The Italian crossover veterans are gearing up to release a brand-new full-length album, set to breathe new life into their signature high-energy blend of hardcore and thrash. With their unmistakable groove and raw intensity, TOXIC YOUTH are ready to take their crossover sound to the next level.

TOXIC YOUTH is a hardcore/crossover band from Milan, Italy, active since 1990. Founded by Cristian (guitar) and Max (drums), they were soon joined by Ale (Boo Ya) and, after a few lineup changes, Novo on bass. Their sound blends hardcore and thrash influences, delivering high-energy, raw performances.

In 1993, they recorded their self-titled demo at Jungle Sound Studio in Milan with Fabio Magistrali (Ritmo Tribale, Afterhours), selling 500 copies and gaining traction in the underground scene. Their intense live activity saw them share the stage with RKL, D.O.A., Beastie Boys, and Franky Hi-Nrg.

After signing with NoWayRec., they recorded their debut album but ultimately self-released “Real Attitudes, Not Words!!” in 1995, selling over 1,000 copies. They toured alongside Extrema, Insidia, Lacuna Coil, and Sadist, playing major festivals like Beach Bum Festival with Faith No More and Tiamat. Despite a strong fan base, internal struggles led to their disbandment in 2007.

In 2018, TOXIC YOUTH reunited with new drummer Hicham (Calibro 9, Cattiva Condotta) and returned to the stage, supporting acts like Sick Of It All, Siberian Meat Grinder, and Raw Power. Signing with WTF Records, they released “Back To You-th” in 2020, followed by a 2023 reissue with a bonus track. That same year, they released a 12” split vinyl with Odpisani, titled “Walkin’ Free Towards A Better Tomorrow”.

Now stronger than ever, TOXIC YOUTH continues to bring their relentless energy to the hardcore scene.

Line-up:

Ale – Vocals
Cristian – Guitar
Novo – Bass
Hicham – Drums

About TESLA

That they are still roaring and soaring should be no surprise. That’s just how they are built. TESLA may have been born in the mid-80s, but their bluesy, soulful sound is strongly embedded in the roots of organic, authentic, 1970s rock and roll. The same roots that produced bands like Bad Company, Grand Funk Railroad, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith.

The ground started shaking in Sacramento, CA, in 1984; gold country that would soon be producing some platinum. They started out as City Kidd, until a suggested name change to TESLA, honoring the eccentric inventor Nikola Tesla who pioneered all things electrical. Their 1986 platinum debut album, Mechanical Resonance, included Top 40 hits “Modern Day Cowboy” and “Little Suzi.” 1989’s double-platinum The Great Radio Controversy included hits “Heaven’s Trail (No Way Out)” and “Love Song”. Suddenly, TESLA, who had been touring with bands such as Def Leppard and David Lee Roth, earned headlining status. In 1990, TESLA helped reshape the face of modern rock music by stripping down to the Five Man Acoustical Jam, an informal collection of their biggest hits peppered with rock and roll classics by the Beatles, Stones, and others. This album produced their biggest hit single to date, a cover of Five Man Electrical Band’s “Signs.” Other 90s albums from Tesla include platinum selling Psychotic Supper and Bust a Nut.  The band continues to record and release new material including 9 new albums since 2000. Most recently, they debuted the single “All About Love,” featured on their All About Love EP—now available as a special edition collector’s 12″ vinyl. They also celebrated two highly successful Record Store Day events since their last residency, with both volumes of their limited-edition double LPs, Real 2 Reel Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, completely selling out. Both are cover song studio albums that pay homage to classic rock tunes from the late 1960s and early 1970s. TESLA brings their unique touch to these iconic tracks, recorded using analog tape and vintage equipment, with a dedication to preserving the raw, authentic sound of the era. The albums showcase the band’s exceptional talent, captured in a live in studio setting, without the use of pro tools or an automated mixing console.

TESLA’s legacy is alive and well as they continue to record and sellout venues all over the world. As comfortable, rugged, and dependable as your favorite pair of boots, they endure. TESLA is a celebration of the greatest spirits of rock and roll.

Scottish progressive post-metal collective DVNE are pleased to unveil Live At The Biscuit Factory, out now digitally on Metal Blade Records.

It’s a glimpse into how we come together as a band, and it’s clear from the performance just how much these songs and playing them together mean to us.”

Formed in Edinburgh in 2013 by displaced Frenchman Victor Vicart and native Scot Dudley Tait, DVNE have been building a powerful head of steam since their second album, 2021’s kaleidoscopically mesmerizing Etemen Ænka. Their first release for the legendary Metal Blade Records label, the LP was a concerted hike up the greasy pole for this enigmatic outfit, enabling DVNE to embark on UK and European headline tours and win spots at such discerning festivals as Hellfest, ArcTanGent, Desertfest, Damnation, and Resurrection. Their stunning third album Voidkind propelled this expanded five-piece line-up (welcoming Maxime Keller on keyboards) to the top of their game.

Certainly Voidkind succeeds in finding new modes of expression for DVNE. The songs are more pointed, direct, and memorable, but the soundscape is still a radiant, evolving, hypnotic flow, the effect achieved with fewer layers of sonic ornamentation, consciously urging closer to DVNE‘s incendiary live sound.

DVNE:
Victor Vicart – guitars, vocals
Daniel Barter – guitars, vocals
Dudley Tait – drums
Alexandros Keros – bass
Maxime Keller – keys

GRADIENCE Sign with Metal Blade Records, Unleash New Single + Video ‘Lucid’ Feat. Ghost Iris

Posted by tarjavirmakari on May 6, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: GRADIENCE. Leave a comment

Metal Blade Records is proud to announce the signing of GRADIENCE, the uncompromising Danish metal act forging a bold new path with their explosive fusion of black metal, deathcore, metalcore, and trap-rap.

With their critically acclaimed debut EP Ironsight, produced by Chris Kreutzfeldt (CABAL, MØL), GRADIENCE has already turned heads for their fearless genre experimentation and raw, personal storytelling – tackling themes of alienation and the inner turmoil that comes from being seen as an outsider.

Just ahead of today’s announcement, the band independently released their latest single “Lucid” feat. Ghost Iris – check the music video below.

A collaborative effort with Danish progressive metalcore powerhouse Ghost Iris, “Lucid” expands GRADIENCE‘s sound with towering vocals, pummeling grooves, and a heightened sense of emotional urgency.

“We’re beyond excited to welcome Gradience to the Metal Blade family,” says EU label manager Markus “Bart” Grasseck. “Their innovation, intensity, and fearless creativity embody everything we stand for. The future of heavy music runs through bands like this.”

The band’s debut EP Ironsight – praised by Metal Hammer UK as “a tease of Gradience’s grizzly potential” – has been nominated for EP of the Year at the 2024 Danish Heavy Awards, with GRADIENCE also recognized as a nominee for the Hope of the Year award. Earlier this year, they performed at the exclusive When Copenhell Freezes Over showcase hosted by Copenhell at the legendary VEGA venue in Copenhagen.

Metal Hammer UK also hailed their debut single “This Abyss” as: “Astounding… Gradience are exactly that – the Danish duo mixing hip hop and explosive black metal with both elements delivered to the highest quality.”

Following impactful collaborations with Hexis (“Crushed By The Tide“) and UK’s Love Is Noise (“Save Me“), GRADIENCE continues to break boundaries with each release – and now, under the wing of Metal Blade Records, their next chapter is set to be their most ferocious yet.

MOTÖRHEAD: Details for “Lemmy Forever” Stoke-On-Trent Ceremony, Statue Unveiling on May 9th

Posted by tarjavirmakari on May 5, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: Lemmy Forever Stoke-On-Trent Ceremony, MOTÖRHEAD. Leave a comment

On Friday May 9th, one of Burslem’s most famous sons – Motörhead founder and bassist/vocalist Lemmy Kilmister – will be honoured and further immortalized during the “Lemmy Forever Stoke-On-Trent Ceremony”. With Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell attending to place Lem’s ashes in a magnificent statue created by local sculptor and huge Motörhead fan Andy Edwards, the day is going to be filled with fun, friends, and some volume too. The ceremony will commence in Burslem town center at approximately 4pm, with friends invited to come early and make a day of it by enjoying some pre-ceremonial Motörhead beverages at the various site-adjacent hostelries including Old Post Office bar and Ale House, while the Market Place Café will also have refreshments, including a special Motörhead roast of the day. Some of the ceremonial festivities will include a biker’s corteo accompanying the ashes, various speakers, and a roaring 21-rev salute which will hit the skies in ceremonial reverence! The statue itself captures Lemmy in all his live glory from the 1981 era, which saw Motörhead headline the Heavy Metal Holocaust just down the road at Port Vale Stadium back on August 1st 1981.

Here are some more details on what people can expect and some of the services which will be available on the day:

The Bare Walls Art Gallery next to the statue will be displaying an installation featuring rarely seen photographs of Lemmy in their space along with other memorabilia.

Later in the evening, Grumpy’s bar will host A Night of Music to Celebrate the Life of Lemmy, hosting the Motörhead tribute band Motörwrecked, as well as hosting an auction of exclusive items supplied by Motörhead’s record label and merchandise companies. The auction is practically sold out, but a very limited number of wristbands has been held back for fans and will be available on a first-come-first-served basis on the day from the event office, which can be found at The Old Post Office Bar, costing £10. No sleep til Grumpy’s! https://www.grumpys.uk
There will also be exclusive merchandise available at The Old Post Office.

Music Mania will also be hosting an event at the Mitchell Arts Centre in Hanley from 7.30pm to 10.30pm featuring Motörhead tribute band Motörheadache, with tickets at £18. Fans can head to https://musicmaniauk.com/event/motorheadache/ for further details.

For those driving to the event, parking will be available at Port Vale Football Club, a 7 minute walk away, and if arriving by train, Ace Taxis will be available to get from the station to the event via 01782 822228.

For those who need accommodation, special rates are available at the DoubleTree by Hilton Stoke-On-Trent via Lemmy2025 rates. Call +44 1782 609988 or go to https://hil.tn/0mcah9 .
