Swedish power metal masters Insania release their new single and accompanying video “The Trinity”, taken from the upcoming new studio album “The Great Apocalypse”, out on June 13th, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.

Pre-order “The Great Apocalypse” HERE

Guitarist Niklas Dahlin described the new single: “This song centres on the first nuclear weapons test, codenamed Trinity, conducted at a remote site near Alamogordo, New Mexico, in 1945. That fateful day reshaped the world forever. It is said that even the blind could see the bright light from the explosion…”

About the new album, the band commented: “The Great Apocalypse picks up just where Insania V left us, and many of the songs are touching the subject of mankind being destructive and never learning from our previous mistakes. In fact, every song on this album is a little bit darker than the songs on Insania V, so sit back, raise the volume on your device, and let yourself flow into the darkness of our world going under with an incredible and beautiful sound of The Great Apocalypse”.

Four years after the successful “V”, the Swedes are back with their own recipe of power metal, full of speedy, double-bass drums, great hooks, and amazing solos. The band’s current line-up consists of Mikko Korsbäck (drums), Erik Arkö (bass), Niklas Dahlin (guitars), Ola Halén (vocals and guitars).

The first version of Insania was formed in 1992 by drum player Mikko Korsbäck and guitar player Henrik Juhano. Bass player Tomas Stolt was added to the line-up shortly after, and a few other musicians were also part of the band for short periods of time.

The band initially started off playing covers of their favorite bands such as Helloween and Iron Maiden, but eventually Mikko’s classmate Niklas Dahlin joined as a second guitar player and they started writing their own tunes. The band then added keyboard player Patrik Västilä and began to pursue a more melodic style. Mikko took it upon himself to sing, even if he was playing the drums at the same time, as the band had not found a vocalist to match their ambitions.

In 1997, the band approached singer David Henriksson to join the band. The union between the band’s ambitions and David’s vocals was a match made in heaven. The band felt complete and sought to find a way to reach a bigger crowd.

Later, the band was offered a deal with House Of Kicks (later known as MNW and then Sound Pollution) and their debut album “World Of Ice” was released in 1999. The band would go on to release three more albums over the course of the coming years, while enduring some line-up changes and eventually going on hiatus in 2007.

Following the signing with Frontiers to release “V”, Insania started to bring their power metal attack again back to the metalheads around the globe, revitalized with the addition of the singer extraordinaire Ola Halén.

“The Great Apocalypse” Tracklist:

1.    The Trinity
2.    Indestructible
3.    No One’s Hero
4.    Afterlife
5.    Revolution

Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: MICK BLANKENSHIP. Leave a comment

Hard rock artist Mick Blankenship releases a powerful new chapter in his musical journey: Legacy, a six-track E.P. featuring five brand-new originals and a striking cover of Queensrÿche’s classic “Silent Lucidity.” Marking his third studio release, Legacy finds Blankenship boldly reinventing his sound with a fresh edge, and raw intensity.

For the first time, Blankenship collaborates with co-writer and co-producer Noah Henson (Brantley Gilbert, Pillar), ushering in a modernized era of Hard Rock music. The E.P. is anchored by the electrifying singles “Sands of Time” and “Change of Season,” each showcasing Blankenship’s signature vocal grit and sonic force.

Legacy is a loud, raw,  villainous, “in your face” kind of album filled with familiar references to throwback bands like Motley Crue and Van Halen, but has the power of bands like Disturbed and Shinedown to deliver the new sound Blankenship has been cultivating.

In addition to the release of Legacy, Blankenship has officially signed with Paul Crosby Management. Paul Crosby, best known as the former drummer of the multi-platinum rock band Saliva, brings years of experience and industry insight to the team as Blankenship enters this next phase of his career.

MOTÖRHEAD Mark 50 Year Anniversary with “The Manticore Tapes” Album + Release First Single/Video ‘Motörhead’

MOTÖRHEAD proudly announce ‘The Manticore Tapes’ – a ‘lost’ album from 1976 to be released for the first time ever on 27th June via BMG. The album consists of
eleven previously unreleased recordings from the first ever studio session of the ‘Three Amigos’ line-up of Lemmy, Fast Eddie Clarke and Phil Taylor. The first single and video ‘Motörhead’ is out now!

Watch the video for ‘Motörhead’ HERE and pre-order the album HERE

In 1976 the seminal line-up of Motörhead was solidified a year after the band’s initial inception. Known as the ‘Three Amigos’ era of Motörhead, Lemmy (bass/vocals), Fast Eddie Clarke (guitar) and Phil ‘Philthy Animal’ Taylor (drums) joined forces and began their extraordinary journey to the top of the hard rock elite.

In August 1976 the band set up at Emerson, Lake & Palmer’s legendary Manticore Studio in Fulham to rehearse and showcase the new lineup. While they were there they recorded together for the very first time and now, forty nine years later, this long lost tape has surfaced, been dusted off and restored in all its raw glory, to celebrate the seminal hard rock bands 50th anniversary.

It’s quite surreal, even unbelievable that a whole half century has elapsed since that vital time in 1976. Just as remarkable, especially for those who remember Lemmy hammering the fruit machines of London’s pubs or as the era’s most extraordinarily approachable rock star, has been this always humble man’s ascension to Mount Rushmore-like immortality as rock ‘n’ roll’s ultimate icon, this despite his having sadly passed away nearly ten years ago. Lemmy himself certainly would have cackled.

The dogged struggles Motörhead faced in the first four of their 50 years are well documented and the almost accidental manifestation of this album – and the circumstances under which it was recorded – present a previously barely known new element in the band’s history from that time when it’s very future looked bleak had events not taken a different course.

Part of that early story involved a little-mentioned man called Frank Kennington, who roadied for The Who before moving into management and briefly taking on the struggling Motörhead.  One of Kennington’s moves was booking the trio into the converted ABC cinema on Fulham Palace Road that served as prog supergroup Emerson, Lake and Palmer’s HQ – which was known as Manticore. Named after the mythical beast in Persian folklore that adorned their album sleeves, Manticore was one-stop shopping for bands, with the projection room housing offices while the seatless main auditorium provided a useful soundstage for bands to rehearse in. Motörhead were ensconced at Manticore recording their set on Ronnie Lane’s mobile studio, which was operated by Ronnie’s trusted mate Ron Faucus.

Faucus did a fine job capturing Motörhead’s blossoming raw power and high velocity onslaughts on songs that would remain in their live set until 1979. These aging tapes were brought to life with restoration duties dutifully handled by longtime Motörhead collaborator Cameron Webb at Maple Studios in California and mastered by Andrew Alekel at Bolskine House in Los Angeles.  The result is a truly historical moment in the evolution of hard rock’s finest heavy icons, restoring and bringing to the public eye for the first time ever a vital part of Motörhead’s evolution and history.

The Manticore Tapes will be available as a deluxe expanded bookpack containing a double LP and 7” single, a single LP, CD and digital.

TENEBRO Sign to Time To Kill Records, New CD Compilation “Uomo Mangia Uomo” Out This Summer

Posted by tarjavirmakari on May 10, 2025

From the darkest crypts of Italy’s death metal underground, TENEBRO have officially signed with Time To Kill Records.

While the band is currently in the studio completing work on their highly anticipated new full-length album, they are preparing a special release to mark the occasion: “Uomo Mangia Uomo”, a limited edition CD compilation that brings together their notorious Trilogia della Morte Italiana for the first time in one unholy volume.

Scheduled for release to coincide with the band’s performance at this year’s Frantic Festival in Francavilla al Mare (Italy), “Uomo Mangia Uomo” will be unleashed as a collector’s box set, which will include not only the CD, but also an exclusive pin and woven patch, making it an essential item for diehard fans and collectors.

Self-styled as Italian Horror Glorifying Death Metal, TENEBRO have carved out a singular niche, channeling the rotting essence of the country’s most depraved horror and exploitation cinema.

This compilation includes their three cult EPs, previously released on cassette (Dismal Fate Records) and 7-inch vinyl (Seven Metal Inches Records), now unearthed together with an exclusive unreleased bonus track, “Uomo Mangia Uomo”, recorded specifically for this edition.

“Uomo Mangia Uomo” features tracks from the following EPs:

  • Carne Umana (2022) – a savage tribute to Umberto Lenzi’s “Cannibal Ferox”
  • La Bestia dell’Isola Maledetta (2023) – a grotesque homage to Joe D’Amato’s “Anthropophagus”
  • Contaminati Viventi (2025) – dedicated to Bruno Mattei’s zombie plague film “Virus”
  • + 1 brand new unreleased bonus track, “Uomo Mangia Uomo”

This is death metal with no compromise: guttural, raw, and festering with the morbid spirit of Italy’s golden age of cinematic depravity. The Italian Death Trilogy is now complete. “Uomo Mangia Uomo” is your only chance to own the full sickness in one place.

Stay tuned for the artwork, previews, and more details coming soon via Time To Kill Records.

Icelandic DEVINE DEFILEMENT Drop ‘Anthropophagic Apocalypse Pt. 2 – The Lord of Flesh’ Single

Posted by tarjavirmakari on May 10, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: DEVINE DEFILEMENT. Leave a comment

Icelandic death metal force DEVINE DEFILEMENT return with “Anthropophagic Apocalypse Pt. 2 – The Lord of Flesh”, a vicious new offering from their new album “Ruthless”, out now.

Expanding the grisly narrative introduced in Part 1, the track delivers a torrent of churning riffs, guttural vocals, and tightly controlled chaos. Fierce yet calculated, the band’s sound draws on technical precision and thick, menacing grooves to conjure a bleak, flesh-ripping atmosphere that cements their standing as one of the most ruthless acts in today’s extreme metal landscape.

The band commented:

“Picking up right where pt. 1 one left off, ‘Anthropophagic Apocalypse pt. 2’ escalates the intensity and ruthlessness of what came before! Hitting like a sledgehammer of barbaric blasting, ravenous riffs, sickening slams and vile vocals, we delve deeper into the lunacy of mankind’s self-annihilation. Join the Lord of Flesh as he invites you into his sadistic creed of perversion and atrocity to play some vicious games”.

Time To Kill Records will release “Ruthless” on May 9th, 2025. With this latest offering, the band refines their sonic onslaught, embracing a more compact and percussive approach, crafting tracks where tension remains constant and unrelenting.

Since their eruption onto the Icelandic metal scene in 2016, DEVINE DEFILEMENT has honed their signature sound—a fusion of pummeling grooves, devastating slams, and sheer brutality—into an even more relentless force. “Ruthless” captures this evolution, delivering leaner, sharper compositions that pulse with controlled aggression and unwavering intensity.

Tracklist:

1. Human Sewer
2. Abusement Park
3. Terror Tales
4. Excreted Entity
5. Internal Delusions Of The Torn Mind
6. Pulverised Secretions

8. Anthropophagic Apocalypse pt.2 – Lord of Flesh

Their crushing live performances have left a lasting impact at Eistnaflug, Reykjavík Deathfest, Norðanpaunk, Deathfeast Open Air, and Nice to Eat You, with more festival appearances confirmed for 2025.

Italian metallers ETERNAL IDOL are pleased to announce the release of their new studio album “Behind A Vision”, scheduled for release on July 11th, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.

Pre-Order “Behind A Vision” HERE

Guitarist Nick Savio commented on the new single: “Empire Of One will be easily chosen as one major hit in our next live set list. This masterpiece has all the right cards to be one of the best songs ever written by Eternal Idol. Solid high class modern rock riff with the co-lead male and female vocals singers at their best”.

Talking about the new album, he added: “I’m very excited to present to all of you the new Eternal Idol chapter. This new material is so fresh and melodic, with our trademark modern symphonic touch. The connection between band members and production team made something special which I’m very happy to share with all of you. The record is epic, symphonic, modern, mainstream and bombastic as you’ve never heard before. See you out there, Idols!!!”

Eternal Idol return with a revamped, re-energized line-up and an exciting new album, “Behind A Vision”.

Following the departure of Fabio Lione (Rhapsody, Angra) and Claudia Layline, guitarist Nick Savio (Hollow Haze), bassist Andrea Buratto (Secret Sphere, Hell In The Club), and drummer Enrico Fabris, managed to bring on board two young talented singers Gabriele Gozzi (who recently joined Induction) and Letizia Merlo.

Eternal Idol’s sophomore album is an epic maelstrom of symphonic/melodic metal that will delight fans of the genre who treasure intense songwriting and impeccable vocal performances.

Nick Savio worked hard on songwriting and arrangements. The new vocalists added their personal touch on all the songs as well. The album was recorded between the end of 2019 and early 2020, produced by Eternal Idol, and mixed by Simone Mularoni (DGM, Sunstorm). “Behind A Vision” represents a promise and a statement from Eternal Idol: to be one of the absolute best melodic metal releases of the year!

Eternal Idol is a symphonic metal band which was put together by Rhapsody and Angra vocalist Fabio Lione Italian guitarist Nick Savio of Hollow Haze. Their plan was to create a new and original sound which could catch symphonic metal fans by surprise. In fact, Eternal Idol offers an intriguing mix of classic metal, symphonic rock, and a few progressive metal twists.

The band’s debut, “The Unrevealed Secret” was released in December 2016, and received an overall excellent response. The band toured Europe and Italy in support of the release in early 2017.

Unfortunately, Eternal Idol went through some lineup changes all over the years, but Nick has always been able to regroup and brought a reenergized line-up and, with a brand new album under their belt, the band is now ready to once again unleash its baroque metal sound on the world!

“Behind A Vision” Tracklist:

1.    Amnesia
2.    The Enemy Is Me
3.    Empire Of One
4.    Vampire
5.    Battle Of Souls
6.    Beyond The Sun
7.    Revolution
8.    The Idol
9.    The Eye Of God
10.    The Great Illusion
11.    Krystal

Line Up:
Gabriele Gozzi – Vocals
Letizia Merlo – Vocals
Nick Savio – Guitars and orchestral arrangements
Andrea Buratto – Bass
Enrico Fabris – Drums
