Newly signed French alternative metal band ODC are thrilled to unveil their new single “Love, I Tore It Apart”, out now via BLKIIBLK.

With its polished production, dynamic structure, and vulnerable lyrics, this new single places ODC firmly in the new wave of genre-bending metal acts.

Commenting on the track, the band stated: “The track blends heavy, syncopated guitar riffs with electronic textures and powerful, emotional vocals – a bold and cinematic take on modern metal. It dives deep into themes of toxic love, identity loss, and emotional struggle, capturing the chaos of a relationship that slowly destroys from the inside”.

ODC is the soundtrack of a hybrid generation. A sonic uppercut, balancing raw power and elegance. It’s also the voice of a generation searching for meaning – standing at the crossroads of styles, cultures, and influences.

Born in Paris in 2017, ODC is the result of two worlds coming together: the world of Celia Do, a vocalist with a striking identity, and that of a composer driven by the same fire – the desire to create an alternative metal project that breaks free from conventions: bold, modern, and uncompromising. From this spark, a true sonic and visual odyssey emerged.

ODC – named after Celia’s stage name acronym – became a totally creative space, where heavy riffs, catchy melodies, and contemporary electronic textures collide in a unique blend of raw energy and polished aesthetic. ODC is a bold blend of metal, modern rock and immersive electronic atmospheres.

Inspired by artists such as Devin Townsend, Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park and BMTH, ODC doesn’t fit in any box. The band asserts its own voice — powerful, hybrid, sharp and emotional.
Their songs are modern mantras, telling stories of freedom, downfall, and resilience. Music that hits hard — and hits deep. A constant dialogue between introspection and explosion.

The band is built around four distinct artistic personalities: Celia Do (lead singer, founder and producer, the rock frontwoman of the band), Sonny, a.k.a. MX MNK (a bassist with roots in hardcore and black metal, and a trash rapper with visceral energy). Then, Raphaël (an 8-string guitarist blending classic rock, hard rock, and atmospheric textures), and Hector (a drummer forged in the death metal scene, delivering explosive rhythmic power).

After a well-received debut EP in 2019 (“Ending The Boredom”), ODC carved their path through a series of powerful singles between 2020 and 2023, asserting their hybrid identity and ability to break genre boundaries. In 2024, the project took a major leap forward: writing their first full-length album, produced in Nashville by Kellen McGregor (Memphis May Fire).

Line Up:
Celia Do – Vocals
MX MNK – Bass
Raphaël – Guitars
Hector – Drums

ART INFERNO Return with New Single ‘Faithful Of Caressing Horrors’

Italian cult symphonic black metallers ART INFERNO break a long silence with the release of their new single “Faithful Of Caressing Horrors.”

The song was recorded, mixed and mastered at the band’s own studio MonoGravity Studios. “Faithful Of Caressing Horrors” is a deep and introspective excursus on the shaky boundary which seemingly separates Good and Evil. That thin and often almost indecipherable line often opens the door to nefarious scenarios and confronts us with the demons of fear, in a continuous oscillation between order and chaos, death and creation.

Musically ART INFERNO are still the masters of symphonic black metal but introducing some novelties which will lead their sound toward new experimentation and avant-garde.

Formed in 1997 from the ashes of JOURNEY THROUGH THE DARK, ART INFERNO released two years after their debut “Abyssus Abyssum Invocat” (Scarlet Records), an opus of symphonic black metal featuring orchestral arrangements – some press called it Wagnerian black metal -, dark-horror ambient atmospheres and folk influences. The album achieved considerable public and critical success. A few dates in Italy followed, including a gig at Agglutination Metal Festival in 2000. A series of vicissitudes and logistical problems prevented the band from continuing the path, leading to a long silence and inactivity until, after finding themselves so many years later together again, the three original members (M. Acheron – guitar, Nerio – bass and vocals and M. Grinder – drums) decided to resume musical activity and immediately released a new single entitled “Faithful Of Caressing Horrors.” The song will serve as the forerunner to a series of other songs to be included in the next album. After the release of the single, the band will continue momentarily as a duo, with M. Acheron on guitar and synth and Nerio on vocals, bass and synth.

Depressive black metallers GHOST BATH have emerged from beyond the veil with their new album, Rose Thorn Necklace, out now via Nuclear Blast Records.  In their 12th year of existence, the band is not in the business of softening the edges. Rather, the frontman (Nameless aka Dennis Mikula) is leaning more toward his antisocial traits, serrated like a rusty knife yet beautifully honed over years of toil. Today, the band release the visualizer for the track, ‘Vodka Butterfly‘.

GHOST BATH comments, “Rose Thorn Necklace is now yours. This latest offering is very special and we hope you take from it whatever you need.”

Rose Thorn Necklace was recorded in 2024 between January and June. The drums were recorded and engineered by Mike Heller atHeaven and Heller Studios while the remaining sections were completed by Nameless (Dennis Mikula) at his home studio. The album was mixed and mastered by Jack Shirley. The cover artwork was created by Ksenija Tarasova. Free from the Moonlover–Starmourner–Self Loather conceptual trilogy, sole proprietor Nameless (aka Dennis Mikula) explores the most intense and introspective music from GHOST BATH’s oeuvre, advancing with blackened blasts and melancholic movements while moving his only child forward into the unknown.

To celebrate the release of their critically acclaimed new studio album, The Shit Ov God, which is out today, Poland’s kings of extreme metal, BEHEMOTH, have unleashed a stunning music video for their latest single, ‘Sowing Salt‘.

NERGAL added:
“‘Sowing Salt‘ is arguably one of the most brutal compositions in Behemoth’s catalogue to date. Unrelenting. Unapologetic. Absolute.

The video was directed by Zev Deans, with whom we’ve had the pleasure to collaborate before. He’s crafted a visual that powerfully completes the song — musically and lyrically. And the lyrics? Just as radical and confrontational as music itself.
“

With the post-apocalyptic and retro-futuristic imagery that dominates the clip, BEHEMOTH enter new territory without sacrificing the visual leitmotif and thematic virulence they have established over the course of their more than three-decade-long career. Scroll down to watch the video for ‘Sowing Salt‘ below.

And don’t forget to check out The Shit Ov God – BEHEMOTH‘s most inflammatory and extreme record to date!

NERGAL commented:
“Nearly 35 years in, thirteen albums deep — that’s a hell of a journey. And now, with full honesty and open veins, we give you this:
The Shit Ov God is upon you.
The new era begins as we bled for this monumental labor! Take this, all of you, eat and drink from it for this is our body given up for you!
Rejoice!”

ONHEIL Celebrate 25 Years with ‘As Hope Dies’ Video

Dutch Blackened Death Metal band ONHEIL continues its 25th anniversary celebration with the re-release of the remastered 2007 single and music video for ‘As Hope Dies’. Originally published as a single on the long-defunct MySpace platform, Swedish metal specialists BLACK LION RECORDS are now reviving the track, making it available today for streaming and download on all major platforms. Now, ‘As Hope Dies’ re-emerges to mark the re-release of ONHEIL’s highly acclaimed albums ‘Razor’ (2009) and ‘Storm Is Coming’ (2014).

After lurking in the underground since 1999, it was in 2007 that ‘As Hope Dies’ truly unleashed ONHEIL’s sound into the metal scene. With a newly formed and long-lasting lineup, ONHEIL re-forged their sound—fierce Black Metal laced with classic Heavy Metal riffs and melodies—earning them the nickname ‘Black Metal Iron Maiden’. Despite its age, the song’s lyrics about a decaying world hit harder now than ever.

Amok comments: “Man, ‘As Hope Dies’ changed everything for ONHEIL. That song and video took us from a chaotic, always-drunk demo band playing tiny shows to opening for VADER and MAYHEM, landing our first record deal, and kicking off years of gigs and festival mayhem! The music video, with all that old footage, still stands as an awesome testament to those crazy early days!”

This anniversary year promises to offer fans, known as The Omega Legions, a deeper insight into the band’s history. More unreleased and rare music, photos, and videos from their journey will be shared through their social media channels, and fans are encouraged to stay connected for the latest updates. ONHEIL will also perform live shows and do tours during the anniversary, including special old-school sets featuring tracks exclusively from their demos and their debut album, ‘Razor’.

After overcoming lineup changes and COVID setbacks, ONHEIL made a return in June 2023 with their album ‘In Black Ashes’, released by BLACK LION RECORDS. This “furious yet melodic” comeback album received high praise from the metal media. Legendary producer Dan Swanö (Dissection, Opeth, Dark Funeral, Bloodbath, Marduk, Insomnium) handled the mixing and mastering at Unisound Studios, while vocals and drums were recorded by Jonathan Merrelaar at Red Pack Studios (Picture). Guitar recordings were assisted by Bart Hennephof (Textures) at Creative Music Lab. Earlier this year, BLACK LION RECORDS re-released ONHEIL’s albums ‘Razor (2009) and ’Storm Is Coming (2014)’

STERBHAUS Release Second Single And Video ‘Wrecking the World’

STERBHAUS (ex members of Shining, Elvira Madigan, Ondskapt etc) has released a new single for the song “Wrecking the World” accompanied by a video that should raise an eyebrow or two – if not for it’s hilarious message and visuals then at least for the fact that people actually died making the film the video contains clips from.

The “Wrecking the World” video contains footage from the infamous (yet now probably forgotten) disaster movie “Noah’s Ark” from 1928 which had people actually dying during the flood scenes – scenes that included a then unknown John Wayne hired as one of 7500 extras. 2,5 million litres of water were unleashed over people frantically trying to stay above the water line or trying not to be trampled. So if it looks like people are desperately trying to stay alive – they actually really are!

Three people drowned, one person had to have his leg amputated and almost a dozen suffered broken limbs and other serious injuries.

So why does Sterbhaus have a video with footage from Noah’s Ark?

Well… the song “Wrecking the World” is actually about just this hilarious and dubious tall tale, and that there happened to exist an old weird film that goes so well with the lyrical content is really quite the coincident. The video stays extremely true to the bands agenda. Vocalist/lyricist Marcus Hammarström explains:

“I’ve always wanted to do a song about Noah’s Ark – even before Sterbhaus. I mean, it really portrays like nothing else the ultimate stupidity of the human race when it comes to what man is ready to accept as facts in order to just not being interested in thinking anymore. And for those who know Sterbhaus – we totally love stupidity. It seems like the world is missing a point when not understanding that if you consider yourself Christian in any way – you actually ‘have to’ buy into this rubbish. Because the thing is;you can’t pick the raisings out of a doctrine and ‘decide’ whats true or not from the same manual. Either you’re in or you’re out. And this story proves that if you’re in – you’re an idiot.

Well, I’m telling you! We’re gonna have ball tossing around awesome statistics and hilarious memes the next couple of months!“

STERBHAUS returned in February earlier this year with the release of a total banger called “Deth Bü Wolfe”. This was the first single and video from the upcoming album “Next Akin to Chaos” (which does not yet have a release date) that will mark the first new full length from the band in a decade.

STERBHAUS started in 2007 and is the home of Marcus Hammarström (also in Mayhems guitarist Ghuls side project Veile, prev Shining, Elvira Madigan),  Jimmy Ahovalli and Erik Röjås  (prev  Ondskapt, Decadence) and even though the band announced its retirement in 2019 it was also made official that – apart from releasing the live album “Necrostabbing at Göta Källare” in 2021 (which actually charted at #1 for physical format in Sweden), the very last thing to happen was going to be the release of one more album. The coming album “Next Akin to Chaos” is that album.
