KATAKLYSM Release Visualizer for New Single ‘The Rabbit Hole’

For almost three decades, the US/French Canadian-based melodic death metal syndicate KATAKLYSM, has delivered unapologetic waves of powerful sound across the entire globe. Today, the band offer fans a new track entitled, ‘The Rabbit Hole‘.

With a brutal honesty and relentless force, it rips through the illusion of control and dares listeners to wake up, fight back, and resist. A soundtrack for the disillusioned—unapologetic and unrelenting. The song featuresClemens Wijers (CARACH ANGREN) who curated the tracks ambient sound effects and synth section.

KATAKLYSM‘S Maurizio Iacono states,  “‘The Rabbit hole’ is the bands first stand alone single since the bands classic ‘Iron will’ track. As the world spins out of control and people search for purpose and truth, we felt questioning these things is something important to do, theres a lot of noise and lots of distortion these days, but always  trust your gut and what is right vs what is forced fed, so why not put these thoughts to music, so while we wait for the next record, we decided to drop this heavy hitter, spread it an enjoy!”

The single was recorded earlier this year at JFD Studios in Dallas, TX and Studio City, CA as well as The Cabin in Orlando, FL and Silver Black Studio, Laval, QC, Canada. ‘The Rabbit Hole‘ was produced, mixed, and mastered by the band’s very own J-F Dagenais.

MALEVOLENCE Release Video for New Single ‘Salt The Wound’

Steel City Kings MALEVOLENCE have released a new single from their massively anticipated new album, Where Only The Truth Is Spoken, which is set to be released on the 20th June via MLVLTD in partnership with Nuclear Blast Records.

Compared to the punishing previous singles, ‘Trenches‘ and ‘If It’s All The Same To You‘ the brand new release ‘Salt The Wound’ shows a more emotional side of MALEVOLENCE, but that only makes its incredibly heavy chorus stand out even more.

Alex Taylor (vocals) commented:
“‘Salt The Wound‘ is the product of us making a conscious decision to bridge the two faces of Malevolence. On one hand we have the heavy aggressive side, and on the other we have the slower melodic songs, so we wanted a song that could combine the two.
The video was entirely shot in Sheffield and the surrounding areas. From the industrial depths of Sheffield, a 900-year-old ruined Abbey, to a perfect sunrise over some of the incredible hills of Derbyshire, there is some incredible scenery in the north of the UK which we sometimes take for granted, so this song felt like the perfect opportunity to show case some of that.
From the moment I heard the guitar solo Josh had written for this song, I pictured him on a mountain top doing the solo, so we made it happen, Malev style!

THE DEVIL WEARS NADA’s Debut Album “Postalgia” Out Now

Swedish melodic rock band THE DEVIL WEARS NADA proudly announce the release of their highly anticipated debut album, ‘Postalgia’, out now via renowned U.S. hard rock label Eonian Records.

Order ‘Postalgia‘ here.

Fusing 80s melodic rock nostalgia with eerie theatrical flair, Postalgia is a dynamic debut that channels the golden age of AOR with a bold, modern twist. Bursting with high-octane anthems, haunting melodies, and storytelling drenched in theatrical drama, the album draws clear influence from icons such as Alice Cooper, Ghost, and Lordi – while carving a distinct sound of its own.

“Postalgia began as my escape during the pandemic—an outlet when the world felt upside down,” shares drummer and founding member Ludvig Alfvén. “It took two years, 23 demos, and a whole lot of trial and error before we landed on the final version. This record is the heartbeat of who we are.”

THE SOUND: NOSTALGIA REDEFINED
Hailing from Falköping, Sweden, THE DEVIL WEARS NADA merges the arena-ready melodies of Scandinavian AOR with a love for horror aesthetics and vintage hard rock energy. The result is a nostalgic yet fresh soundscape that recalls acts like Da Vinci, FM, 220 Volt, and Alien.
Guitarist Henrik Westergren describes the band’s sound as “a melting pot of ‘70s and ‘80s influences paired with our shared obsession with eerie, theatrical storytelling.”
“It’s Ludvig’s songwriting sensibility mixed with our collective love for the bizarre and dramatic,” Henrik adds. “It creates something that’s both familiar and unsettling—in the best way possible.”

THE RECORDING PROCESS: CHAOS MEETS CHARISMA
Bassist/vocalist Fredrik Svensson Carlström, who also co-produced the album, recalls unconventional recording conditions that helped shape the album’s raw sonic edge: “Some of the biggest sounds were recorded in what could only be described as a grungy wasteland. But that rawness gave the album its punch.”
The album’s remastered edition – previously released in ultra-limited form under the name Adecence – now sees full-scale international release under THE DEVIL WEARS NADA, complete with two brand-new studio tracks, a cover of Nestor’s “1989,” and a deluxe booklet featuring exclusive artwork and liner notes.

SIGNING WITH EONIAN RECORDS
Partnering with Eonian Records marked a major milestone for the band: “Ryan and Stephen at Eonian just got it from the start,” says Ludvig. “They understood the heart of this record and gave us a home where our vision could thrive.”
“They’ve crafted a sound that blends melodic rock and classic hard rock effortlessly,” says Ryan Northrop, Eonian Records. “Sharp, vibrant, and totally addictive – Postalgia is one of the standout hard rock albums of 2025.”
Stephen Craig, Eonian Records, adds: “The Devil Wears Nada are not only incredibly talented—they’re some of the most dedicated and down-to-earth artists we’ve ever worked with. Big things are coming from this band.”

THE DEVIL WEARS NADA will celebrate the release of Postalgia with a hometown show on May 30th in Sweden, followed by a support slot for acclaimed Swedish artist David Lindgren on July 25th in Karlsborg.
30th May, Falköping, Sweden
25th July, Karlsborg, Sweden supporting David Lindgren

The journey continues – album number two is already in the works. “We’re already deep into writing the next record,” Ludvig teases. “Studio time is booked for this summer. This is just the beginning.”

Finnish Turku-based melodic death metal band Frostbite Terror is set to release new EP later in 2025. The second single ‘Gehenna’ is out today and music video is available below.

LISTEN to Gehenna on streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/frostbite-terror-gehenna

  • Composed by Olli Kuure
  • Lyrics by Otso Turunen
  • ISRC: FI3FC2487606
  • Single cover by Mordiggian Art

“Massive sounds support furious blasting that won’t leave you cold. The greatest things in Finland, metal and sauna, are combined like never seen before. Listen to this tale of a sauna stove opening up a portal to hell and a face-off with the devil himself!

Gehenna is a kind of survival story from an afterparty where all food and drink is gone. This melodic piece with wall-of-sound guitars is then a good tune to warm up the sauna and enjoy the rest of the night, maybe even mosh listening to the riffs. While dreaming of a delivery of drinks the stove heats up to glowing hot and temperature rises above comfortable, representing hellfire. At that point what else can you do than take a thorough steam bath and relax.” – Olli Kuure / Composer

“Sometimes bathing in a sauna escalates to a hellish experience, so why not make a song out of that. Based on a true story (maybe with small embellishments). The song steamrolls forward like many Finnish heavy classics. That makes it a perfect backdrop for telling tall tales about how much heat we can take in the sauna.” – Otso Turunen / Lyricist

Frostbite Terror is a melodic death metal newcomer from Turku, Finland. Since 2022 Frostbite Terror has combined melodeath, thrashy riffing and symphonic arrangements. The songs subject both serious and comedic topics to dark humor. When playing live, Frostbite Terror conquers stages with their tight playing and spicy, yet melancholy riffs. Never turning down the chance to drin-, I mean gig, the band has toured backyard BBQ parties, Metallihelvetti summer party, Tampere community center and everything in between.

Line-up:
Olli Kuure / lead guitar
Otso Turunen / bass, vocals
Jerry Airikka / guitar, backing vocals
Kristo Rautavuori / drums
Sebastian Kavón / synths

BEHEADED Release Music Video for New Song ‘Il-Kittieb’ from Upcoming Studio Album

Posted by tarjavirmakari on May 24, 2025

Malta’s biggest death metal export, BEHEADED, reveals music video for the track “Il-Kittieb” – the first single off the band’s long-anticipated seventh studio album written entirely in Maltese, “Għadam”. Due out July 25th on Agonia Records, the record explores the island’s native folklore, beliefs and works of local horror author, Anton Grasso.

Watch the cinematic music video which perfectly encapsulates the album’s themes, directed by Raul Noise, here:

“Għadam” is an album that marks a significant evolution in the band’s journey making it the first death metal album ever written in Maltese, tying Maltese horror, literature and death metal into a cohesive concept. The album incorporates musical influences rooted in the island’s heritage, blending the band’s signature ferocity with elements of traditional religious and folklore music, creating a unique fusion that pays homage to the band’s cultural origins. With “Għadam,“BEHEADED not only pushes the boundaries of their sound but also cements their legacy as pioneers of Maltese death metal.

“Għadam” is based and inspired by the books of Maltese horror author Anton Grasso including the title itself. The work comprises nine songs that all use the title of a book by the author, which are then interpreted in a story, theme or subject different from what one finds in the book. It is also worth mentioning that on “Għadam,” one finds passages, phrases, subjects from classic works of local poetry, as well as excerpts taken from prayers and religious references.

The idea behind the choice for “Għadam” to be a work written entirely in Maltese is that it pays homage and explores the local cultural heritage in the context of everything related to horror, fear, superstitions, the occult, the macabre, folklore and how these exist hand in hand with faith and devotion.

BEHEADED comments: “Għadam, the band’s seventh album, is a dark narrative unfolding across the nocturne-esque Maltese landscape. It delves into the island’s folklore, where superstition and fervent religious devotion create a chilling atmosphere. This journey into the abyss is led by the authoritative voice of Anton Grasso’s works, the infamous Maltese horror writer, whose stories serve as a guiding light through the gloom. While retaining the essence of their signature sound, Beheaded infuses Għadam with the haunting sonorities of traditional religious harmonies and funeral marches, creating a sonic tapestry that is both brutal and profoundly unsettling.”

The album was recorded and mixed at MK2 Recording Studios (Italy) by Davide Billia (Antropofagus, Coffin Birth) with analog synth engineering done by Nicolò Brambilla at Echoes Studio (Italy) The song “Irmied” was recorded at Railway Studios (Malta) by Peter Borg and performed by Simone Brigo on a traditional hand made harp guitar courtesy of Josef Camilleri (Cross Guitar Work). “Għadam” was mastered by Wojtek Wiesławski at Hertz Studio (Poland). A photo shot by Raffaele Montepaone graces the cover artwork.
