THE WORD66 Release New Single ’37 Miracles’ with New Vocalist

Rock band The Word66 is back with a powerful new single “37 Miracles,” available now across all streaming platforms. The song marks an exciting new chapter for the band, featuring bass legend Danny Miranda—renowned for his work with Queen and Blue Öyster Cult—and the addition of a new vocalist. “37 Miracles” is the title track from their upcoming five-song CD, due out this year.

“’37 Miracles’ is a song emphasizing a message of hope, faith, peace, kindness, and unconditional love, neatly wrapped up in bow of metal goodness,” says the band.

In addition, the band has entered into a partnership with Paul Crosby, former drummer of the multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated band Saliva. Crosby’s management is expected to further elevate The Word66’s reach in the industry, ensuring their signature blend of rock resonates with an even wider audience.

The Word66 has garnered global recognition, with all but one of their tracks reaching #1 somewhere in the world. The band has been featured worldwide on numerous radio shows and interviews and they’ve also earned impressive accolades, finishing in the top 10 of several high-profile music contests, including America’s Next Top Hitmaker, sponsored by Rolling Stone Magazine.

With “37 Miracles,” The Word66 is poised to continue their momentum, offering a blend of faith-driven rock with deeply personal messages.

A hard rock band on a mission to spread hope, peace, and love with rocking melodies and positive lyrics—coming from a place deep within their hearts. In a recent review, they were called “Gospel-spreading Las Vegans set off on a journey to glory.” But don’t let the title fool you—their signature sound rocks as hard as your favorite bands.

Founded in 2018 by veteran guitarist Steve Scott, who eventually recruited Lance Crane and newest rocker Carlos Zemma, with special guest bassist Danny Miranda, the band is inspired by artists including Black Sabbath, Shinedown, Creed, Disciple, and Thousand Foot Krutch, to name a few.

The band’s latest record is a five-song CD called 37 Miracles. Once again, they’ve enlisted the talents of iconic rocker Danny Miranda to lay down more epic bass lines—just as he did on the band’s last EP, Rock & Roll Preaching. Their debut single, “On the Way to the Promise Land,” along with all but one track, has reached #1 on various radio station playlists throughout the world.

Steve had lost his way—and his love for playing music—for many years, until he realized his purpose. He stated, “We all have a purpose in life. It took a while to understand ours.”

The band’s purpose is to write music that delivers meaningful messages people may need to hear. Steve added, “We just write some good rock ’n’ roll with positive lyrics. We like to think that, in some cases, we’re adding some light to the darkness.”

The Word66 continues to unveil an original sound that is edgy yet commercially accessible—bringing catchy melodies with thought-provoking lyrics. Their music has been quoted as delivering “a 1-2 punch,” and humbly, “If STRYPER are past their halcyon days now, THE WORD66 are only beginning to rise and shine.”

STYGIAN FAIR Unveil First Single ‘Abide Your Master’ from Upcoming Album “The Hidden Realm”

Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: STYGIAN FAIR. Leave a comment

Swedish metal outfit Stygian Fair return with a brand-new single titled “Abide Your Master”, now available on all digital platforms. The track offers a first taste of their forthcoming full-length album, “The Hidden Realm” slated for release via Rockshots Records.

With a strong discography that includes “Panta Rei” (2018), “Nadir” (2020), “Equilibrium” (2021) and the critically acclaimed “Aradia” (2023), Stygian Fair continue to carve out their own path, defying trends and embracing pure, emotionally resonant metal.

“Abide Your Master” takes on the dangers of blind obedience — of abandoning your conscience to follow a demagogue without question. Heavy, urgent and unflinching, it asks what happens when we stop thinking for ourselves… and start worshipping the very force that’s leading us over the edge.

While details about “The Hidden Realm” remain under wraps, the album sees Stygian Fair pushing further than ever before — more direct, more melodic, and more accessible without losing the edge that defines them. They’ve sharpened both their sound and their message; the songs hit faster, dig deeper, and speak louder.

Lyrically, “The Hidden Realm” explores everything from political collapse and mass delusion to natural disaster, ancient mysteries, and inner reckoning. It’s a record about the worlds we ignore, the truths we tend to bury, and the consequences of silence.

For fans of Tad Morose, Memento Mori, and those who long for metal with both weight and heart, “Abide Your Master” is a compelling invitation into the world of Stygian Fair—a world where music is crafted with intention, passion, and no compromises.

We’re opening a door. Welcome inside.

Wormholedeath is proud to announce the signing of the Colombian Groove Death Metal act BRINICLE for the release of their album “Perceptions of Reality”.

Hailing from Bogotá, Colombia, Brinicle merges the raw power of Groove and Death Metal with world music influences, creating a dynamic and thought-provoking sonic experience. Their lyrics, deeply inspired by literature and philosophy, elevate their music beyond mere aggression—offering listeners a journey through introspection and existential reflection.

A Sound That Transcends Boundaries

Brinicle’s rhythmic foundation is built on groove-driven intensity and crushing death metal ferocity, while their melodies and harmonies—woven through guitars, vocals, and intricate instrumentation—flow seamlessly, shaped by the diverse musical backgrounds of each member. This fusion results in a sound that is more than just the sum of its parts—a visceral and cerebral experience that challenges the listener to think, feel, and awaken.

Perceptions of Reality: A Deep Dive into the Human Condition

Perceptions of Reality is an auditory exploration of consciousness, blending Groove and Technical Death Metal with world music and each member’s distinctive artistic vision. Built through a fully collaborative process, the album delivers a raw yet melodic balance, seamlessly shifting between pummeling intensity and expressive harmonies.

Thematically, Perceptions of Reality is an invitation to reflect on the fleeting nature of existence, a concept woven through philosophical musings, personal experiences, and intricate storytelling. Each track serves as a mirror, challenging the listener to question, explore, and embrace their reality.

With this release, Brinicle not only marks a new chapter in their artistic evolution but also cements their place as an innovative force in modern metal, pushing genre boundaries while staying true to their underground roots.

NIGHTFALL Release In-Studio Performance of ‘With Outlandish Desire to Disobey’

Nightfall have stood alongside Rotting Christ and Septicflesh as the pillars of Greek metal since the early ’90s. But now, Efthimis Karadimas and his Athenian band of rebels have once again returned from the shadows to unite blackened souls everywhere with Children of Eve, the darkest and most epic creation in their pantheon-level discography.

“One of the best releases of the year”, writes Metal Temple in a perfect 10/10 review of Children of Eve. “It’s sinister, morbid, darkened, aggressive, it’s a Nightfall release!”

“I think the first two things that anybody who listens to this record will say is that it’s heavy and it’s epic”, A&P Reacts says.

“I love how this album came out”, Efthimis says. “We’re excited to play these songs live. The sound is massive. The choruses are huge. And there’s a message that comes through. It’s an album about how we come through pain, how we live with pain, and how we die in pain”.

Children of Eve is out today on Season of Mist.

Join Nightfall for a nite in the studio as they perform their new album’s mighty, melodic anthem “With Outlandish Desire to Disobey”.

With Children of Eve, Nightfall are ready to bless the world stage with hell-raising blackened death metal. After all, the band do hold the title as the first Greeks to not only sign an international record deal but perform at Wacken Open Air. Their new album was mixed by Jacob Hansen, who’s helped Volbeat, Amaranthe and The Black Dahlia Murder crank their metallic fury to arena levels.

This weekend, Nightfall are celebrating the arrival of their new album in front of their faithful following at the 10th annual Horns Up Festival in Trikala, Greece. Later this summer, they’ll set upon Romania for a Dark Bombastic Evening.

Rising to the rafters on the strength of a gothic melody that’s as sharply curved as an Ancient Greek blade, “With Outlandish Desire to Disobey” is bound to unite the blackened masses. Chugging riffs whip into thunderous tremolo picking as ex-Septicflesh drummer Fotis Benardo gallops on the double with stadium-shaking blast beats. “Myriads and myriads abandoned souls“, Efthimis growls with utter disdain for his overzealous rulers. “Among them, I found yours“.

“This song is about walking your own path in life”, Efthimis says. “It’s about not trusting a word that’s coming out of the mouth of our deceivers, not trusting their promises for a better tomorrow when today is yet another day of suffering. We may choose the wrong way, but it is our damn choice”.

Children of Eve was born out out of anger at overzealous rulers around the world, but the message behind Children of Eve is deeply personal. When Nightfall retreated amongst the shadows during their 2010’s hiatus, Efthimis was diagnosed with depression. He now wears a black mask that covers half of his face to show what it’s like to live under the invisible veil of mental illness.

“Mental illness can lead to self-isolation”, says Efthimis, a stigma he’s now fighting through Metal Music against Depression, a new initiative that he’ll be speaking about during his two upcoming panels at Athens Music Week. The video for “With Outlandish Desire to Disobey” was filmed at Sierra Studios in Athens, Greece by Bob Katsionis. Camera assistance provided by Alexander Haritakis.

For more than three decades, Nightfall have stood alongside Rotting Christ and Septicflesh as the pioneering trinity of Greek metal. The legendary Athenian death metal band sound as vengeful as ever. But backed by monumental production and a powerful message, their eleventh studio album stands as their darkest and most epic creation yet. Children of Eve is here to unite blackened souls everywhere.

“I love how this album came out”, Nightfall’s founder Efthimis Karadimas says. “We’re excited to play these songs live. The sound is massive. The choruses are huge. And there’s a message that comes through. It’s an album about how we come through pain, how we live with pain, and how we die in pain”.

A Living Legacy of Greek Metal

Since their formation in 1991, Nightfall have remained a beacon for Greek metal. “Well, here is one of the rare, original bands”, wrote Angry Metal Guy. Like the scorching sun over their homeland, the Athenians rose from the underground alongside Rotting Christ and Septicflesh, though they were the first to sign an international record deal.

“Nightfall proves with “Children of Eve” that they’re fairly considered as one of the pioneers of the Hellenic Metal scene” says Rotting Christ frontman Sakis Tolis. “The fact that they create wonderful albums like this one make them legends that still have things to say! Congratulations for this new creation!”

Over the years, the crew around Efthimis has changed frequently. But while Nightfall did enjoy a short but successful stint with Metal Blade Records in the early 2010s, their strong bond with Holy Records during the ’90s established a deep connection between the Greek and French metal scenes. That legacy  continues with the band’s current label Season of Mist.

“Nightfall deserve great credit for persistence and determination”, Blabbermouth wrote upon the eve of At Night We Prey. “For fans of face-ripping gloom, [their] sizeable catalogue remains eminently worthy of exploration”.

Monumental Production

Like their contemporaries, Nightfall weave gothic melodies into blackened death metal. Children of Eve features the most infectious collection of hooks that the band has ever created, though their disdain for the dominance of the Eastern Orthodox Church has only deepened over the years. The ongoing rise across the globe of so-called “holy wars” fueled their latest rebellion.

“Anger was the root”, Efthimis explains about the inspiration behind Children of Eve. The band’s veteran leader commands the stage with cloak and dagger, but the album’s lead single pulls no punches. “I am the son of night, notorious bastard”, he roars as an eerie choir echoes like the call of a siren. As if summoned from Olympus, former Septicflesh drummer Fotis Benardo unleashes his attack like a swarm of venomous arrows.

“Faith is a personal matter”, Efthimis continues, “but it can become a dirty business”.

To amplify their message, Nightfall enhanced the entire production of Children of Eve. Efthimis and Fotis took charge of the production with assistance from InnerWish guitarist Thimios Krikos. Meanwhile, Jacob Hansen – who worked with Volbeat, Amaranthe and The Black Dahlia Murder – handled the mixing and mastering. For the artwork, the band turned to Eliran Kantor, who’s renowned paintings have graced the covers of albums by Testament, Kreator and Helloween.

A Powerful Message

Look at the tracklist and it’s evident that “I Hate” takes aim at the consistent influence of organized religion. “The Traders of Anathema” raises its axe in honor of Judas Iscariot, featuring two blistering guitar solos from Kostas Kyriakopoulos. However, Children of Eve wouldn’t bear the mark of Nightfall without a deeper message.

“Death’s Spiritual Healing deeply influenced me”, Efthimis says. “At the time, its social message was so advanced for the genre”. While “The Cannibal” bursts with divine tremolo picking, its lyrics explore how religious structures and fanaticism can devour you. “I hold the power / to explain your screams“, Efthimis howls with chilling intensity.

During Nightfall’s most recent hiatus, Efthimis was diagnosed with depression. Now, he wears a black mask to cover half of his face, symbolizing what it’s like to live under the invisible veil of mental illness. “When you have demons in your mind, you’re not always an ideal companion”, he admits. “That stigma can lead to isolation”.

Now, Nightfall are encouraging fellow metalheads to speak up. The band have launched a new initiative called Metal Music Against Depression (MMaD), which is supported by European Alliance Against Depression in Germany. “We can talk about this. We can sing about it. We can build a community that’s based on understanding”, Efthimis says.

With Children of Eve, Nightfall return from the shadows to unite blackened souls everywhere with their darkest and most epic creation yet.

The GRAMMY Award-winning group, celebrating their 25th anniversary, recorded Cometh the Storm at GodCity Studio in Salem, Massachusetts with producer Kurt Ballou. The 11-song effort – the band’s ninth studio album – marked the release of the first new High on Fire music since 2018’s Electric Messiah and the first to feature drummer Coady Willis (Big Business, Murder City Devils), alongside bassist Jeff Matz, and guitarist/vocalist Matt Pike.

It has been more than five years since the band’s revered Electric Messiah earned High on Fire ‘Best Metal Performance’ at the 2019 GRAMMY Awards, placing the unit among the ranks of groups such as Black Sabbath, Motörhead, and Metallica as winners of the prestigious award. “Being nominated for a Grammy was pretty mind blowing, but winning one was truly surreal,” says bassist Jeff Matz. “A Grammy win was certainly not something we were aiming for, but it’s quite an honor to be recognized in that way, and we are grateful. In terms of how it’s affected us, it has definitely opened some new doors—we’ve gained some new fans and wider recognition, but it hasn’t changed how we approach our craft. We’ve always tried to create uncompromising music that feels good to us, and is in line with what we would want to listen to.”

In the half decade since the band’s Grammy nod, the world has seismically shifted and is a different place. The same can be said for High on Fire. The band’s musical archetype has been modded, morphed, and evolved; its blast radius widened. Bassist Jeff Matz joined Mutoid Man and traveled abroad to study and learn the techniques of Middle Eastern folk music and the plucked string instrument, the bağlama (or saz), Matt Pike formed a solo band, released an LP, and toured the U.S., and world-renowned percussionist, Coady Willis, he of Melvins, Big Business, and Murder City Devils united with Pike and Matz to breathe new life into the group a quarter century into their captivating career.

Universally recognised as one of the most potent acts in music today, High on Fire creates dynamic metal that merges primal fury and aggression, hesher bombast and hall of fame heaviness. Described as “a supersonic exercise in conquest by volume,” High on Fire has rewritten the hard rock rule book since their formation in 1998, forging a style and sound that is both critically celebrated and unique. The group features vocalist and cult guitar hero Matt Pike (also a founding member of the famed underground band SLEEP) singular bassist Jeff Matz, and powerhouse drummer Coady Willis.

Track-list:
1. Lambsbread (5:45)
2. Burning Down (6:13)
3. Trismegistus (5:36)
4. Cometh The Storm (6:12)
