JOHN BUSH Says: “ARMORED SAINT has a new record coming out in 2026”

Posted by tarjavirmakari on May 20, 2025

For Canada’s The Metal Voice former Anthrax Singer Neil Turbin spoke to Armored Saint/ Ex-Anthrax singer singer John Bush at the Rock for Ronnie 2025 concert on Sunday, May 18 at Autry Museum in Griffith Park  for Ronnie James Dio Stand Up & Shout Cancer Fund.

When asked about how busy Armored Saint has been touring in the last few years
“Well  we did a lot of work last year. We played the with WASP, we did that run twice and then we did some shows with Queensryche a couple years back. We’re doing some dates in Britain with WASP which is going to be amazing as we get to play at Hammersmith Odeon, which I’ve never done. It’ll be fun. And then we’re doing like 10 shows with Michael Schenker here on the West Coast into Texas and  then we’re putting a record (New Armored Saint) record out next year So new Saint record will come out next year.”

When asked if he is doing more shows today with Armored Saint then when he was in Anthrax
“Well I mean we did a lot. What happened was when I left Anthrax I also had a daughter and so it was like to me it was synergy for me to stay home and help raise my kid and and take a break from being on the road all the time and  and I welcome that.  And then after they grew up, now my daughter will be 21 this year my son’s 18 and they just don’t care if I’m around, I shouldn’t say that of course they do. But my daughter’s in college in Ohio . She came to the show when we played in  Columbus which was killer right and her and a bunch of friends that kept the crowd going. So it’s all fine  it’s better to tour now as they’re older and I didn’t miss a lot of their life and that was important to me.”

When asked about a poorly attended Dio show where Anthrax was on the bill at the Greek Theater in LA
” I was a very disappointing of the attendance of that show. It was Dio and Anthrax (on the bill) and it still was as poorly attended.  I say that candidly cuz I’m honest about stuff but it was disappointing cuz I love the Greek theater  as it is one of my favorite venues in the world. And I was like what the why is it empty this is ridiculous? ”

CHRIS CAFFERY Releases New Video ‘Then She’s Gone’ from Upcoming Album

CHRIS CAFFERY presents the official video for his new single ‘Then She’s Gone’. The song is taken from the upcoming album ‘20 Years Of The Music Man’ which will be released on 13 June on Metalville.

“Then She’s Gone” is an unreleased track Chris wrote around the time of the songs for Faces. “I’ve made mistakes in my life and I’ve made decisions that may have cut someone out of my life. These decisions can be ones you did purposely or things you did  personally that had them leave your life. As human being we make mistakes and as the songs say “I should have listened and learned” and some mistakes you can make again…Then she’s gone….”

The Savatage and TSO guitarist presents a very personal selection of 21 songs from his successful career, which has now spanned two decades.

The compilation includes songs from his previous solo albums as well as rare and unreleased tracks that Chris considers too important not to make available to the fans.

Chris says about his selection: “In 2004 I released my first solo record. I wasn’t sure what to expect I just knew I wanted to make some music on my own. It was a time when I had a lot of questions not only about myself but where certain parts of my life were heading. The “Music Man” in me decided to use my energy positively. I spent 20 years writing and recording and expressing myself to you. This new release contains some of your favorite songs as well as mine. There are also some unreleased songs and a brand new one as well.

I’d like to thank all of the amazing musicians, engineers and producers who participated on these recordings with me.

I dedicate this to all of you my friends, also to my mentor in heaven who believed in me from the earliest days of my career Mr. Paul O’Neill and a special dedication to my mom who remained my best friend and supporter through all of my roller
coaster rides these past couple decades.

Thank you all for being a part of my journey and I look forward to continuing the next 20 years and beyond!”

Estonian metalcore band PRIDIAN release their debut album Venetian Dark via Century Media Records. Following their 2023 Cybergnosis EP, the 12-track album blends groove-driven heaviness with cinematic textures and raw lyrical depth, exploring themes of trauma, mental health, and inner conflict. The band also drops a new video for “ Convoy,” a track capturing the crushing weight of past choices.

“Humanity has lost its connection with nature and itself. We exploit everything, driven by greed,” says vocalist Laur Lindmäe.

Venetian Dark is available now on CD and limited blue-black marbled vinyl.

Catch Pridian live at Mystic Festival, Hard Rock Laager, and their May 23 record release show in Tallinn.

Finnish symphonic progressive metal band Dominant Chain, formed in 2006, is set to release their debut EP ‘Wasteland Requiem’ later this year via Inverse Records. The first single ‘Kissed by This Life’ is released today and it’s available on all essential streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/dominant-chain-kissed

The band comments the single:
” “Kissed By This Life” is the first single release from Dominant Chain’s Wasteland Requiem EP. The track represents thematically and musically the core message of the EP, showcasing the band’s musical style at its best: Crushing riffs, progressive changes, and fast solos that culminate in catchy melodies and massive, symphonic choruses. The song’s lyrics explore the main character’s experiences with harsh interrogations in a dystopian dictatorship, where she wakes up tortured, unable to remember past events or who she is.”

Track list:

  1. Wasteland Requiem
  2. The Moment
  3. Tears of the Tyrant
  4. Dirt
  5. Kissed by This Life
  • Vocal recordings & engineering: Esa Uusimaa
  • Vocal production & Backing Growls in ”Kissed by This Life”: Mika Kankainen
  • Mixing: Toni Balk
  • Mastering: Janne Tolsa
  • Cover art: Antti Raatikainen
  • Logo: Juha Tretjakov
  • Kissed by This Life & The Moment vocals recorded in White Leaf Studio, Oulu.
  • Tears Of The Tyrant & Dirt lead vocals and all backing vocals recorded in Lemmenhotelli, Helsinki.

Dominant Chain, hailing from Northern Finland, plays progressive symphonic metal. Their music is not only about complex time signatures and technical skills, but massive, catchy choruses too, along with influences from various other music styles.

The band was originally formed in 2006 in Sonkajärvi, Northern Savo. The musicians have seasoned backgrounds in the professional musicianship. Their first official release, the EP Wasteland Requiem, consisting of five tracks, will be released in the summer of 2025.
