MROME Unleash Video for Single ‘Aristocrat’ from Upcoming “Boneyard Twist” Album

MROME was formed in 1995 by four elements joined in the frenzy of youth under the name Kingdom. They wanted to go there, from where others wish to run. The band recorded several demos and in 2001 their debut album “Transition“, the soundtrack to artless rebellion, disillusionment and naive satanism, which was never released. The band disbanded a year later. In 2009, vocalist, guitarist and lyricist Key V decided to continue as MROME. Soon after the original drummer P. and bass player LV’s joined the lineup. In 2024 bass player left and the new vocalist/lyricist aT joined.

As they say: „MROME is entirely a studio project focused on creative process and concepts behind the music, lyrics and graphics. We are not a touring band. We are not interested in promoting the band by lame photo sessions and social media. We reap the harvest on scorched soil“.

After resuming their activity, the band has released 3 albums so far:

  • “Noetic Collision on the Roof of Hell” (2018, EEE recordings, USA) contains a strong anti-religious message as a reference to the lagacy of Kingdom,
  • “Leech Ghetto” (2019, NRA, PL) is lyrically concerned more about prophetic content as greed, war and isolation.
  • “Barbaric Values” (2022, NRA, PL) is a concept album based upon the moral and ethical conflict between socially imposed conditions and primordial nature of man.

Now, MROME is preparing for relasing new album titled “Boneyard Twist“.

It consist of 9 raw tracks recorded live in studio are a kind of return to dark roots of the band from the mid 90’s. The music inspired by the first wave black metal is complemented by unpleasant lyrics dealing with grave residents, history, disabilities of body and mind, necromancy and …monks exploding!

The music was recorded in a one-day session on November 18, 2023 at Heaven’s Sound Studio under the ear of Marcin Piekło, who also worked out the final sound of the album. Vocals were recorded in February 2024 at Piekłoniebo. The author of the painting used on the front cover is Mateusz Gawęda, but all was designed by Ataman Tolovy. Album “Boneyard Twist” will be released on June 23, 2025 digitally and on tape by NRA. NRA is part of the collective gathering around the Rusty Nails Museum, which is a co-op of spiritually disabled people associated with Piekłoniebo. Pre-order is available on Bandcamp.

Video for the single “Aristocrat” was done from the garbage of history by Ataman Tolovy (Genius Ultor, ex-Stillborn).

Disciples of Verity, fronted by the iconic singer Corey Glover of Living Colour, have dropped their new single, “Break the Cycle,” via TLG | ZOID, with distribution by Virgin Music Group.

The track is the latest preview from their highly anticipated sophomore album, NEXUS, produced by George Pond and co-produced by Sahaj Ticotin (RA). Alongside the single, the band has released a lyric video that visually amplifies the song’s message.

Corey Pierce states, “We all face constant struggle every day and everyone seems to feel overwhelmed by many things that are happening from maintaining work, friends and family as well as the strain of politics and ever changing cultural issues. We all need to band together in order to break this cycle and move forward to a better day.”

“Break The Cycle” is now available on all major streaming platforms, and the accompanying lyric video can be viewed on the band’s official YouTube channel.

Fueled by an insatiable urge to create and collaborate, this heavy metal incarnation seeks to challenge all that they believe to be true with their project, Disciples of Verity (DOV). The band features heavy-hitters such as Corey Glover (Living Colour), Corey Pierce (God Forbid), George Pond (Negative Sky, Swim The Current), Mark Monjoy (Sekond Skyn), and Zack Miranowic (Sekond Skyn, Riversend). This all-star band unleashes an onslaught to the senses with a new sound that can only be described as “a new breed of crossover Metal.”

The band formed just over four years ago after mutual projects brought the five members together. With Pond as the common denominator, having played with each of these artists throughout his career, his songs with Corey Glover were quickly embraced by the others, which evolved into their debut album, Pragmatic Sanction.

Over the next eight months, DOV feverishly cranked out eight heavy, hook-laden songs with one distinct element—their infectious, melodic grooves. Ranging from Hardcore, Metalcore and even Active Rock, the band knew that their debut would be like nothing else in the industry and brought in a veritable “who’s who” of the hard rock and metal industry to up the ante.

Four years have passed since the release of their first single from Pragmatic Sanction. However, now comes the dawn of a new age. They have been quietly working on 12 new tracks for their sophomore album titled NEXUS. The band worked with producer Sahaj Ticcotin, who has worked with Starset, Motley Crue, RA, Bad Wolves, and many more. This monster of a record is set to be released in 2025 through TLG/ZOID, and distributed through Virgin Music Group.

Corey Glover (Living Colour) – Vocals
Corey Pierce (God Forbid) – Drums
George Pond (Swim The Current, Negative Sky)- Bass

FALLUJAH Release New Album “Xenotaph” with Full-Album Lyric Visualizer

Posted by tarjavirmakari on June 16, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: FALLUJAH. Leave a comment

Progressive death metal masters FALLUJAH have released their highly-anticipated new album, Xenotaph, today with Nuclear Blast Records. Critically revered from the outset, Xenotaph is a cataclysmic composition of highly evolved, profound metal immersed in an epic, otherworldly futuristic saga.

Vocalist Kyle Schaefer has said of the new album:
“We are excited to finally reveal Fallujah’s new album Xenotaph, marking the sixth chapter in our discography. This is our most ambitious record yet, and is certainly the band’s most technical, dynamic and progressive material to date. The music carried out by these eight tracks is matched with an equally ambitious concept, a lyrical story that traverses unfolding layers of time and reality in an otherworldly, post-death realm of existence.
Xenotaph is also our most collaborative album, with broad input from the current lineup leading us to expand the scope of our songwriting while simultaneously highlighting the true potential of everyone involved. We hope you’ll join us in welcoming this bold new stage of the band’s evolution.”

Today, FALLUJAH presents a lyric visualizer for the full album that can be viewed here:

About FALLUJAH:

Prog death-metal outfit FALLUJAH expand horizons and solidify their position as one of America’s most exciting acts on their new album, Xenotaph, through Nuclear Blast. The quintet’s confidence in the lineup that made their previous album, Empyrean (2022), such a resounding success—earning high marks from Metal Injection, New Noise, and Guitar World—has been reconfigured slightly, with guitarist Sam Mooradian (INHALE EXISTENCE, SAM MOORADIAN) and drummer Kevin Alexander (DISEMBODIED TYRANT, BROUGHT BY PAIN) bringing their jaw-dropping musical proficiency to the fold, as vocalist Kyle Schaefer, guitarist Scott Carstairs, and bassist Evan Brewer enter a new chapter with FALLUJAH. Moored by singles ‘Kaleidoscopic Waves,’ ‘Labyrinth of Stone,’ and ‘Step Through the Portal and Breathe,’ Xenotaph is FALLUJAH personified, reinvigorated, and re-imagined.

Xenotaph was produced by FALLUJAH, engineered by Dave Otero (CATTLE DECAPITATION, ARCHSPIRE) and Mike Low (VITRIOL, ABORTED) at Flatline Audio in Denver, Colorado and Top Track Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. Otero also mixed and mastered Xenotaph. The main goal was elevation, building upon yet soaring upward from Empyrean, one of the group’s strongest productions to date. The team focused the separation of FALLUJAH’s breakneck pace, meticulous songcraft, euphonious leads, and unrivaled intensity, creating an experience pulls the listener into Xenotaph’s high-caliber music and concept.

Beyond releasing Xenotaph to an anticipating fanbase, FALLUJAH take aim at the road, drawing upon the success of their Empyrean runs. Indeed, attendees to the group’s live performances have witnessed some of Xenotaph’s songs already, namely the shimmery prog-bounce and inner world horror of ‘The Obsidian Architect.’ FALLUJAH are in a perpetual state of evolution, and Xenotaph demonstrates the group’s hard-won, if profound journey. For there is no reverse—only forward progress, and the path ahead is illuminating before them.

SEXAGISMA – From The Batcave with Love, Plus Glitter, Eyeshadow + Vertiginous Platform Boots

Posted by tarjavirmakari on June 16, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: SEXAGISMA. Leave a comment

Self-styled Glam Rock extremists Sexagisma might not have set the world afire during their early-mid 1980s heyday.  But forty years on, it’s hard to think of any group from that era who burned so brightly and so briefly and did it all so far below the radar that even they’d forgotten quite how brilliant they were.

Time heals, however, and history’s mistakes are there to be learned from.  Either that, or we’re missing David Bowie, The Sweet and the Sex Pistols a lot more than we realized. Those were probably the south-east London quintet’s greatest influences, together with a misspent youth watching Alice Cooper stage shows, and such a grotesque sense of humor that even the Batcave laughed at their jokes.

From The Batcave 1981-1985 is the first ever release for Sexagisma’s story, a 19 song digest that traces them from stage to studio, via raw rehearsals, home-made demos, while also demonstrating that the clutch of covers that were their crowd-thrilling encores – “Hang Onto Yourself,” “Cracked Actor” and “Jean Genie” (Bowie), “Blockbuster” and “Hellraiser” (the Sweet), “School’s Out” (Alice Cooper) – were only one of the costumes that Sexagisma wore.

VIDEO (“Monster Fun”): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCXChD7emP4

VIDEO (“Glitter Devils”): https://youtu.be/gcGDI4Esv_Q

In frontman Vaughan Funnel, they also boasted a songwriter who was as comfortable crunching through a brain-crushing glam stomp (“Monster Fun,” “Glitter Devils”) as he was rewiring George Orwell’s 1984 (via Bowie’s Diamond Dogs, of course) for the seriously thoughtful “Zero Time”; who sang of “Creeps On The Street” and the “Rocket City Gang,” while living out a stage show that was as dangerous as Dali, and as wicked as Warhol.

Yes, think Trash or Flesh reshot as rock’n’roll; think the Velvets if they’d been outfitted by Westwood; think the Pistols if Johnny Rotten’s audition had been “Dead Babies” instead of “School’s Out.”

And then put it onstage in a quiet London pizza place.

Several of the songs, Funnell recalls, “were dropped from our set in favor of faster more energetic stuff.  ‘Zero Time,’ in particular, I now see as an essential song in our catalogue, as it shows another side to the band’s sound. The same thing for the overlooked ‘Space Ranger.’  It was anthemic, but it was always getting dropped.

“With the release of this album, I can see these songs from a different perspective, other than the onstage energy of performing them live.”

Available today in vivacious pink vinyl as well as the bonus track stacked CD, with lengthy liners , photos and memorabilia, From The Batcave 1981-1985 also includes the band’s one release from their actual lifetime, the deliciously evocative “Freaks Graveyard,” taken from the now impossible-to-find Sing As We Go various artists album.

As for the future, Sexagisma might have forgotten themselves for the last 40 years, but that might not be the case for much longer.  As Funnel puts it, “Right at this time I’m willing to try anything thrice. The release of the album has definitely revitalized my interest in making music, and the same goes for other band members and associates.”

He pauses.  “Anything’s possible at this stage.”  And we remember the last time he said something like that. The day the band turned up at a London club gig, bearing with them a life size crucifix.  They were considering crucifying their dancer.

Wisconsin-based band ARCHERS is making serious waves. Formed in 2015 by Ben Koehler (guitar) and Nathanael Pulley (vocals), ARCHERS quickly became known for their raw mix of metalcore and pop-rock, tackling everything from mental health to relationships with a brutally honest edge. With Oscar Porter (bass) and Grayson Mesarosh (drums) rounding out the lineup, the band’s sound has only gotten sharper.

2020’s New Normal EP was a game-changer, with its powerful blend of heavy riffs and introspective lyrics drawing comparisons to bands like Dayseeker and Sleep Token. Singles like “Bitter” and “Say This Sober” showcase their ability to balance vulnerability with intensity, earning them a fiercely dedicated fanbase. ARCHERS’ music is a journey of strength and catharsis, turning life’s darkest moments into anthems of resilience.
