The Burbs are back — and they’re not holding back. The Bells Beach trio known for their grunge-tinged, pop-hooked intensity deliver a raw, gut-punch of a track with ‘There’s No Time For Presents.’ Recorded at Sing Sing Studios with producer Aaron Dobos, the song channels dark, confessional storytelling into a visceral acoustic landscape, punctuated by the eerie, knife-sharp percussion of a pocketknife slicing through paper.
Fuelled by muted guitars and a rhythm section that simmers beneath Brook Mckeon’s haunting vocal delivery, the track builds from a melancholic pulse to a climactic chorus. The lyrics cut deep, reflecting on moments of powerlessness and the weight of failing those we love. “What a nice weight to get off your chest / All it took was a pocketknife and a press” — it’s a line that lingers, haunting in its simplicity, devastating in its impact.
Following their explosive debut demo album Sunlight Spills Across The Swimming Pool and radio success with Ladder To The Moon and Skin and Bones, The Burbs are solidifying their place as one of Australia’s most electrifying new acts. ‘There’s No Time For Presents’ is out now — a blistering reminder that sometimes the rawest wounds leave the deepest marks.
The Burbs are an Australian rock trio from Bells Beach, Victoria, who have quickly become one of the most exciting new acts on the Australian music scene. Formed in 2016, the band comprises Danny Valitutti, Peri Brown, and Brook Mckeon. Known for their energetic live shows and dynamic sound, The Burbs have gained a reputation for their unique blend of pop melodies, grunge attitudes, and dark, reflective lyricism. Their music resonates with a rebellious spirit, embodying the essence of Australian rock.
With their growing popularity and critical acclaim, The Burbs are fast becoming ‘hot property’ in the Australian music scene. Their melodic sound and energetic performances have garnered them a dedicated and growing fanbase and increasing recognition nationally.

VADER released their 16th studio album “Solitude In Madness” on May 1st 2020 via Nuclear Blast.
The Dead Cowboys are set to release their debut album on Shotgun Records June 21st. Blazing out of the American heartland, The Dead Cowboys are the sonic outlaws redefining what it means to ride the line between heavy metal and country. With a signature sound they’ve dubbed “heavy western”, this band is a hard-hitting fusion of roaring guitars, outlaw swagger, and dust-kicking groove that feels like Motörhead riding through a ghost town at midnight.
Originally formed in 2005 by Bobby Jensen—a powerhouse performer with a voice as wild as the frontier—The Dead Cowboys started as a passion project blending Bobby’s deep love for classic country storytelling and the raw energy of metal. But when his other band, Hairball (a high-octane heavy metal tribute juggernaut), exploded onto the national scene, The Dead Cowboys were temporarily put out to pasture.
Fast forward two decades and a pandemic later, and Bobby felt the winds of change howling. With the world paused and the road calling once again, he knew it was time to saddle up and resurrect The Dead Cowboys. What began as a side project is now a full-throttle mission to deliver a new kind of American music—one that’s loud, unapologetic, and rooted in both rebellion and tradition.
Whether they’re melting faces with a double-time riff or haunting souls with a steel-laced ballad, The Dead Cowboys are kicking down genre walls and leaving a trail of dust and devil horns in their wake.
Upcoming Tour Dates: 6/21 Album Release Party at Route 47 Pub and Grub, Fridley MN 8/29 Le’musique Room, St Micheal MN 8/30 St Croix Casino Hertel, Hertel WI

You might already be familiar with Bobby Jensen, back on February 8, 2019 when he was a singer with the band Hairball Bobby was performing as Paul Stanley and had his hair catch fire during a pyro burst. Not many singers have ever experienced something like this.
Bobby was the singer in band Hairball. He was also the Starchild in KISS Tributes Strutter as well as the group KISS ARMY in the 90s and early 2000s. Touring North America with appearances on MTV as well as performing at KISS conventions.
Bobby has worked with Alice Cooper’s nonprofit “Solid Rock Teen Centers” for 12 years and built the show “Almost Cooper, The Alice Cooper Show” with assistance from Alice Cooper’s prop builders and costume team.
Bobby performed on the “Patriarchs in Black“ album with Johnny Kelly of Type-O- Negative / Quiet Riot, and Dan Lorenzo of Hades. He wrote and sang “Hallowed Be Her Name” and “Dead and Gone” with Dan Lorenzo for their “My Veneration” album.
Melodic hard rockers Laguna are excited to announce the release of their debut album, titled “The Ghost Of Katrina” and scheduled for July 11th, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.
Vocalist Andrés Espada described the new single by saying: “Ghost Behind The Mask” is a song with a dark aura. Exploring that insidious part of our minds that sows doubt and fuels insecurity, whispering criticism and messages of inadequacy. The song captures the internal struggle against those thoughts that tell us we’re not good enough, that we’re not worthy of love or success. It’s a reminder that often, the toughest battle we face is the one waged within our own minds”.
Drawing from the European and Scandinavian melodic hard rock scene, Laguna’s sound is an electrifying blend of powerful production, anthemic choruses, and in-your-face guitar riffs, with influences from the likes of One Desire, H.E.A.T., and other renowned acts from the scene.
The album, produced by Jimmy Westerlund (known for his work with One Desire and more recently Giant), perfectly captures Laguna’s high-energy and dynamic style, bringing to life a heavy yet melodic sound that’s both thrilling and emotionally charged. The songs feature strong hooks, vibrant instrumentation, and an intensity that reflects the band’s unrelenting passion for hard rock.
Formed in 2018 by a group of hard rock and heavy metal enthusiasts, Laguna’s sound is rooted in hard rock but with a distinctive modern twist. Their music is crafted to make listeners scream at the top of their lungs and throw their fists into the air – a perfect soundtrack for anyone who craves a high-octane, fist-pumping experience.
Laguna’s meteoric rise is a testament to their tireless dedication to their craft. Over the years, they have built a solid reputation in the North and Latin American rock circuits, performing at major festivals like Hell and Heaven Fest (one of Latin America’s biggest rock festivals) and the infamous KnotFest. The band has had the privilege of opening for iconic acts such as W.A.S.P., Timo Tolkki, and The Warning, further solidifying their place in the international rock scene.
Laguna’s music is a reflection of the barren desert from which they hail – a place where resilience and tenacity are born out of hardship. As guitarist José Mesta explains, “Long before it was a desert, it was a lagoon, but dried out thousands of years ago, leaving nothing but snakes and rats, yet deep down beneath the surface, water flows through the caverns of this great desert”. This metaphor speaks to the essence of Laguna – a band born from the depths of hardship, yet ready to rise with the power and energy that only hard rock can bring.
Laguna is set to make waves across the global rock scene. Their blend of melodic hooks, heavy riffs, and explosive energy will leave listeners craving more. This is only the beginning for Laguna, and they are poised to continue proving that Mexicans can indeed rock!

Playing with acts such as ELO, Elton John, Glen Campbell, Lee Aaron and John Waite, amongst a plethora of other platinum selling pop and rock icons not only makes you an in demand sideman, it also helps you develop your creative side. And, silly name aside, that’s exactly what the three members of THE SQUIRTS have capitalized on.
Formed while they were on tour as Rick Springfield’s backing band two decades ago, Matt Bissonette (Bass / lead vocals), George Bernhardt (Guitars, backing vocals) and Rodger Carter (Drums, percussion) aka THE SQUIRTS came to life as a way to burn up some creative energy – and wound up becoming Rick’s opening act before turning around and playing alongside the headliner himself.
Releasing two albums in short order – 2003 and 2005, respectively – they had intended to release a third album to round things off but life took them all in sorts of different directions.
Two decades later that third album, creatively titled, III surfaces on independent label F-Bomb Records, which is realizing it’s own resurrection of sorts, releasing it’s first string of new albums since 2006.
III sees THE SQUIRTS deliver ten tracks of bombastic, high energy no-holds-barred power pop nirvana as only they can.
