HATE Unleash Video for Title Track of Upcoming Album “Bellum Regiis”

Slavic black/death metal titans HATE are pleased to unleash the title track of their forthcoming new full-length, Bellum Regiis, set to drop on May 2nd on Metal Blade Records.

With a dozen ferocious and lauded albums since 1996’s Daemon Qui Fecit Terra, HATE‘s lucky thirteenth album, Bellum Regiis, finds the unrelenting Polish quartet forging a bolder and more aggressive style than ever. Bellum Regiis‘ nine songs see vocalist/guitarist ATF Sinner, guitarist Domin, drummer Nar-Sil, and bassist Tiermes honing a modern sound rife with eerie atmosphere and depth. Produced by David Castillo (Candlemass, Carcass, Dark Tranquillity,Katatonia) at Stockholm’s Grondahl Studio, Bellum Regiis is lyrically a more “humanity focused and personal” album than 2021’s Rugia while its songs are timely aural and visual exploration of, according to the vocalist, “a struggle for power and everything that comes with it.”

Watch / Stream HATE’s “Bellum Regiis” HERE

Bellum Regiis roughly translates to “A War of Royalty” or “A War of Kings” and the title track encompasses the LP’s leitmotif. “As a song, ‘Bellum Regiis’ has both a deep melancholy and a sense of grandeur,” notes the frontman. “The vocals laid down by Eliza Sacharczuk [a renowned singer and voice teacher who runs a holistic arts center in Bialystok] give the song a strong sense of time. Whether that’s nostalgia, reminiscence, regret, or preparation for the future is in the eye of the beholder. These wars, these struggles, have been ongoing since the dawn of our existence. Whether they are futile or not, they are scars on our very nature. ‘Bellum Regiis’ represents the whole album in the best way possible.”

Forged in Warsaw in 1990, HATE has been hailed as a “hallmark of consistency,” and praised as a “sleek and tight death metal monster.” Since 2017’s Tremendum, the band has focused on nature and its mysteries as a main source of inspiration. As Sinner explains, “Whether that’s the nature within us, around us or that we see from afar, the perspectives gained and how they relate to different overarching themes have driven each album.” For instance, 2019’s Auric Gates of Veles focused on death, the Slavic perception of death in particular. Six years later, Bellum Regiis delves into “humanity and why are we, as creatures, so deeply motivated by concepts like power, wealth, glory and faith. The main theme is a struggle for power and everything that comes with it.” Fans may notice some commonality between Erebos and Bellum Regiis in the character of the compositions and overall sound, with Bellum Regiis being richer in style and with more black-metal elements to it. “Between female vocals, orchestration, samples, acoustic guitars, there are a lot of moving pieces that help set this album apart,” says Sinner. “My vocals have also changed quite a bit over the years. They’re more nuanced and wider-ranging, able to portray emotions and meanings in a more powerful way.“

HATE will join Venom Inc. and Krisiun for a European tour later this Spring. In October, the band will support Vltimas on a Latin American tour followed by a short run of headlining shows through Poland in November. See all confirmed dates below.

DARKFLOW Release New Single And Video ‘Press The Button’ from Forthcoming Album “Imminent End”, Feat. Andy LaRocque

Swiss Goth / Horror / Shock Metal band DARKFLOW have released their latest single “Press The Button”, a harrowing and theatrical descent into apocalyptic madness. The track marks the second release from the band’s highly anticipated new album Imminent End, out May 2025.

Produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Andy LaRocque (legendary guitarist of King Diamond) at Sonic Train Studio in Sweden, Imminent End is a concept album that takes listeners through a dark and chaotic vision of the world’s collapse. LaRocque not only helmed the production but also contributes a blistering guest solo on the epic track “The Last Symphony.” Brian Bendahan did the orchestration of all the songs.

The new single “Press The Button” features guest Ed Nicod on rhythm guitars and bass(Algebra, Impure Wilhelmina). The band explains:

“This is a brutal and apocalyptic track where General Sean Horror, the General from hell, manipulates a global leader into launching all nuclear bombs. Instead of pressing the button himself, he revels in psychological torment, forcing his victim to do it. As God descends to destroy Earth, Sean Horror races to bring the end first—proving that hell always wins. Dark, theatrical, and relentless, this song is pure devastation set to music.”

The forthcoming album Imminent End explores themes of divine judgment, human depravity, and cosmic destruction. DARKFLOW crafts a world where each track reveals a different path to ruin—tsunamis, wars, existential despair—culminating in a battle between heaven’s wrath and hell’s vengeance.

“This album is about the world’s end, each track a vision of how everything falls apart. I embody Sean Horror, returning from hell to destroy the Earth before God can. It’s a race for apocalypse. ‘Press The Button’ finds Sean forcing a powerful man to unleash nuclear chaos. And the final song, ‘Whistles From The Sky,’ is my laughter as I’ve outdone God—winning the destruction of mankind and ushering in the end of all civilization.”

With Imminent End, DARKFLOW cement their place as masters of sonic horror, blending goth, shock metal, and theatrical narrative into a terrifying and unforgettable experience.

SPACE OF VARIATIONS Unveil Heavy-Hitting Single + Official Video ‘Doppelgänger’

Ukrainian metalcore force SPACE OF VARIATIONS strike with a sonic attack, delivering crushing new single “DOPPELGÄNGER” – an explosive outburst that blends modern heaviness with emotional depth. The track delivers a powerful blend of groovy distorted guitars and unrelenting intensity, contrasted by haunting melodic passages and subtle electronic texture.

Accompanied by an official music video, “DOPPELGÄNGER” marks the band’s first release of 2025, following the impactful singles “TRIBE” and “LIES” in 2024.  While the former releases brought furious brutality and an emotionally driven dynamic, the hard-hitting new single continues to push the boundaries of modern metalcore and delivers yet another facet of SPACE OF VARIATIONS’ ever-evolving sound.

The band recently hit the road with iconic nu-metal outfit P.O.D., serving as the direct support on three explosive shows and solidifying their reputation as one of the most electrifying live acts emerging from Eastern Europe. Currently bringing their high-octane live energy to fans in cities across Europe, SPACE OF VARIATIONS are not to be missed – catch them on tour and check out the new single “DOPPELGÄNGER”, now available on all streaming platforms worldwide.

SPACE OF VARIATIONS about “DOPPELGÄNGER”:
This song is about the ongoing inner dialogue between the most beautiful version of yourself and the most ugly. About how one part of you cannot accept the other and creates more inner conflicts. Doppelgänger is a character in mythology — a shadowy double of a person, often seen as a reflection of one’s inner duality. This character reflects the vibe of the song. Instrumentally, the song splits into two parts, kind of emphasizing the distance between these two characters.

SPACE OF VARIATIONS stormed into the underground metalcore scene, leaving a mark that instantly sparked a hunger for more. Known for their fearless genre-blending and forward-thinking sound, the band’s songwriting defies expectations—fusing raw power with a futuristic edge. Their latest full-length album, IMAGO (2022), captures this unpredictable and emotionally charged essence, reflecting a band in constant motion, crashing through boundaries at full speed. With two acclaimed albums under their belt and twice crowned as Ukraine’s best metal band, SPACE OF VARIATIONS brought their high-voltage live performance to stages across Europe alongside modern metal giants Jinjer.
