Finnish Viitasaari based melodic death/doom metal band Shadecrown is set to release their fourth studio album 0 on July 25th 2025 via Inverse Records.
The second single ‘Tear-Blind’ featuring Sheila Bernal on guest vocals and Vilma Peltokangas on Cello is released today and lyric video is available below.
The band comments single: “Tear-blind is the story of a man reaching the end of his life, wishing that his last days would not be filled with the sorrow and pain of his loved ones. His last wish is to try to enjoy the moments we share while he is still here.”
The Finnish Shadecrown is a versatile melodic death metal band founded in Viitasaari in 2012, whose melancholic melodies and lyrics tell stories about the dark side of life. The band has released three full-length albums so far: Agonia 2016, Riven 2019, Solitarian 2021. The fourth album 0 will be released in 2025.

From a smoky night in 2016 to a present more alive than ever
It all began in 2016, during a drunken, chaotic night when the idea of DeathPüL was born—not so much a project as a dare: “Let’s make noise and see what happens.”
In 2019, fate shifted gears thanks to Geppetto Di Pollo (drums), one of the founding members, who gathered a full lineup to bring bizarre and gritty originals to the stages of Pavia and beyond.
Then came COVID. The scene froze. Many gave up. But not DeathPüL. On the contrary—they responded with a self-produced EP and a wild, brilliant concept: GENESIS – the surreal story of a murdered chicken, sold to Satan Inc., reborn as a humanoid, and hunted by a vengeful butcher.
A delirious parable? Maybe. But also a biting reflection of modern anxieties: addiction, alienation, deceit, and the search for identity.
