Petrolbreath is a power trio from East Vantaa, embarking on their journey to the core of rock ‘n’ roll in 2019. The band consists of bassist-vocalist Joni Tammenpää, guitarist Ville Panhelainen, and drummer Tuomas Patanen. Drawing influence from 1980s hard rock and heavy metal bands, the sound of Motörhead in particular echoes strongly in their music.
Their previous releases include the heavy-hitting single “Lucifer’s Wings” (2021) and the energetic and well-received EP “Spread Your Wings and Die” (2024).
Petrolbreath recently recorded new material in a fully analog format at Astia Studio, with producer Anssi Kippo at the helm. With these recordings the trio has made a leap towards the raw and authentic sound format that has shaped the soundscape of their own heroes from the eighties as well.
The first track to be released from these sessions is the single “Roadkill”, which paints a picture of a desert highway with its ominous guitar intro. The tempo subtly increases until the song erupts into a fast and thunderous sonic assault; a true Petrolbreath trademark.
Listen to the single on music services (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal etc.): https://push.fm/fl/petrolbreath-roadkill – Composition and lyrics by Lassi Huotari
Like the aftermath of a car crash after a wild night with an unsatiable woman, the trip is far from over.
“Recording fully analog took us back to the soundscape of our youth – to the rawness and honesty that made us pick up instruments in the first place! Roadkill was the perfect burst of rage to launch us down this path, where we were able to capture that same energy band has playing live!” – Petrolbreath

Further to the new video King Parrot kick off their Australian album launch tour this weekend with shows in Warrnambool and Bendigo. They’ve also been added to the Acid Bath + Pentagram show in New York on July 25 at Brooklyn Paramount before joining “The Heaviest Tour of the Summer” alongside Pantera and Amon Amarth all over the US.

After recently completing a monstrous 33 date tour through Europe and the UK with stadium dates alongside Pantera and Power Trip followed by a full European club tour with death metal pioneers Master, KING PARROT deliver new single “GET WHAT YA GIVEN” from their forthcoming new album ahead of their first shows on the new album launch tour Matt Young had this to say about the new single: “After experiencing the loss of 2 of my closest friends in 2023, the experience of grief and life hit not only me, but the entire band in a heavy way. We lost our greatest friend and ally Boyd Synnott in 2023 who had done several of our album and EP covers, countless art and merch ideas, as well as acting and helping produce our music videos. This loss crushed us, but also helped fan the fire and drive motivation to push forward with this new album. This song particularly deals with grief, loss and the pressure of everyday life that some find so suffocating. This is a homage to the friends we’ve lost, and to anyone who struggles with this shit. We are grateful to have heavy music as an outlet and channel to work through it all. We have the live shows to come together with our people, celebrate the music and blow off some steam, it’s a pretty damn good deal.”
Further to the release of the single, King Parrot will be launching the new record all over Australia with a swag of new dates announced all around the country kicking on Friday at The Whalers Hotel in Warrnambool and The Golden Vine Hotel in Bendigo on Saturday May 10.
A new US show alongside Acid Bath + Pentagram will take place in New York at Brooklyn Paramount on July 25 before the band join Pantera + Amon Amarth on “The Heaviest Tour of The Summer” all over the USA. A full list of the bands upcoming tour dates can be found below, with more North American dates to be announced in the coming weeks including a string of Canadian shows.
A Young Person’s Guide To King Parrot marks the band’s first new output in five years. A hostile and abrasive slab of sensory destroying anthems, the record features ten thoroughly crafted blasts through the psyche of this crazed Aussie quintet. Recorded at Melbourne’s Dangertone studios with engineer Luke Walton, it’s the first full-length album since 2017’s critically adored Ugly Produce offering and their first new music since 2020’s Holed Up In The Lair EP.
Applying a similar approach to the writing process of their previous records, which has been historically organic and old-school, KING PARROT adopted a new approach to the studio process. Pulling the new record together was a meticulously creative endeavour and the final product is the most complete, aggressive, and urgent the band has ever sounded.

Phantomy from Iisalmi, Finland is set to release their debut album From the Wild on June 13th 2025 via Inverse Records. The band has unleashed the second single from the record, titled Wild Jungle Woman. Both the upcoming album and the new single offer listeners screeching guitar riffs, rumbling bass lines, and stadium-sized choruses delivered loud and proud.
The band’s drummer Herkko Lappalainen shares behind-the-scenes insights on the new single:
“I was sick at home and this song was born from a fever-fueled guitar jam session, which resulted in the creation of the intro riff. I thought the riff was so stupidly simple that we just had to turn it into a song. I recorded the demo on the spot, and Eetu came up with great lyrics and melodies for it. The end result was a rock’n’roll banger packed with all the essentials — shredding guitars, double bass drums, and big vocal hooks.”

Acclaimed British hard rock band Inglorious are pleased to share their new single and official video “Stand”, taken from the highly anticipated new studio album, “V”, out on June 6th, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.
Lead singer Nathan James described the track by saying: “Stand is probably the grooviest Inglorious song to date. It has all the classic Inglorious bits. Big riffs and a singalong chorus. But in a totally different way to anything we’ve done before. Colin played me the riff and I instantly said, this is gonna be a single. So proud of this tune. Everyone played great on this track. Very proud of it. Crank it up and enjoy”.
Bassist Colin Parkinson said: “Stand was written entirely on bass a few years ago during the pandemic. It was initially about wanting to be back around nature rather than around the day to day grind in a city – especially at that time. It was a song that I never thought could work with Inglorious, to be honest. But I played it to Nathan after the last demo session and he loved it. I then sent him the lyrics I had, and he changed them into something more updated and suited to how he was feeling. It’s turned out great and is one of my favourite songs on the album!”
About the new album, James stated: “In the summer of 2023, I sent a message to Colin and asked him if he wanted to come for a pint. A few meetings and writing sessions later, we had more than an album’s worth of great material and I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed every second of creating this album with him and the new line up. Colin has always been a great songwriter and over the years we’ve both matured as artists, writers, performers and people. This is going to be a great year for Inglorious and I’m excited to welcome Colin back and to share this new music with everyone”.
“I am extremely happy to be returning to Inglorious after a while away. It’s the right time to get some kickass new music out there for the fans and to focus on the future. Writing and recording with Nathan again has been the easiest it’s ever been; it all flowed so well. We’ve all played and sang our asses off on these songs and I know the new album will not disappoint!”, Parkinson added.
Inglorious returns with frontman Nathan James and original bassist Colin Parkinson. Nathan James, who founded the band in 2014, has been singing professionally for 20 years. He has performed/recorded with artists such as Ginger Baker, Uli Jon Roth and The Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
More recently, he has appeared in Jeff Wayne’s musical version of The War Of The Worlds, Steve Steinman’s Vampires Rock Symphonic, 80’s Classical and Zeppelin Symphonic. Nathan also fronts Supergroup Iconic, under the Frontiers roster featuring Michael Sweet, Joel Hoekstra, Marco Mendoza and Tommy Aldridge.
In 2022, after a lengthy UK tour, Inglorious announced a hiatus. After seven years of non-stop touring with bands such as The Winery Dogs, Steel Panther, The Dead Daisies, Last In Line, as well as their own international tours and festival appearances, recording four original albums, a live album and a covers album, everyone felt it was the right time to take a break.
Nathan is now back, looking forward to unleashing his powerful voice and he joined forces once again with original Inglorious bass player and main co-writer Colin Parkinson, who co-wrote and released the first three albums with the band: “Inglorious”, “II” and “Ride To Nowhere”.
Joining them is renowned guitarist Richard Shaw, best known for his work with English extreme metal band Cradle Of Filth, as well as NG26, Emperor Chung, and Plague Of Angels. Richard brings exceptional musicality and a fresh energy to the band’s sound.
On drums, longtime friend of Nathan, Henry Rogers, completes the line up. A celebrated musician, Henry has played with Touchstone, Mostly Autumn, Mia Klose, and Mark Kelly’s Marathon and has earned accolades such as “Drummer Of The Year” in Classic Rock Prog Magazine and Rhythm Magazine’s list of influential progressive drummers.
Produced by Colin Parkinson, “V” was mixed by Tony Draper, who also worked on “Inglorious II” and “Ride To Nowhere”, ensuring the album retains the band’s signature sound while exploring new heights.
“V” Tracklist:
1. Testify 2. Eat You Alive 3. Devil Inside 4. Say What You Wanna Say 5. Believe 6. Stand 7. In Your Eyes 8. Silent 9. End Of The Road 10. Power Of Truth
