Hard rock legends NIGHT RANGER are proud to announce their new ‘Best Of’ album, set for release on August 28th via Frontiers Music Srl. The album features newly remixed & remastered versions of classic hits spanning NIGHT RANGER’s illustrious career, alongside some standout tracks from the band’s more recent releases.

To give fans a taste of what’s to come, the band shares a fresh remaster of their 1982 hit, “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me (2026).” The track arrives alongside an official visualizer video, link below. This album will be released on both CD and Vinyl. The double LP is available in 3 different colors, black, gold, & orange splatter.

“The new “best of” is a celebration of not only our classic hits but also what we’ve created over the last 20 years. And we’re just gonna keep cranking it cause we’re having too much fun to stop! So enjoy the ride and see ya on the road!” – Jack Blades

Few bands have defined the sound of American melodic rock quite like NIGHT RANGER. From the soaring anthem of “Sister Christian” to the thunderous riffs of “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me”, and fan favorites like “You Can Still) Rock in America” this album’s ‘Best Of’ collection captures the very essence of their decades-long career — now refreshed for 2026.

Featuring the classic hits alongside and standout tracks from their more recent albums, this compilation spans the full spectrum of NIGHT RANGER’s signature sound: anthemic choruses, blazing guitar solos, and unforgettable melodies. Highlights include the power-pop perfection of “(You Can Still) Rock in America,” the heartfelt balladry of “When You Close Your Eyes,” and the cinematic sweep of “Four in the Morning.”

But the ‘Best Of’ is not just a look back. It also celebrates the band’s creative output over the last 20 years, spotlighting tracks like “Time of Our Lives,” “High Road,” “No Time to Lose,” “Somehow Someway,” and “Truth,” proving that NIGHT RANGER’s energy, songwriting, and musicianship have only grown stronger with time. These songs show that the band continues to innovate while staying true to the melodic rock roots that made them legendary.

The band — Jack Blades (bass and vocals), Kelly Keagy (drums and vocals), Brad Gillis (guitars), Eric Levy (keyboards), and Keri Kelli (guitars) — delivers every track with the energy and precision that have kept NIGHT RANGER at the forefront of rock for more than four decades.

This ‘Best Of” album also features two bonus tracks that make this collection of songs truly special: a fresh take on “Wasted Time” recorded live off the floor at Sweetwater Studios, also accompanied by an exclusive music video, and a festive live performance of “Feliz Navidad” that showcases the band’s playful side.

Perfectly timed ahead of their summer 2026 tour, this ‘Best Of’ album serves as both a definitive introduction for new fans and a must-have collection for longtime followers. Whether revisiting the classics or discovering the new 2026 remasters, NIGHT RANGER’s ‘Best Of’ is a celebration of enduring melodies, electrifying performances, and the unforgettable spirit of one of rock’s most iconic bands.

UNTITLED WITH DRUMS Sign to Season of Mist + Share New Single ‘Matter’

Season of Mist is proud to welcome Untitled With Drums.

To celebrate their signing, Untitled With Drums are releasing a new single. “Matter” pushes the band’s hybrid of alt. rock and ‘90s post-hardcore to greater heights. The song speaks to the almost irrepressible need to exist for oneself, to put oneself above everything else and dominate one’s own world. It calls out a reflexive tendency toward conflict and the relentless pursuit of superiority over others, as seen through a pathologically self-centered point of view—a satirical account of feelings we must each confront and tame within ourselves.

No strangers to the specialist press or the festival circuit, Untitled With Drums have been together since 2014. The band released their debut album Hollow in 2020, just days before France’s first COVID lockdown. Despite the timing, the record drew widespread praise before propelling the band to the stages of Hellfest 2022, the Nuits de Fourviere festival (opening for the Deftones and Baroness), and London’s Desertfest. Their signing to Season of Mist marks the next chapter for a band that has spent the intervening years consolidating around their current four-piece lineup and sharpening everything that makes them distinct.

TELEPATHY Reveal New Cover Single ‘Breathe In Chaos (Telepathy Remix)’

Post metal quartet Telepathy release their interpretation of Noiseboy‘s ‘To Breathe in Chaos’ today. It’s part of their upcoming EP Transmissions 2.0 out 12th June focusing on remixes and covers – a reworking of the band’s lauded 2025 album Transmissions (Pelagic Records).

In the recording process of their new EP they exchanged songs with industrial/noise artist Noiseboy, who reworked Telepathy‘s ‘Knife Edge Effect’, while Telepathy showcase today their interpretation of ‘Breathe in Chaos’.

Telepathy comment:
“Transmissions 2.0 was born from a single premise: What would happen, if we applied the institution of remix culture found in electronic music to the instrumental rock world? With Transmissions we added a heap of synthesisers, cinematic and electronic textures to our sound – so when approaching this EP, it felt natural to give some tracks to artists that could expand on this part of our sound. Rather than basic remixes the artists were invited to reconstruct the tracks entirely.”

PYREXIA to Reissue Debut Full-Length “Sermon of Mockery” on June 19th

“Sermon of Mockery”, the landmark debut full-length from PYREXIA, is set to return on June 19th through Time To Kill Records in cooperation with Gravitas Ent. The reissue will be available in CD, LP and MC formats worldwide, excluding the North American market.

Originally released in 1993, “Sermon of Mockery” rapidly established itself as one of the defining statements of early brutal death metal, helping shape the identity of the New York scene through its overwhelming combination of crushing groove, suffocating heaviness and savage rhythmic precision. At a time when death metal was mutating into increasingly extreme forms, PYREXIA forged a sound that was both technically punishing and deeply rooted in raw underground aggression, laying the groundwork for countless bands that followed.

More than three decades later, the album remains a towering monument to brutality, retaining the oppressive atmosphere and relentless intensity that made it an instant cult classic among devotees of the genre. From its asphyxiating riffs to its unmistakable rhythmic swing, “Sermon of Mockery” still embodies the essence of uncompromising East Coast death metal in its purest form.

This new edition pays tribute to one of the genre’s most influential and enduring releases, bringing a timeless extreme metal classic back into circulation for longtime followers and new generations alike.

A new lyric video for the title-track is available HERE.

Tracklist:

1. Sermon of Mockery
2. Resurrection
3. Abominat
4. The Uncreation
5. God
6. Demigod
7. Inhumanity
8. Liturgy of Impurity

THE XCERTS Share New Single ‘Rinse Repeat’ with Visualizer

📸: Sam Carter

THE XCERTS share “rinse repeat,” the latest single from their forthcoming sixth album ‘i think i want to go home now.,’ out on July 10th via FLG.

The track is, by the band’s own admission, something of a first: a song that deliberately references their own back catalogue. Drawing a direct line to “crisis in the slow lane” from their 2009 debut ‘In The Cold Wind We Smile,’ “rinse repeat” revisits familiar emotional territory, cancer, heartbreak, helplessness, but refracted through the experience of adulthood and the weight that comes with it.

Speaking about the track, vocalist and guitarist Murray Macleod says:

“This might be the first time we’ve self-referenced our own material. There are a lot of parallels between our first record and this record, with the heartbreak of a relationship deteriorating and the loss of a parent. We wanted this song to be reminiscent of ‘crisis in the slow lane’ but from the perspective of adulthood. Sadly cancer was all too prominent in our lives during the writing and recording of this record, and this song is very much about my father’s diagnosis at the tail end of 2022 and the helplessness of it all. I also tend to merge different scenes in verses and tie them together with choruses, so verse 2 is also about hopelessness, but in regards to my then partner’s struggles.”

It is another unflinching entry in an album that has consistently refused to look away. Where “pretty ugly” arrived as a fuzzed-out blast of anger and “in your eyes” built toward something sweeping and quietly devastating, “rinse repeat” sits somewhere between the two: purposeful, direct, and rooted in the same collaborative instinct that has defined the making of ‘i think i want to go home now.’ throughout.

The album was written by all three members together in a room, something the band had not done since their early records, and that process is audible throughout. Recorded by Larry Hibbitt at Beehive Studios, its ten songs document two years of genuine turbulence, including the passing of bassist Jordan Smith‘s mother and Macleod‘s father’s cancer diagnosis, processed in real time and in company.

‘i think i want to go home now.’ arrives July 10th via FLG.

Finnish Atmospheric Progressive Metallers ALASE Release New Single ‘On Hold / Hold On’

Atmospheric progressive metal band Alase has released a new single ‘On Hold / Hold On’. The band continues to co-operate with guest vocalists and this time there are two of them. Juha Tretjakov, one of the band’s trusted guest vocalists, handles the clean vocals. Aggressive screaming vocals are performed by Ville Saloranta, who ten years ago sang clean vocals on song “On jatkettava”.

On Hold / Hold On takes Alase to even more modern metal style with lots of atmospheric synths and post production elements. Also the band instruments have taken more djenty form this time and on one section the guitars go very low in tuning. So the band likes to experiment and not to get stuck in one style and sound too much. The lyrics encourage to hold on even though the life feels like it is on hold.

Guitarist Janne Lunnas comments On Hold / Hold On:

“Even though it may seem that Alase has been on hold, we are cooking new music all the time and we release it as often as it is possible due to our schedules. We were able to get On Hold / Hold On finished pretty quickly once we had suitable moment to really focus on it. I think we were able to create something different for us even though you can still hear that it is Alase. It was awesome to work with Juha and Ville as both of the guys have been around in Alase’s story for a long time. Also you can trust that the vocals will have a superb quality.”
