EVIG NATT Unleash Long-Awaited Album “Vaketimen”

Emerging from the unholy metal grounds of the Norwegian west coast, EVIG NATT proudly announces the worldwide release of their cinematic new masterpiece, Vaketimen, out today.

Deeply rooted in the atmospheric traditions of their homeland, Evig Natt, featuring former members of metal legends Einherjer and Enslaved, expands the horizons of the genre. Vaketimen is an evocative journey through “Orchestral Gothic Doom Metal,” a sound that is as aggressive as it is subtle, and as noisy as it is beautiful.

Following the success of their self-titled 2016 release, which saw the band touring from Belgium to Japan, Vaketimen represents a refined evolution. The album balances crushing riffs with elegant, slow-burning arrangements, creating a tension-filled landscape of melody and earned darkness. Drawing inspiration from icons like Anathema, My Dying Bride, and Swallow The Sun, Evig Natt blends progressive elements with black metal intensity to create something truly unique.

Vaketimen is available now on all digital platforms: orcd.co/vaketimen

The album has already generated significant buzz with four powerful singles and music videos:
–Når Lyset Svikte Music Video: https://youtu.be/BpL5w49vpjE
–At The End Of The Night: https://youtu.be/jGkC4-dh29g
–Sorrow My World: https://youtu.be/XN-6jDi2_G8
–Death: https://youtu.be/qSUEaUzN874

Media Reactions to Vaketimen

“And then, of course, there’s the real beauty of Vaketimen: it’s not just an album, it’s a purging.” ever-metal.com

«Vaketimen» is not an album that is easy to listen to, but that is what makes it so special. Emotional attention is needed, and the listener needs to dig deep in his soul to feel for the pain of the artist.” Metalwar.gr

“…an album that I find objectively beautiful and well-constructed…for fans of atmospheric gothic/doom, it’s clearly a release not to be overlooked.” anteverse.fr

“…EVIG NATT’s true power emerges, yet not through sheer heaviness, but through their ability to shape darkness into something quietly radiant…a reminder that beauty can exist within despair” femalefrontedpower.com

About EVIG NATT :

Formed in 2003 in Karmøy, western Norway, EVIG NATT began as a studio project by vocalist Kirsten Jørgensen and bassist Stein Sund, later joined by drummer Harald Magne Revheim. The band released their acclaimed debut I Am Silence in 2007 via Omvina Records, followed by Darkland in 2010 on Black Bards, earning international praise and features in magazines such as Metal Hammer and Scream. Their self-titled third album arrived in 2016 and led to tours across Europe and Japan.

Musically, EVIG NATT sit at the crossroads of gothic doom, progressive metal, and black metal, with influences ranging from Anathema and My Dying Bride to Swallow The Sun and The Provenance. Members have also been connected to Norwegian metal pillars Einherjer and Enslaved, further grounding the band in the country’s heavy legacy.

With Vaketimen, EVIG NATT sound focused, mature, and unafraid to let the music breathe. This is not about excess. It’s about atmosphere, emotion, and the long shadow that lingers after the final note.

PRIMAL FEAR Drop New Single & Video ‘One’, “Domination” Tour to Continue Next Month

While the world remains being a restless place, metal commando PRIMAL FEAR is among the most reliable constants in these insecure times. Supporting their 2025 success album “Domination” on stages worldwide with a second European leg kicking off in London, UK on March 11, the band warm-up their engines with a new track called ‘One’ today. The straight-forward anthem calls upon mankind to stand together instead of feuding each other, and was recorded during the “Domination” sessions. Combining hard-hitting riffs and the group’s melodic trademark approach masterfully, the single is in no way inferior to PRIMAL FEAR’s celebrated current opus!

Bassist/vocalist Mat Sinner states: “‘One’ is a continuation of the “Domination” atmosphere. A massive riff, true PF melodies, a driving groove, and Ralf’s characteristic vocals. It’s like a teaser for the second leg of our European tour as well as our upcoming South American run. Our cover artist, Death.Milk.Designs, has created a killer video clip with a collection of awesome scenes. Enjoy listening & watching the video, we’re incredibly excited for the next part of the tour!”

Since September 5, 2025, the day which has seen the official “Domination” release through Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM), the group have undisputedly shown that they belong to the very front of the scene. On one hand, “Domination” stormed the various album charts around the globe once again with a major highlight being their fourth German top 10 entry in a row, rounded off by a series of impressive numbers in other European countries as well as in the US and Japan.

On the other hand, PRIMAL FEAR fired countless songs from their rich hit arsenal – including a series of their brand new material – at the crowds during the first leg of their “Domination” European tour. Fans gathering at the packed venue have literally known the words of ‘Destroyer’ and especially their obvious new stomping anthem ‘I Am The Primal Fear’ from day 1 of the trek, making these dates a common triumph across the continent after re-completing the PRIMAL FEAR foundation and Mat Sinner’s long-awaited live return. Culminating in form of their first headline appearances in Spain in 7 years, the band have renewed, if not extended their footprint on the grounds of the metal world with this 21-date run.

It’s beyond debate that the metal commandos must bring their oiled machinery to other places, which they couldn’t visit during the first part of their “Domination” tour. No sooner said than done. The second leg is booked and the eagle is conquering the posters of worldwide festivals continuously. Don’t miss out & and be prepared to get an unforgettable heavy metal lesson teached by PRIMAL FEAR!

About PRIMAL FEAR

Going strong for nearly three decades, the band founded and still led by Mat Sinner (bass, vocals) and Ralf Scheepers (vocals) have never let down their global fanbase. Relentless and constantly pushing their limits, PRIMAL FEAR ensure that no two albums ever sound the same. After “Code Red” [2023] hit some of the highest chart positions of their career, expectations for the next release were higher than ever. Now joined by gifted guitarist Thalìa Bellazecca and former touring drummer André Hilgers, the quintet were more than up for the challenge. And as “Domination” makes clear, no obstacle is too great for PRIMAL FEAR’s powerhouse songwriting trio – Sinner, Scheepers, and guitarist Magnus Karlsson, who has rejoined the band’s live line-up after several years away.

From the hard-hitting opener ‘The Hunter’ and first single ‘Far Away,’ to the uplifting mid-tempo anthem ‘Tears Of Fire’ and the epic ballad ‘Eden’ – featuring a surprise guest appearance by AD INFINITUM’s Melissa Bonny – “Domination” delivers on all fronts. Add in neck-breakers like ‘Scream’ and ‘Crossfire,’ and the reflective, string-and-piano-driven closer ‘A Tune I Won’t Forget,’ and it’s clear: PRIMAL FEAR aren’t here to reclaim the crown – they’re here to prove they’ve never left the throne of heavy/power metal royalty.

PRIMAL FEAR are:

Mat Sinner | bass, vocals

FOREWORD Unveil Searing New Single + Video ‘Self-Immolate’ Alongside New EP “Exposition”

Posted by tarjavirmakari on February 22, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: FOREWORD. Leave a comment

US metalcore outfit Foreword have released their new single ‘Self-Immolate’ to mark the release of their EP Exposition, out now via Seek and Strike.

Listen to Exposition here.

Blistering and unrelenting, ‘Self-Immolate’ captures one of the EP’s most volatile moments. Driven by punishing riffs and a suffocating atmosphere, the track confronts the destructive pull of inner turmoil, the instinct to burn everything down in an attempt to cauterise self-inflicted wounds, only to realise that once the fire starts, it can no longer be controlled.

“With ‘Self-Immolate,’ we wanted to return to an otherworldly visual space, similar to what we explored on the ‘Sandman’ video, but with significantly more heat involved,” the band explain. “The song is about giving in to the fire inside you and trying to cauterize the wounds you create, only to realize that once something is burning, it is no longer under your control. Naturally, we decided the best way to convey this was to film in a Texas warehouse with almost no ventilation.”

What unfolds on screen is as punishing as the song itself. Shot in suffocating conditions, the video captures the band performing amid oppressive heat, with the physical strain becoming part of the narrative.

“As expected, the conditions were brutal,” they continue. “The exhaustion you see on screen is completely real and no one was acting by the end of the shoot. Faces melting, patience wearing thin and the overwhelming heat all became part of the experience. In a strange way, that discomfort worked in our favor, turning the video into a very honest extension of the song’s themes and making the suffering feel earned.”

Often cited as a modern embodiment of classic early-2000s metalcore, Foreword lean into that lineage on Exposition but with sharpened edges and a wider sonic pallete. Across the EP, crushing rhythm-driven foundations collide with layered synths and cinematic atmospheres that allow the heaviness to hit harder.

Foreword comment on the EP: “This EP carries a particularly personal weight for us as a band. It represents a moment where we allowed ourselves to fully lean into the sounds, textures and influences that have shaped us over the years, while still pushing our identity forward. A major source of inspiration came from modern gaming soundtracks, most notably titles like DOOM and Cyberpunk 2077, which encouraged us to think more cinematically and atmospherically in our writing.

“This EP means a lot to us because it feels real in a way that is sometimes scary. It captures a version of ourselves that is imperfect, searching, and still learning how to communicate honestly, both with each other and with the people listening. If someone connects with this music during a difficult moment in their own life, then the vulnerability it required was worth it.

“Thank you to everyone who gives this EP their time, their attention and their trust. We do not take that lightly, and we hope these songs meet people wherever they are and remind them they are not alone in what they are feeling.”

Exposition was recorded with producer Cory Brunnemann (Nonpoint, Upon A Burning Body, Zahna), whose collaborative approach played a key role in shaping the EP’s cohesive identity. Departing from their more prescriptive methods of the past, Foreword placed a higher level of trust in the studio process, allowing ideas to evolve organically.

“We brought Cory a wide range of ambitious and sometimes unconventional ideas,” the band explain. “His ability to translate our more chaotic and abstract concepts into something focused, impactful and consistent elevated the songs beyond what we feel we could have achieved on our own.”

Rooted in self reflection and internal conflict, Exposition documents moments of doubt, frustration, guilt and emotional tension as they were happening, rather than after resolution. The result is an immersive and deeply honest release that expands Foreword’s sound while preserving the intensity and emotion at its core.

For fans of Paleface Swiss, I Prevail and Landmvrks, Exposition marks a confident and compelling evolution.

Track-list:
1. Shepard to the Black Sheep
2. Am I Dreaming (Wide-Awake)
3. Hunger Sickness
4. Read Between the Lines
5. Intimate Torment
6. Self-Immolate

Vocals – Andy Alderson

SABOTØR Release Self-Titled Single from Upcoming Debut Album “Første Aksjon”

Posted by tarjavirmakari on February 22, 2026

With inspirations from the resistance movement in Norway during the 2nd World War, the young metal band Sabotør (Saboteur) offers you some hard-hitting and old-school metal.

Formed in 2024 by Rasmus Stenstadvolden Strømberg (bass and vocals), Andreas Remmen (guitar) and Mathilde Solemdal (drums), the trio started slamming out epic metal/punk tracks with the inspiration from bands like English Dogs, Brocas Helm and Warfare. All packed in the theme of the Norwegian resistance movement during the 2nd World War, with lyrics in Norwegian.

Their debut album, “Første Aksjon”, is set to be released on May the 8th. The album was recorded at Formkraft Produksjoner and the album was mixed by Remi André Nygård (Morax/Inculter).

The second single, “Sabotør”, was released on Friday the 20th February. You can check out the single here: https://orcd.co/sabotoer

Sabotør has this to say about the track:
This song tells the story of the Norwegian heavy water sabotage that took place near Rjukan, Telemark, in 1943. A group of saboteurs in the operations Grouse, Freshman and Gunnerside were deployed on the Hardanger Plateau, where they would take their way on ski to the Vemork power station. The objective was to destroy the plant and sabotage the German heavy water production, which was to be used in the development of nuclear weapons. The British glider assault, Operation Freshman, was unsuccessful, and all survivors were executed. Operations Gunnerside and Grouse managed to successfully land on the plateau, joined forces, and they infiltrated the Vemork plant and destroyed the production facility the night of 27 – 28. February, 1943.

The riffs are rolled in with barbed wire, and each song delivers dynamite, vandalism, espionage and sabotage!

You can pre-order “Første Aksjon” on Limited Edtion black vinyl here:
