THE WARNING Release New Single + Video ‘Kerosene’

Ready to burn brighter than ever in 2026, the rock sister-trio from Monterrey, Mexico, The Warning ignite a brand new single entitled “Kerosene” out now via LAVA/Republic Records. Listen HERE, watch HERE and purchase a limited-edition 7” vinyl and merch collection HERE.

The group pulls no punches on this incendiary and infectious anthem. A hyper-charged drumbeat gallops beneath clever verses fueled by a gritty guitar riff. The momentum climaxes on a catchy and chantable chorus, “Strip down for me. I see right through you. Spit kerosene. You know you want to!” A spunky bassline drives an attitude laden bridge  as the band dismiss the copycats, “You rip my hair, my style, my jeans. I swear you copy everything.”

The music video for “Kerosene” follows the three sisters speeding through the desert in a stolen car, radiating confidence and defiance. It all builds to a chaotic junkyard scene where they rock out with flame throwers before setting the car on fire, turning it into a bold statement of power and rebellion.

The energy never relents, and “Kerosene” finds The Warning really firing on all cylinders.

It follows “Love To Be Loved”—the group’s genre-breaking collaboration with Carín León. Revolver applauded how, “the cut cross-references rock with country and pop flavors,” and Rock Sound attested, “Dany, Ale and Pau bring the rock and roll chaos, whilst Carín offers up melody and atmosphere by the boatload. The result is effortlessly catchy and will instantly be trapped between your ears.” Voted “Favorite New Latin Music of the Week” by fans, Billboard praised, “The song meshes country and rock backed by León’s and The Warning’s powerhouse harmonies.”  Melodic Magazine dubbed it “a song that would set their fanbases on fire.” Listen HERE, watch the music video HERE, and purchase a limited-edition 7” vinyl HERE.

The fuse is lit for a whole lot more to come from The Warning very soon.

In 2026, the band expands their global touring footprint as they hit the road performing at Lollapalooza and festivals across Latin America, and supporting Yungblud on the IDOLS World Tour in the UK & US later this year. The band will be headlining Pier 17 in NYC on June 11, get tickets here.

ABOUT THE WARNING:
The Warning draw strength and power from a lifetime of sisterhood and music. The Mexico-born sister trio—Daniela “Dany” [guitar, lead vocals, piano], Paulina “Pau” [drums, vocals, piano], and Alejandra “Ale” Villarreal [bass, piano, backing vocals]—have logged thousands of miles on the road, generated hundreds of millions of streams, and left countless fans in awe. All of this tireless work and dedication has shaped and sharpened their sound with knifepoint precision, arming alternative anthems with universally catchy hooks and an uncompromising hard rock kick. The girls have devoted themselves to a shared dream since their childhood in Monterrey, Mexico. They initially made waves with a string of independent releases, paving the way for their acclaimed 2022 full-length offering ERROR. Between performing alongside Muse, Foo Fighters, Guns N’ Roses, Royal Blood, The Pretty Reckless, Three Days Grace and Imagine Dragons, the band ignited MTV’s Extended Play Stage at the 2023 MTV VMAs. Representative of their cultural impact, Pepsi even notably chose them as the face of Pepsi Black in Mexico. Moreover, they emerged as the rare force who could comfortably appear on the cover of RockSound and Kerrang! and in features by Vanity Fair, People, Cosmopolitan, and Glamour as well as on Metallica’s star-studded Blacklist compilation—placing their cover of “Enter Sandman” [with Alessia Cara] shoulder-to-shoulder with contributions from Ghost, St. Vincent, Chris Stapleton, IDLES and Weezer. The Warning embraced their destiny on their 2024 full-length album, Keep Me Fed[LAVA/Republic Records]. The album was introduced by singles  “MORE,” “S!CK” “Hell You Call A Dream”, “Qué Más Quieres”,  “Automatic Sun”, and “Burnout”. In 2024 they continued their global impact with nominations and performances at the Latin GRAMMYs for “Best Rock Song” and MTV’s EMAs for “Push Artist.” The Warning was also nominated for “Push Performance” at MTV’s VMAs and performed on France’s Taratata.

Since 2018, NITE have proudly carried the torch for Bay Area metal, but the blackened heavy metal band are catching fire behind their white-hot new album. Cult of the Serpent Sun was named one of the best albums of 2025 by Decibel, New Noise, Invisible Oranges and other major publications, as well as Nate Garrett from Spirit Adrift. Bandcamp recently selected the album for the February edition of The Hard Stuff, a heavy metal record of the month club hosted by long-time metal writer J. Bennett. Now, the San Francisco natives are setting the skies ablaze once more by announcing their first-ever show in South America.

This September, NITE are bringing Cult of the Serpent Sun to Mexico during Candelabrum Metal Fest V. The band will perform the hit song “Crow (Fear the Night)” and other fist-pumping triumphs from their critically-acclaimed new album, plus other fan favorites from their discography.

When darkness engulfs the world, NITE sets the sky ablaze with white-hot, blackened heavy metal.

Having journeyed to the stars on their last venture, NITE now faces the abyssal and shadowy mythology that has long laid dormant beneath society. Each of the eight epic battles on Cult of the Serpent Sun tests their mettle. But amidst the album’s blackened perils, the band emerges victorious.

“NITE strives to be a light,” says vocalist and guitarist Van Labrakis. “Cult of the Serpent Sun is about how we persevere in times of immense darkness.”

Ever since banding together in 2018, NITE has carried the torch for Bay Area metal. Darkness Silence Mirror Flame debuted their blackened twist on NWOBHM. “…raucous, Marshall-fueled heavy metal that would be the envy of many a British band in the 1980s,” wrote Invisible Oranges. Follow-up Voices of the Kronian Moon upped the ante with more strutting tempos and windblown shredding, much to Stereogum’s delight. “It’s like speeding down a freeway at night in a Corvette with the top down, but everyone is wearing velvet capes.”

On Cult of the Serpent Sun, NITE wisely triples down on their trusty arsenal. Instead of scaling back, their third album adds more heft to the band’s armor. Labrakis and fellow guitarist Scott Hoffman’s molten leads duel with heightened showmanship. Drummer Patrick Crawford pummels and gallops while Avinash Mittur rattles the chest with his Rickenbacker bass. The title track charges with newfound urgency, slithery and venomous in its attack.

The album’s “more is more” philosophy is guided by what NITE have learned from the road. Since their last studio stint, the band have stormed the stage at Northwest Terror Fest, toured with fellow statesmen Persekutor and Haunt and marched across the Southwest on the road to Hell’s Heroes VI. “Fans really responded to older songs like ‘Acheron’ and ‘Genesis’,” Labrakis says. “Cult of the Serpent Sun has more songs that are fast and upbeat and help lift people’s spirits.” Galvanized by a foundation-shaking groove, “Skull” defiantly crushes. “Crow (Fear the Night)” is a rallying cry, calling for fists to rise with power and might.

NITE’s classic weaponry shows no signs of rust on their third album. “The Last Blade” draws first blood amidst an acoustic flurry before thrusting onto the offensive. “The aim here is not to replicate that era but to explore and evolve,” Labrakis told Decibel when asked about the band’s influences. Cult of the Serpent Sun honors the trailblazing spirits of old by honing what separates this band’s particular alchemy from mere imitation brew. “The Mystic” expands their sonic palette, featuring a slow-burning bass line that stretches time and space into a hypnotic portal. With its whirling and enchanted melody, “Tarmut” glimmers like a desert mirage.

“We play a traditional style of heavy metal, but the blackened element takes us in a different direction,” Labrakis says. His road-hardened voice stands resolute in “Carry On,” denouncing the perils of war. “Dream on and find who you are,” he beckons on the album’s triumphant closer “Winds of Sokar.”

On Cult of the Serpent Sun, NITE guards the altar of blackened heavy metal with sharpened blades and axes raised.

While symphonic Viking metal pioneers LEAVES’ EYES just kicked off their European and UK tour, today the band are celebrating the release of their brand new EP Song Of Darkness, that is out now on Reigning Phoenix Music!

Serving as a powerful foretaste of the band’s upcoming studio album, the critically-acclaimed four-track release once again showcases the signature sound that has defined LEAVES’ EYES for more than two decades: sweeping orchestral arrangements, Nordic mythological storytelling and the striking vocal interplay between the soaring soprano of Elina Siirala and the unmistakable growls of band founder Alexander Krull. Combining cinematic symphonic metal grandeur with Viking metal intensity, Song Of Darkness expands the band’s epic sonic universe while continuing their tradition of blending melody, heaviness and atmosphere.

Recorded at Mastersound Studio under the production of Alexander Krull, the EP captures LEAVES’ EYES at a moment of artistic strength, balancing sweeping symphonic arrangements with an earthy, human pulse. Lyrically, Song Of Darkness travels along the shifting borders between myth, magic, and history. The title track itself draws inspiration from the medieval Icelandic saga of Gisli the Outlaw, leading listeners into a world of murder, intrigue, guilt-ridden dreams, and the hope for redemption.

Each track on the Song Of Darkness EP unfolds like a chapter in a saga, cinematic in scale yet personal in emotion. Elina Siirala’s commanding performance brings the stories to life, illuminating the storm of sound around her, while Krull’s growls ground the music with raw force. Towering choirs and strings rise beside crushing riffs, with folk-inspired melodies weaving through the dark. From the orchestral grandeur of its opening moments to the final echo of its closing refrain, the EP builds an atmosphere defined by tension, release, and the timeless pull of legend.

With its mix of mythic storytelling, emotional depth, and powerful symphonic metal, Song Of Darkness showcases LEAVES’ EYES at full strength. The EP is now available via Reigning Phoenix Music, and in support, the band has just embarked on a series of European and UK dates with special guests Catalyst Crime, and many more shows in 2026 to follow. FROM ASHES REBORN themselves say about their new work:

“With this album, we challenged ourselves further than ever before—not only in terms of songwriting, but also in terms of production.
For the first time, we recorded, produced, and mixed the entire album ourselves, giving us complete creative control over every detail.
The result is a more mature, atmospheric, and cohesive sound that reflects our evolution as a studio-oriented project.
Musically, the album remains rooted in the Melodic Death Metal tradition we grew up with, but expands its emotional depth and dynamic range.
Thematically, ‘Chasing Utopia’ deals with shared truths, the search for meaning, and the tension between idealism and reality.

This album represents who we are in 2026:
focused, independent, and determined to create honest, melody-oriented extreme metal without compromise.”

RIKET Unleash New Music Video for ‘1948: Att döda ett barn’ from Upcoming Album

Posted by tarjavirmakari on March 8, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: RIKET. Leave a comment

Sweden’s relentless death metal unit RIKET has released a gripping new music video for “1948: Att döda ett barn”, taken from their forthcoming debut full-length album “2026”, set for release on April 10 via Black Lion Records.

Continuing their uncompromising exploration of Sweden’s darker historical chapters, RIKET once again transform collective memory into crushing death metal. With “1948: Att döda ett barn”, the band dives into a haunting cultural moment that left a deep scar on Swedish society.

The band shares insight into the meaning behind the track: “In 1948, Sweden faced a quiet crisis. Cars were getting faster. Speed limits didn’t exist. And traffic deaths were rising. So the National Society for Road Safety (NTF) made a radical choice: instead of advocating more rules, they turned to fear. They hired one of the darkest writers of the time, Stig Dagerman, and asked him to write a story that would make people slow down. What he delivered was ‘Att döda ett barn (To Kill a Child)’.

A short, devastating tale where a speeding car ends a child’s life. Cold. Inevitable. Unforgettable. The story was printed in a newpaper and later also broadcast as a short story on on national radio. The day after broadcast, many Swedes left their cars at home. Its impact was so strong it bordered on collective trauma. With ‘1948 – Att döda ett barn’, we revisit the story first published in 1948 and the short film that was made in 1953. This is our tribute to the power of storytelling and the effects it can have on the collective memory.
“

Tracklist:
01. 1868: Sommar vid Vinterviken
02. 1867: Storsvagåret
03. 1965: Höghus och kultur
04. 1948: Att döda ett barn
05. 1885: Dödsdansen (i månskensnatten)
06. 1897: Mot polen
07. 1991: 2000 år (Saliga äro de tålmodiga)
08. 1937: Lågor vid portarna
09. 2009: Alla ska i jorden (Stefan Sundström cover)

With “2026”, RIKET present nine relentless tracks, each one rooted in catastrophe, blunder and human downfall. The album stands as a fierce exploration of historical undercurrents, delivered with unfiltered aggression and unwavering conviction.

“2026” was recorded and produced by Sverker Widgren at Wing Studios. Haunting artwork crafted by Axel Torvenius. The album drops on April 10 via Black Lion Records and is available for pre-order here: Physical | Digital
