The Grave”, set for release on August 29th, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.

Pre-Order “Legion Of The Grave” HERE

The band said: “Black Martin” is a dark and emotional journey through the mind of a tormented soul. Caught between crime, poverty, and a cursed fate, the character battles inner demons, seeking redemption in a world that shows no mercy. It’s a haunting confession – part nightmare, part desperate prayer – from someone lost in the shadows, but still searching for a way out”.

“At its core, Black Martin tells the story of a professional killer who, despite his thirst for violence and the blood on his hands, longs to escape eternal damnation. Torn between his deadly instincts and a fading hope for salvation, he walks a doomed path where forgiveness feels forever out of reach”, they added. “Musically, the track is steeped in the spirit of doom metal legends like Candlemass and Black Sabbath – heavy, slow, and soaked in despair. Massive riffs, haunting melodies, and an atmosphere thick with dread carry this tale of a soul trapped in its own darkness”.

Talking about the album, the band commented: “Sharpened in both sound and spirit, we returned to a more old-school heavy metal approach – without losing the raw energy and intensity that have long defined our style. Every track hits with precision, driven by razor-sharp riffs, commanding vocals, and an organic production that channels the true passion of real metal.”

“The album explores darker and more introspective themes, focusing on lost identity, inner struggles, and the strength to rise again. With a mix of raw emotion and powerful imagery, we aim to take the listener on a journey through personal battles that reflect broader human experiences. It’s both a statement of resistance and a search for meaning”, they continued.

Rising Steel’s new album, “Legion Of The Grave” is their fourth full-length studio effort and it sees the French metallers playing as ferociously as ever, while continuing to evolve their heavy and aggressive sound.

The album was recorded in France by Mathieu Gaud and Steel Zard at Studio de la Plaine (KNT) and Lezard Studio. Mixing duties were handled by Staffan Karlsson and Rickard Bengtsson at Sweetspot Studio in Sweden, known for their work with bands like Meshuggah and Arch Enemy. It was mastered by the renowned Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studios in Finland, ensuring a production that’s as powerful and precise as the music itself.

Based in Grenoble, France, Rising Steel deliver a “not so” classical heavy metal experience, drawing strong influence from the ‘80s NWOBHM movement, as well as elements of hard rock and thrash. With nods to iconic bands like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, their music also appeals to fans of Metallica, Accept, Saxon, Grand Magus, Nevermore, and Slayer.

Following the release of their debut EP “Warlord” (2014) and the full-length album “Return Of The Warlord” (2016), the band gained traction by sharing stages with acts such as Jaded Heart, Sister Sin, Nightmare, ADX, Nashville Pussy, and Annihilator. This helped increase their international visibility.

Their second and third albums, “Fight Them All” and “Beyond The Gates Of Hell”, both released via Frontiers Music Srl, further cemented their reputation in the European metal scene.

Now, with “Legion Of The Grave”, Rising Steel return with an explosive offering full of crushing riffs, high-speed rhythms, and no-compromise heavy metal power. It’s a must listen for headbangers seeking pure, unfiltered metal mayhem.

Holler has released a video for “Chandelier”, taken from the new album “Next In Line” released in May by Scarlet Records.

The idea of covering Sia’s massive global hit came from the mind of Matteo Chimenti, Holler’s keyboardist and main composer. He completely overturned and rewrote the music, minus the vocal line – a real challenge for Terence Holler! The end result is a heavy blues track with a strong impact: a hommage to a great artist & performer, and an amazing ‘new song’ on its own!

video by Jimmy Burrow

“Next In Line”:

  • sophomore album for the hard rock/AOR project of the former Eldritch frontman;
  • Brooklyn-born Terence Holler keeps revealing his very own American classic rock influences;
  • featuring a cool hard rock cover version of Sia 2014’s hit “Chandelier”;
  • artwork by Luca ʻZeeroʼ Zironi (Game Over);

After the successful 2024’s debut album “Reborn”, Terence Holler keeps digging into his 70s and 80s hard rock/AOR DNA and releases ten refreshing new songs that once again celebrate the absolute mystery of love.

Backed by a sensational band of technical masters, the Italian American singer is finally free to fully express his storytelling vein. “Next In Line” is a precious collection of memories and feelings: at times cocky and sensual, at times tender and moody, always heartfelt, sincere and honest.

Love is a funky & groovy affair according to the Holler recipe!

Terence Holler – lead vocals
Denis Chimenti – guitar, backing vocals

MÄDHOUSE Premiere ‘It’s A Monster In My Head’ Music Video from New Studio Album

In support of their latest, critically-acclaimed studio album “Plead The Fifth” (released last week via ROAR here), Austrian glam metal rockers Mädhouse have shared a brand new music video for the high voltage track “It’s A Monster In My Head”!

Mädhouse founding member and guitarist, Mikky Stixx, tells us about the song:
“Nothing clouds your brain like the unfiltered consumption of nonsensical information. On the trip of being increasingly influenced by the media, we lose control over ourselves. You might as well take a noseful of mycotoxin.

– On the prowl for satisfaction oh no, it´s a crying shame On the run from counteraction Insane is my middle name!”

Formed in 2017 by Mikky Stixx, Mädhouse‘s origins trace back to a spontaneous Hard N’ Heavy show, where 18 rock musicians gathered, leading to the band’s creation. Drawing inspiration from legendary acts like Mötley Crüe, Skid Row, and Ratt, Mädhouse blends the raw energy of classic glam metal with a modern hard rock edge. Their sound is unmistakable—gritty riffs, anthemic choruses, and an unapologetic attitude that demand attention. Since their debut, the band has continuously evolved while staying true to their wild, rebellious spirit.

The band’s first album, “Money Talks Bullshit Walks” (2019), introduced their high-energy style, followed by “Bad Habits” (2021), a more polished and aggressive follow-up. They further refined their sound with “Down ‘N’ Dirty” (2022), and now, their latest release, “Plead The Fifth”, pushes the boundaries even further with heavier riffs, bolder lyrics, and an electrifying presence!

Known for their explosive live performances and larger-than-life stage presence, Mädhouse continues to captivate audiences worldwide. The current line-up features Tommy Lovelace on vocals, Mikky Stixx and Thommy Black on guitars and backing vocals, Rickey Dee on bass, and Bobby B Bastard on drums. Together, they keep the spirit of glam metal alive, delivering high-octane rock that never backs down. With “Plead The Fifth”, they prove once again that glam metal is far from dead — it’s louder, bolder, and wilder than ever. Turn up the volume, join the madness, and let rock ‘n’ roll reign!

Finnish heavy rock band I.F.A released the fourth and last single ‘Tiimalasi’ from their forthcoming eponymous second studio album which is set to be released on August 8th 2025 via Inverse Records. A music video has also been made for the track, which can be viewed below.

The band comments:
“The composition of the album’s title track has been a long-standing idea of a versatile slower piece, the different sections of which have found different chord progressions for the guitar strings while meditating. When the composition was completed, it began to sound suitable for lyrics like this.

People have often heard talk about the passing of the sands of life, and the theme of the song reflects this. It feels like in today’s world, perhaps even more people are trying to fight aging and gain more years of life at any cost, but the grim reaper will find even the best escapees.”

The band’s activities took a break in 1989, until it was reactivated in 1999. The current line-up took shape when guitarist Tom Heskell joined in 2019 and drummer Herra Koivuniemi in 2023.

The band released their first album of their long career, which was named Ifandia, self-published for streaming in 2021. Albums 17 songs have been collected over the band’s long career.

HOG MEETS FROG Unveil New Single ‘The Urbanizer’, Ft. Marco Minnemann

Posted by tarjavirmakari on July 18, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: HOG MEETS FROG. Leave a comment

Austrian avant-funk-prog-metal trio Hog Meets Frog have dropped their most ferociously surreal single to date: “The Urbanizer” (You Know Where The Flowers Have Gone), featuring world-renowned drummer Marco Minnemann (The Aristocrats, Steven Wilson, Joe Satriani). The track arrives ahead of the band’s first-ever Canadian tour (dates listed below), which includes a performance at the Loud As Hell Open Air Festival in Drumheller, Alberta, on August 3rd.

Lyrically dystopian and musically unhinged, “The Urbanizer (You Know Where The Flowers Have Gone)” is a darkly groovy critique of ecological collapse and unchecked urban sprawl—told from the perspective of the “urbanizer” himself, a concrete deity paving over the planet.

The track’s artwork, created by Attila Zolt Tornyi (LaMañana), features a golden skull in a desolate concrete wasteland—symbolizing the “concrete gold” of speculative real estate and the sunless future it casts.

Bassist and band storyteller Peter ’PETZ’ Schwabl comments on the single:

“We have featured on the tune ‘The Urbanizer’ drummer Marco Minnemann (The Aristocrats, Steven Wilson, Joe Satriani), which is a great honour for us. A mutual friend brought us together – thanks, Alan!! The song’s main riff was written many years ago, and a few years later, the first four verses and thus the character of the urbanizer emerged. Over the years, however, it has become clear that society isn’t getting to grips with the issue; rather, the effects of human actions, which have been driving global warming for decades, are increasing in a lot of areas. Why? Well, some deny ecological changes out of fear, some out of greed, and still others just to show that they’re ‘against the system’ – whatever that means. Precisely because of the subject matter, the song is one of those that even we couldn’t make into a particularly funny song… but, hey! Let’s just say that HOG MEETS FROG also has a dark side.”

Listen to “The Urbanizer” (You Know Where The Flowers Have Gone) ft. Marco Minnemann is now on all major streaming platforms.

Spotify – https://open.spotify.com/track/2JBo93Ad2S7uD46tInWG8F

Performing in Canada for the first time, Hog Meets Frog is excited to be showcasing in Ottawa, Toronto, and Montreal, as well as performing at one of Canada’s loudest and most extreme metal gatherings, Loud As Hell Open Air Festival, which also includes Revocation, First Fragment, Insurrection, and Gorgatron.

“Don’t expect anything. Just experience it. You’ll see three guys throwing sounds around, sometimes wearing masks, telling stories. The rest forms in the head of the beholder,” adds Petz.

Hog Meets Frog – The Urbanizer Greening Tour 2025

July 26 – Schwarzach, Austria – Tauerngold Festival
July 30 – Ottawa, ON – Avant-Garde Bar
Aug 1 – Toronto, ON – The Rockpile
Aug 3 – Drumheller, AB – Loud As Hell Open Air Festival w/ REVOCATION, FIRST FRAGMENT, FILTH, INSURRECTION, GORGATRON, OPAL IN SKY, and more!
Aug 6 – Montreal, QC – Piranha Bar
Sept 6 – Schwaz, Austria – Woodlight Festival

About:
Formed after a “musical abstinence” by a copywriting drummer and a lyricist bassist “pregnant with a riff,” Hog Meets Frog was born from a story about a hog and a frog having… fun. Their sound? In their own words: “Freaky-fuckin’-SQUEAQUACK-music.”

The band’s writing process is as unpredictable as their music—riffs born on subways, lyrics conceived in showers, and stories inspired by overheard conversations, political absurdities, and the slow-motion collapse of the natural world.
