DEMONOLOGISTS is an industrial blackened noise / horror electronics duo from Indiana, consisting of Cory Rowell and Evan Price.

DEMONOLOGISTS sound embraces a range of darker music styles, spanning industrial, EBM, noise, goth, experimental, dark ambient, etc., always dark and sinister, often blended and delivered with a sci -fi / horror influence.

At times intense and suffocating, and always with an ominous overtone. “Rakshasa” takes a few stabs at a social commentary on a world that has been overrun and possessed by man, with a never-ending desire for self destruction and death.

The band commented on the new album: “This is not just an album, but describes the attitude of the band. The album is intended to show that handmade rock music still has a firm place in society. With old craftsmanship and modern sound, this work should bring together younger and older people all over the world to share their passion.”

Imagine a smoky room, the scent of freshly tapped beer in the air, and a crowd raising their glasses as classic rock chords tear through the atmosphere. This is the world of Rock-Out, a band that embraces the raw energy of rock music in its purest form.

With a no-frills attitude, loud riffs, and a passion that spills over every chord, Rock-Out brings authentic, gritty rock back to the stage – direct from Switzerland to any venue ready to be shaken to its core.

Formed in 2012, Rock-Out released their first album in 2018, “Loud, Hard and Dirty”, a debut that quickly marked them as a force to be reckoned with in the Swiss rock scene. Two years later, they dropped their second album, “Stand Together”, raw, direct, and full of Swiss rock spirit.

Their big break came in 2022, when they performed a prime-time set on Swiss national television (SRF) during a Saturday evening showcase, reaching a massive audience and cementing their status as one of the country’s most exciting live acts. For Florian Badetscher (guitar, vocals), Luca Gfeller (bass), David Bärtschi (drums), and Severin Held (guitar), there’s no safety net, no gimmicks—just pure rock energy.

Since then, Rock-Out has dominated the festival circuit, performing at major rock festivals across Switzerland and Germany, including Summerside, Riverside, and Rock of Ages. They’ve also conquered the club scene, selling out their first club shows and leaving audiences craving more of their powerful, melodic sound.

Rock-Out’s music is straightforward, timeless, and proudly Swiss. Hailing from the Emmental region, the band delivers powerhouse performances that speak louder than words. And at the heart of it all is frontman Florian’s incredible voice, a natural gift that adds a unique, captivating edge to their already thunderous sound.

Rock-Out are set to prove that rock is not dead, taking their high-octane, unapologetically bold music to stages everywhere. With power, confidence, and undeniable grit, Rock-Out is keeping the spirit of rock alive and louder than ever.

Luxembourg/Belgian INSCENDIUM Released Debut EP “The Awakening”

Posted by tarjavirmakari on April 15, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: INSCENDIUM. Leave a comment

INSCENDIUM is the story of four musicians who just couldn’t stay apart. It all started in a small café in Arlon, Belgium, where jam sessions shook the walls every Friday and Saturday night. That place became their second home… until it shut down. Instead of sinking into despair (or founding an association for the reopening of music bars), they decided to start their own band. And that’s how Inscendium was born.

Blending powerful pop rock and hard-hitting melodic metal, the quartet crafts a unique sound influenced by Ice Nine Kills, Falling in Reverse, Ill Niño, Miss May I, and Anthrax. Catchy riffs, a bass that slaps, pounding drums, and a voice shifting between raw power and delicate emotion—this is their secret formula (not patented, but thoroughly tested and approved).

Their lyrics explore themes of rebellion, passionate love, and feminism, delivered with raw energy and unfiltered sincerity.

What makes Inscendium stand out? The perfect balance of four opposing forces. Each member comes from wildly different musical backgrounds (to the point where it’s a mystery how they still get along). Yet, when they play together, the chemistry is undeniable. No compromises needed—everything just flows naturally, creating an authentic and electrifying sound.

On stage, their energy is contagious. They’ve already made their mark in Belgium, France, and Luxembourg, and if they haven’t played on the biggest stages yet, it’s probably because those stages are afraid they won’t survive the impact.

With their debut EP freshly released, Inscendium is ready to set even more stages and speakers on fire. Are you ready to join the ride?

Music for EP was recorded, mixed and mastered by Gerald Jans at Studio Noise Factory (Channel Zero, Fading Bliss, Steelover). Band logo by Marcus James Fern. Cover artwork & photo session was done by Stéphane Boeckx. EP was released on March 14, 2025 on digital format (link here) and CD (buy at official webstore) with cooperation of French label M.U.S.I.C. Records.

TRACKLIST:

1. The Path
2. Redemption
3. A Ray of Hope
4. Self Control
5. Black Rise
6. All Alone

LINE-UP:

Véronique Freres – lead vocals
Marty Poncin – bass guitar
Isaac Smith – drums
Kilian Vivier – guitars

Irish thrash titans Psykosis are back, louder and more unhinged than ever with the announcement of their long-anticipated second album, ‘Mind Games’, which drops independently on May 1st, 2025. A riotous celebration of the album’s release will take place at The Grand Social in Dublin on Saturday, May 10th, with a stacked line-up of Irish metal’s most ferocious names.

Listen to ‘Boiling Point‘ here:

Following their 2016 cult debut Welcome to the Psyko Ward, Psykosis have spent the better part of a decade honing their craft both on and off stage. From tearing up clubs and festival stages across Europe—including a savage showing at Bloodstock Open Air—to sharing bills with some of metal’s most revered names, the Dublin quartet have carved out a reputation for delivering the kind of chaos that leaves crowds sweat-soaked and grinning.

Now, ‘Mind Games’ signals the band’s long-awaited return to recorded carnage. Clocking in at eight bone-rattling tracks, the album is a white-knuckle ride through breakneck speed, snarling vocals, and groove-heavy riff worship. The first single, ‘Boiling Point’, has already ignited a firestorm among fans—offering a taste of what’s to come: raw, relentless, and unmistakably Psykosis.

The official launch show at The Grand Social is shaping up to be an unmissable night for fans of Irish metal. Joining Psykosis on stage will be:
Acid Age – The Belfast-based “War Jazz” trio who’ve recently dropped one of the most blistering albums to come out of the Irish scene in years. Expect mayhem.
AeSect – One of Ireland’s tightest modern metal units, known for their crushing technicality and intensity.
Two Tales of Woe – Dublin’s doom-laden groove merchants, bringing the sludge, the riffs, and the weight.
Entry is just €10 on the door – no advance tickets. Doors open at 6:30pm, and early arrival is highly recommended, as word of this show is spreading fast.

This is more than an album launch—it’s a statement of intent. ‘Mind Games’ sees Psykosis sharpen their blade and step back into the fray, armed with their most aggressive material to date. For anyone who thrives on classic thrash energy laced with a modern punch, this is the kind of chaos you don’t want to miss.

Recorded in both Australia and Spain throughout 2024, the single is pure, unfiltered rock ‘n’ roll, built to get you moving – whether you’re in the pit or your living room.

The track features the blistering guitar work of band founder, guitarist and songwriter Johnny Casino, alongside the unmistakable raw and soulful vocals of original frontman Grant McIver (from the band’s first three albums). Emerging from the Australian underground in the early ’90s, Asteroid B-612 became known for their no-compromise approach to rock, blending Detroit punk energy, Aussie pub rock soul, and garage rock grit. BYZANTINE to Release “Harbingers” Full-Length Album on June 13th, First Video / Single ‘Floating Chrysanthema’ Out Now

Charleston, West Virginia metal veterans BYZANTINE will release their long-awaited new full-length, Harbingers, on June 13th via Metal Blade Records.

Produced by Peter Wichers (Soilwork, All That Remains, Nevermore), Harbingers delivers nine tracks totaling forty-five minutes of deep lyrical wisdom alongside equally hefty riffs delivered seamlessly by one of the most commanding and unsung lineups to emerge from the New Wave Of American Heavy Metal movement in the early 2000s. Now a five-piece for the first time ever featuring Ojeda, alongside former guitarist Tony Rohrbough, bassist Ryan Postlethwait, veteran guitarist Brian Henderson, and drummer Matt Bowles, with Harbingers, BYZANTINE offers the crown jewel in their impressive seven-album discography. Notes founding frontman Chris “OJ” Ojeda, “After twenty-five years of riding the struggle bus, we’re ready to show the rock and metal world what we’re truly about.”

The album cover, designed by mixed-media artist Ashley Hoey, beautifully depicts Irene of Athens – the mother of Emperor Constantine and the first female empress of the Byzantine Empire. This focus on a maternal ruler eloquently ties into the album’s title, Harbingers, which means “ones who usher in great change.”

The record’s first single, “Floating Chrysanthema,” envisions a bleak dystopian future where artificial intelligence becomes sentient and overpowers mankind, essentially enslaving us all. “Our bassist Ryan brought this song to the band,” says Ojeda, “and we thought it hit like a sledgehammer making it the perfect introduction to our new music. Peter Wichers had a big hand in helping craft this song into its final iteration.”

Harbingers will be released on CD and digital formats. Find pre-orders at: metalblade.com/byzantine

Harbingers Track Listing:
01. Consequentia
02. A Place We Cannot Go
03. Floating Chrysanthema
04. The Clockmaker’s Intention
05. Riddance
06. Harbinger
07. The Unobtainable Sleep
08. Kobayashi Maru
09. Irene

It has taken years of ups and downs for BYZANTINE to reach the point of creating Harbingers. Discovered early on by Lamb Of God‘s Chris Adler, the band quickly released their debut full-length, The Fundamental Component, in 2004. The record boasted a raw fusion of Bay Area thrash and Southern-tinged groove metal and set the tone for their future sound. Their 2005-released …And They Shall Take Up Serpents offering marked an even more blistering evolution. However, turmoil ultimately led to BYZANTINE‘s breakup, announced just one day after the release of their third album, 2007’s prophetic Oblivion Beckons.

Reforming to release the independent albums Byzantine (2013) and To Release Is To Resolve (2015), the band saw the latter dominate SiriusXM’s Hard Attack Devil’s Dozen for weeks, also earning them the #1 spot on CMJ’s Loud Rock Chart. Notably, BYZANTINE became only the second independent band to achieve this feat following Clutch‘s indie release, Earth Rocker.

In 2017, BYZANTINE made their Metal Blade debut with The Cicada Tree, faultlessly merging multiple genres into their progressive groove sound, a signature blend now synonymous with the band. With Harbingers raising the stakes and a revitalized lineup in place, Ojeda confidently states, “If you’ve slept on BYZANTINE for the past twenty-five years, Harbingers will awaken you.”

BYZANTINE:
Chris Ojeda – vocals
Brian Henderson – guitar, vocals
Tony Rohrbough – guitar
Ryan Postlethwait – bass, vocals
Matt Bowles – drums
