Elettra Storm has released a video for “Blue Phoenix”, first single taken from the new album “Evertale” to be released on October 24 by Scarlet Records.
One of the most aggressive track of the album that explodes in a powerful chorus and in epic guitar solos and leads, it’s a tale of revenge and rebirth: like the phoenix every man can rise from his own ashes. It doesn’t matter all the pain, the betrayals, the wounds that the world inflicts to you, you can always find a way to get your life back on track, if you are able to keep your inner flame alive, the spark at the core of your soul that gives you strength and purpose.

Elettra Storm took the power metal scene by… storm with the flawless 2024’s debut album “Powerlords”. Now they made a huge step forward, though, and the sound of “Evertale” is even more defined and cohesive.
Every band’s member had the chance to get the spotlight with his own style and personality, and the songs are more technical: some carry a proggy flavor, some other bring on the table the fury of speed power metal – but all of them are direct and catchy at the same time, with soaring melodies that will linger in the brain since the first spin and another stellar performance by charismatic frontwoman Crystal Emiliani.
Lyrically-wise, “Evertale” is a chest of wonders – like Micheal Ende’s “Neverending Story”, this record is a thrilling celebration of storytelling: each song tells its own story indeed, and the listener will find the drama of war, the desire for revenge, the journey of a hero, the mysteries of the ancient ones and much more.

RHYGOR is a band from Olsztyn, formed in the autumn of 2024 by Grzegorz (guitar), Michał (drums) and Olgierd (vocals). Their music is a real conglomerate, oscillating around broadly understood progressive music (Tool, Soen, Leprous) with groove metal in the style of Pantera and Lamb Of God, aggression of Slipknot and elements of post-metal.
After revealing the first musical foretaste (“Relics” single) of their debut release, the “Faded Relics” EP, it’s time for a new song!
At the turn of March and April 2025, the band recorded their first EP with three songs. When recording the material, the band worked with:
drums & guitars recorded by Michał Grabowski who is known from cooperation with such great bands as Christ Agony,Thy Worshiper and Towards Hellfire,
vocals recorded by Robert Wawro, who in the past cooperated with Asgaard and Exlibris.
All was mixed and mastered by Robert Wawro. The graphic design of the release and the logo design were entrusted to the famous graphic artist and musician Paweł “Miodek” Mioduchowski (Dopelord, Hydra, Taxi Caveman).
Band comments new single: “I’m Going Home is a story from the perspective of a mentally ill person who must grapple with fear, anxiety, and depression. From her perspective, a psychiatric hospital often becomes her second home, and her return to treatment becomes an allegory for returning home“.
LINE-UP:
Grzegorz Golański – guitar, bass Michał Młyński – drums Olgierd Gontarczyk – vocal
As their album nears release, Connecticut’s self-deprecating noise rock wrecking crew INTERCOURSE have released their latest single, ‘Cryptid Divorce Court’, taken from the forthcoming full-length, How I Fell In Love With The Void, out 12th September via Brutal Panda Records.
The track arrives alongside a biting lyric video, premiered exclusively via Metal Injection.
Following recent single ‘Another Song About The Sun’ (listen here), the new cut finds INTERCOURSE doubling down on their trademark blend of caustic noise, dark humour and raw emotional honesty.
INTERCOURSE vocalist Tarek Ahmed comments on the new single, ‘Cryptid Divorce Court’: “This was the last song I finished lyrics for on the album. It has the unfortunate honor of being the first break-up ‘woe is me with my broken heart’ song. I literally just wrote down what was on my mind and called it a day. Divorce isn’t as fun as TV makes it out to be.”
INTERCOURSE’s How I Fell In Love With The Void delivers ten searing new tracks that merge elements of metallic hardcore into an antagonistic foundation of corrosive noise rock. The album was recorded by ChrisTeti (The World Is A Beautiful Place And I Am No Longer Afraid To Die) at Silver Bullet Studios in Burlington, Connecticut. It was mastered by George Richter (Thy Will Be Done) and mixed by Chris Teti and Greg Thomas. The photograph on the album cover was shot by Sherilyn Furneaux (Portrayal Of Guilt) and features exotic dancer Clementine.“I have no life. I don’t fucking do anything else. I don’t have any hobbies. I don’t play video games. I don’t do fantasy football. I’m just obsessed with making music and writing.”
That’s INTERCOURSE vocalist Tarek Ahmed explaining how the acclaimed Connecticut noise rock band has averaged a release per year since forming in 2013. From their self-titled debut and 2018’s Everything’s Pornography When You’ve Got an Imagination to 2023’s Halo Castration Institute and last year’s Egyptian Democracy EP, INTERCOURSE have kicked against the pricks, power brokers and pissants who make America “great” while tempering their outlook with a self-deprecating look inward.
Which brings us to How I Fell in Love with the Void. Ahmed and his bandmates – guitarist Sean Prior, drummer Caleb Porter and bassist Pete Stroczkowski – spent more time and money on their fourth full-length than any of their previous releases. “Usually we record in a basement home studio, or they’re done super quickly,”Ahmed says. “This time, we figured it was a really good investment to book a full week of studio time and challenge ourselves to write better songs.”
In fact, Ahmed ended up rewriting his lyrics three times. “I f*cking wrote my ass off, and then I do this thing about two months out where I’m like, ‘Everything I wrote sucks, so I’m going to rewrite all the lyrics.’ Then a month before recording, my wife and I decided to split, so I tried to punch up the lyrics and make them funnier by throwing some divorce stuff in there. But I think I made it more depressing.”
Marital bliss aside, the lyrical themes on How I Fell in Love with the Void aren’t dissimilar from those on INTERCOURSE’s 2016 EP, Pissing Into the Abyss, which features a cover illustration of a woman fucking a giant insect while an alien watches. “On the new record, there’s definitely a lot of talking about the void and that emptiness that a lot of us try to fill with food, booze or sex,”Ahmed explains. “Pissing Into the Abyss was about being so comfortable with the void that you’ll just piss there. Unfortunately, I’m super acquainted with it. But once you realize that nothing will ever fill the void, it will no longer rule over you.”
Ultimately, How I Fell in Love with the Void is about being on the outside looking in. “We’re music for weirdos and freaks,” Ahmed says. “I grew up as the only Egyptian kid in a little white town. I’m an outsider, and we make music for outsiders. Every time we play a faraway place that we haven’t been to before, there’s always one person there that has followed us for years and is there specifically for us. They are always the weirdest person in the room, and I love that. Those are my people.”
INTERCOURSE formed in 2013 and have been annoying ever since. With the lofty (or pointless, depending on who you ask) goal of ditching the pretension of noise rock and fusing it with the immediacy of hardcore, they’ve managed a release a year since 2014. 2023’s Halo Castration Institute helped the band reach a new level of notoriety with positive reviews across the board. With the release of a last year’s EP Egyptian Democracy, and now How I Fell In Love With The Void the band is sure to become the high watermark for annoying adults who dress like they’re 17 and simply will not quit.
INTERCOURSE have played sold-out shows with the likes of Chat Pile, Deadguy, The Red Chord and The World is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die. The quartet have been featured on notable websites Decibel, Lambgoat, New Noise Magazine and were recently featured on The Needle Drop’s top 15 EPs of 2024.
How I Fell In Love With The Void will be released on LP with multiple limited variants as well as CD, MC, and digitally on 12th September. Watch the previously released videos for ‘The Ballad Of Max Wright’ video HERE and ‘Another Song About The Sun’ HERE.

On the heels of the excitementfrom the recent announcements of their upcoming eighth studio album and their Blackbird festival in Wales next summer, acclaimed rockers ALTER BRIDGE are releasing the first piece of music in over two years, “Silent Divide.”The track from the quartet, comprised of Myles Kennedy on vocals/guitars, Mark Tremonti on guitars/vocals, Brian Marshall on bass and Scott Phillips on drums, shows the band is back and ready to pick up where they left off in 2023. The brooding track begins with the signature guitar tones of Kennedy and Tremonti before the rhythm section of Marshall and Phillips join in. The chorus is powered by Kennedy’s haunting descent as he sings: “Keep your head down, ride out the silent divide.”
A music video for “Silent Divide” is also available today that the band has been teasing for days. A comedic opening skit was released of Tremonti, Marshall, and Phillips calling Kennedy’s mom to get the band back together as Myles hangs in his mom’s basement. That scene gives way to a performance of the four guys playing together in a small room – a throwback to the way it all started for them. The video was directed by JT Ibanez.
With more than two decades performing together, ALTER BRIDGE show no signs of slowing down. The new self-titled album from Napalm Records,Alter Bridge, is comprised of 12 all new tracks from the band and features some of their most iconic moments on record. Songs like “Rue The Day,”“Disregarded” and “Scales Are Falling” will fit alongside any of the classic songs from ALTER BRIDGE’s catalog. “Trust In Me” shows Myles and Mark sharing vocal duties as Myles handles the verse duties while Mark takes the chorus. That strategy is flipped on “Tested And Able” as Mark handles the verses and Myles takes on the choruses behind one of the band’s heaviest intros to date, giving way to an unforgettable melody. The album closer “Slave To Master” is an epic track that ALTER BRIDGE has come to be known for and is the longest song the quartet has recorded to date. The band worked with longtime collaborator and producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette on their eighth album. Alter Bridgewill be released on January 9, 2026.
Alter Bridge track listing: 1) Silent Divide (5:06) 2) Rue The Day (4:46) 3) Power Down (4:08) 4) Trust In Me (4:48) 5) Disregarded (3:55) 6) Tested And Able (4:36) 7) What Lies Within (5:07) 8) Hang By A Thread (4:11) 9) Scales Are Falling (5:54) 10) Playing Aces (4:05) 11) What Are You Waiting For (5:00) 12) Slave To Master (9:03)
To coincide with the announcement of the new album, ALTER BRIDGE will be touring in support of the release. The band is heading out on the What Lies Within Tour. The 31-date tour of Europe will kick off on January 15 in Germany before it wraps on March 5 in Nottingham, UK. About ALTER BRIDGE:
Back in 2004, four lifelong musicians got together down in Florida. Even though they had traveled separate paths, similar lessons learned, wisdom earned, and dues paid united these gentlemen—Myles Kennedy [vocals, guitar], Mark Tremonti [guitar, vocals], Brian Marshall [bass], and Scott Phillips [drums]—as ALTER BRIDGE. Over the ensuing two decades, the band endured countless trials and tribulations, defied every odd, and rose to the head of the pack as a hard rock juggernaut, cementing a singular legacy by selling out arenas, gathering nearly one billion streams, inciting international acclaim, and quietly attracting a diehard audience. Beginning with the Top 5 entry of 2004’s gold certified One Day Remains, the band have scored six consecutive Top 20 debuts on the Billboard 200. Among a myriad of highlights, Guitarist Magazine applauded “Blackbird” for the “Greatest Guitar Solo of All Time,” the ABIII single “Isolation” vaulted to #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart, 2013’s Fortress received rare perfect scores from KERRANG! and Total Guitar, and Walk The Sky shook the Top Rock Albums Chart at #1. Beyond packing O2 Arena and Royal Albert Hall, Classic Rock hailed 2022’s Pawns & Kings as “the Rolls-Royce of ALTER BRIDGE records” in a 4.5-out-of-5-star review. Plus, the latter LP garnered praise from American Songwriter, Guitar World, and Loudwire, while Billboard christened them “one of America’s premiere hard rock quartets.” Channeling the same hunger, the band continue to push themselves on their self-titled eighth full-length offering, Alter Bridge [Napalm Records]. It embodies everything they’re known for such as the precise riffs, towering hooks, and solos that practically break guitar strings as they burst through the clouds.
