Mexico’s rising groove metal juggernaut Animal Rage has just unleashed their latest sonic assault, “Your Mouth Is Your Downfall”—a punishing anthem ripped straight from the heart of their upcoming full-length, Last Standing Man, arriving soon via Wormholedeath.
Built on groove-laden riffs, primal fury, and a warrior’s spirit, the track hits like a gauntlet thrown at the face of deception. This is a war cry for anyone who’s battled false promises, fake evolutions, and empty words. A brutal reminder: your words can be your weapon—or your ruin.
Forged in the chaos of 2020, Animal Rage emerged from Mexico with a genre-melding style they proudly dub “Fused Metal”—a high-voltage blend of groove, progressive, and heavy metal. Founders Dave Coral (guitar) and Abe Fënix (vocals) laid the groundwork, bringing in key collaborators including the legendary Aquiles Priester (W.A.S.P., Angra) on drums. In 2025, the lineup evolved with Amos Roux (guitar), Gabriel Richer (drums), and Abe Fenix (vocals), marking a bold new chapter for the band.
Texas-based rock band THE SPEAKER WARS, featuring legendary drummer Stan Lynch (formerly of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers) and acclaimed singer-songwriter Jon Christopher Davis — has released a brand-new lyric video for “When The Moon Cries Wolf,” one of the standout tracks from the band’s recently released self-titled debut album, out now via Frontiers Music Srl.
Blending heartfelt lyricism with a driving classic rock spirit, “When The Moon Cries Wolf” captures the band’s signature sound—equal parts seasoned craft and raw energy. The song began to take shape when Davis tossed out the evocative title during a writing session, and from that moment, the song had a life of its own.
Stan Lynch reflects on the track:
“‘When The Moon Cries Wolf’ is a rocker that had me goin’ from the moment JCD blurted out the title. It was a gas to record; it just kept getting stronger the more we played it. Jon sings the snot out of it, and once he had the vocal, the tune reminded me of Mad Dogs & Englishmen’s early records. It’s even better when we play it live.”
1. You Make Every Lie Come True 2. It Ain’t Easy 3. Taste Of Heaven 4. Never Ready To Go 5. The Forgiveness Tree 6. When The Moon Cries Wolf 7. Trader’s South 8. Leave Him 9. Sit With My Soul 10. I Wish You Peace
STAN LYNCH, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, long-time drummer and founding member of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, announces today the formation of THE SPEAKER WARS. After two decades of recording and touring multiple albums with The Heartbreakers, STAN moved to the other side of the recording console and shifted his focus to production and songwriting. Over the years, STAN has written and produced hits for artists in multiple genres, including the Eagles, Don Henley, Tim McGraw, The Mavericks, Ringo Starr, The Byrds, Toto, and The Fabulous Thunderbirds.
While writing in Nashville, a publisher introduced STAN to Texas singer-songwriter, Jon Christopher Davis, who was gathering material for a solo record on a major label. After accumulating an album’s worth of songs, Jon abandoned working on a solo record and the two decided to start a band to perform the newly created material. Adding Jay Michael Smith on guitar, Brian Patterson on bass, Steve Ritter on percussion, and Jay Brown on keyboards, THE SPEAKER WARS was born.

SOLACE premiere the track ‘Heavy Birth/2-Fisted (Distanced from Reality version)‘ as the next single taken from the expanded new edition of their debut album “Further” (2000), which the American stoner metal stalwarts release in celebration of its 25th anniversary.
The enhanced version of the classic “Further” has been scheduled for release on August 22, 2025 via Magnetic Eye Records and is available for pre-order here: http://lnk.spkr.media/solace-further
25 years, a quarter of a century, is a very long time in the life of any human being. And maybe even more so, in the lifespan of a recording of music. Yet “Further” by American stoner metal band SOLACE, first released at the turn of the millennium, has stood the test of time. Its tracks feel just as contemporary and relevant as in the year 2000.
A 25th anniversary is a great occasion for an enhanced, extended, and re-mastered edition of a timeless classic, but this much-deserved reissue was already decided upon when original SOLACE singer Jason L. sadly passed away in January 2025. This turns the new edition of “Further” into an unplanned but due tribute to his legacy and everything that Jason brought to the band during his formative years as their tortured and brilliant frontman.
SOLACE are celebrated veterans of the American metal scene. Hailing from Asbury Park, New Jersey at the windswept shore of the Western Atlantic, the band was founded in 1996. Built on a solid foundation of classic metal, early doom and punk ethic, the original four-piece infused a healthy dose of hardcore fury into grooving, grinding sludge.
Three years after the success of “Further” on both sides of the Atlantic, SOLACE returned with the sophomore album “13” (2003) that witnessed the Americans expanding and solidifying their style by highlighting the epic side of their songwriting. In the wake of this album, the band was invited twice to perform at the prestigious Roadburn Festival in 2006 and 2009, which further endeared them to an international audience.
Following a string of singles and EPs, the shoremen returned with the acclaimed third album “A.D.” in 2010. Although this release was again well received, a hiatus followed during which SOLACE implemented changes in their line-up. This manoeuvre got the heavy ship afloat again, and the remarkable full-length number four, “The Brink”, made landfall in 2019. This album has been described as a glorious trek through churning riffage, weighty doom power and drunken sea shanties, while the massive use of NWOBHM dual-guitar attack was also gladly noted.
SOLACE call their amalgamation of doom and heavy metal with hardcore elements dirt metal, while elsewhere it has been somewhat tongue-in-cheekily dubbed shorecore. Others file the New Jersey five-piece under stoner metal – and in truth, all these descriptions fit to an extent.
Raise a glass to Jason’s legacy and enjoy his outstanding performance on SOLACE‘s debut album “Further” that has been diligently and respectfully remastered to shine brighter than ever before!

Epictronic is proud to present the latest release from UK Brit-Pop provocateur SICKY, who today shares the lyric video for “Money For The News”, a razor-edged anthem taken from his forthcoming album Troubled Delight, out August 1st, 2025.
With biting lyricism and raw sonic swagger, “Money For The News” slices through the static of modern life. Fueled by disillusionment and bleak wit, the track paints a grim yet magnetic portrait of a media-fueled culture in decay. “No leaders, no truth — just money for the noise,” SICKY croons, backed by gritty instrumentation and a chorus that punches like a broadcast from a world on the brink.
A Black Country native now based in Shropshire, SICKY has been a consistent shape-shifter in the UK music scene. From the brass-laced indie pop of Papa Mantra to the stomping riffs of SUMO, he’s carved out a distinct, genre-blurring path. With Troubled Delight, SICKY delivers a riotous, emotionally-charged collection that draws equally from Britpop swagger, glam-rock theatrics, and punk honesty, capturing the chaos of modern life with twisted charm and infectious hooks.
Troubled Delight will be released soon under Epictronic Records. Stay tuned for more details, and follow SICKY on social media to stay in the loop.
Crafted over 2024–2025, “Too Late” is the latest release from Finnish Doom Metal band Wizards of Hazards’ upcoming catalog — a track that came together piece by piece, like a puzzle clicking into place.
And we let the Wizards themselves to tell about the song:
“It all started with a riff — originally played in reverse. But in Ville’s head, it kept flipping around. When we finally tried it the other way, everything suddenly made sense. The groove locked in, the energy clicked, and the song found its true shape.
The drums were recorded in full takes, capturing the raw feel of a live performance — we picked the best take, the one that had just the right momentum. Amir brought his signature laid-back style to the bass, composing much of the line on the spot in the studio, letting instinct lead the way.
Vocally, Ville and producer Sam nailed an intense drive that powers the whole track. Originally, the verses felt a bit cramped — until a breakthrough moment where the final line was lifted to the top of the next section. Suddenly, the lyrics had room to breathe, and the phrasing came alive.
And the final touch? A subtle effect on the intro riff with a volume drop — making the moment the full band kicks in hit like a cannon blast.
“Too Late” is a song that came to life through experimentation, intuition, and instinct — and we can’t wait for you to hear it.”
Song written and composed by Aarne Ylipiha, Ville Willman, Petri Pakarinen and Amir Bitar
WIZARDS OF HAZARDS are a traditional Doom Metal band from Middle Finland. Sharing the same interest for vintage instruments and heavy music composing. Their musical influences come from the recordings of the analog aeons, mostly 70’s and 80’s heavy metal, and their lyrics are inspired by bygone times, supernatural phenomenons and old tales & beliefs. After decades of jamming and performing as a trio, they shifted their shapes into a four piece and changed their name to WIZARDS OF HAZARDS.
