LEADFEATHER release new single ‘Troubled Man’ on 25th September, new EP “Catch The Silvertrain” is out 23rd October. The band also release their exclusive Vinyl release ‘Super Deluxe’ on 5th December, featuring both EPs ‘Roll The Dice’ and ‘Catch The Silvertrain’.

“Troubled man is the bluesiest yet the heavier track of the ep, that alternates psychedelic and desert sounding verses with heavy choruses that remind to the ball and chain hammering rhythm. Once again Leadfeather brought their own twist on something that can be defined as “Leadfeather style blues rock.”

Leadfeather are a UK-based hard rock band blending raw riff-driven energy, cinematic atmosphere and emotionally charged songwriting. Formed in 2024 by guitarist and songwriter Simon Hurts, the band combines the spirit of classic heavy rock with a darker and more modern sound. Their music balances aggressive guitars, dynamic arrangements and powerful vocals, creating songs designed both for loud stages and immersive listening experiences.

Following the strong reception of their debut EP ‘’Roll The Dice’, praised for its raw energy, vintage-inspired sound and powerful performances, Leadfeather return with a heavier, darker and more cinematic new chapter: “Catch The Silvertrain”. The new EP pushes the band further into modern hard rock territory while maintaining the emotional intensity and analog spirit that defined their debut releases.

SATAN TAKES A HOLIDAY Revisit the Songs That Shaped Them on New Album “Covering Our Tracks”, Out This Week

Swedish rock powerhouse Satan Takes A Holiday release their new album Covering Our Tracks on September 18 via Icons Creating Evil Art – the culmination of a year-long project exploring the songs, artists and scenes that helped shape one of Sweden’s most distinctive rock bands.

Pre-Order the album here

What began with the release of Covering Our Tracks: Part 1 has unfolded in real time over the past year, revealing a series of carefully chosen interpretations spanning generations and genres. More than a collection of covers, the album is a bold reimagining of rock history itself. By reshaping influential songs with their signature blend of garage rock, punk attitude and modern edge, Satan Takes A Holiday treat the past and present alike as raw material: something to challenge, energize and make entirely their own.

The result is an album that moves effortlessly between Bruce Springsteen, The Ramones, Suicide, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Dirtbombs, Link Wray and Charli XCX, while somehow sounding unmistakably like Satan Takes A Holiday throughout.

From the stark tension of Springsteen‘s State Trooper to the euphoric indie-rock sweep of Suicide‘s Dream Baby Dream, the band continuously push each song into new territory without losing sight of what made it special in the first place.

Their version of Charli XCX‘s Good Ones transformed a sleek, hook-driven pop track into a raw and driving indie rock cut with a sharp punk edge. Retaining the irresistible melody and emotional tension of the original, the band amplified the grit, distortion and urgency, creating one of the album’s most immediate moments.

“Charli first came onto my radar in 2011 with her debut EP Stay Away, possibly via our mutual collaborator, producer Patrik Berger,” Fred explains. “However it happened, I’ve been hooked ever since. And when Good Ones dropped a few years ago, it went straight into my STAH folder of potential covers.”

Elsewhere, the band tackle one of alternative music’s most revered songs with Dream Baby Dream.

“Dream Baby Dream, the greatest song in the world. It just is. A mad undertaking, but we couldn’t help ourselves. And with the greatest song in the world, the result could only be something different. Even for us.”

Rather than recreating Suicide‘s minimalist masterpiece, Satan Takes A Holiday expanded its dreamlike atmosphere into something larger, louder and more cinematic, building towards soaring indie-rock crescendos while preserving the hypnotic pulse that made the original so enduring.

The album’s focus track, Say No To Women, occupies a particularly important place within the band’s musical history. Originally recorded by Swedish punk legends Henry Fiat’s Open Sore and never widely available on streaming services, the song comes from a band that all three members of Satan Takes A Holiday considered among their absolute favourites long before forming STAH themselves. Its inclusion serves as both tribute and acknowledgment of a crucial influence on the band’s DNA (Stefan from HFOS has produced three of STAH’s albums).

The album also revisits songs that have accompanied Satan Takes A Holiday since the very beginning. Discussing their version of Yeah Yeah Yeahs‘ Bang, the band reflected on the song’s role in their earliest days together:

“BANG was one out of a handful of songs we first played together, as calibrating measure, before starting to write songs as STAH. Yeah Yeah Yeahs – as important to the fabric of our band as The Sonics, Johnny Kidd and The Cramps. The fuzz, the mess and the swaggering vocals. We haven’t played it since those first shows and were delighted to rediscover it.”

That sense of rediscovery runs throughout Covering Our Tracks. The album is not simply a celebration of favourite songs, but a map of the influences, obsessions and unexpected connections that helped form Satan Takes A Holiday‘s musical identity. From punk and proto-punk to indie rock, garage rock and pop, the band reveal a shared spirit running through every track: energy, attitude and the transformative power of a great song.

As Covering Our Tracks reaches its conclusion, Satan Takes A Holiday reinforce their position as one of Sweden’s most dynamic and adventurous rock acts – honoring the lineage of rock and pop while carving out their own path forward.

Tracklist:
01. Gettin’ Away with Murder (Baby Grande)
02. State Trooper (Bruce Springsteen)
03. Good Ones (Charli XCX)
04. I Can’t Stop Thinking About It (The Dirtbombs)
05. You’re the One That I Want (John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John)
06. Rumble! (2026) (Link Wray)
07. Today Your Love, Tomorrow the World (The Ramones)
08. Say No To Women (Henry Fiat’s Open Sore)
09. Bang (Yeah Yeah Yeahs)
10. Dream Baby Dream (Suicide)

Over the years, Satan Takes A Holiday have built a strong international following through extensive touring across Europe and high-profile support slots with acts such as KISS, The Sonics, Juliette Lewis, Backyard Babies and Imperial State Electric. Their releases have earned praise from Classic Rock, Louder Sound and Rock Hard, alongside radio support from BBC 6 Music — including spins from Iggy Pop — as well as Sweden’s P3 and Bandit Rock.

OUR CEASING VOICE Unveil New Single & Video ‘Wherever You Are’

A deeply personal song about loss, forgiveness and keeping a memory alive.

Austrian post rock and post metal quartet Our Ceasing Voice return with “Wherever You Are”, the third single taken from their forthcoming album “The Origin of Everything”, due for release on October 2nd, 2026 via Argonauta Records.

Following the previously released singles “Diamond Eyes” and “The Man You Wanted Me To Be”, “Wherever You Are” reveals perhaps the most intimate side of Our Ceasing Voice. Written in the aftermath of a devastating personal loss, the song is a meditation on grief, guilt and the difficult path towards forgiveness.

Vocalist Dominik Dörfler explains:

“When I was faced with the loss of an especially close friend in 2005, something inside me broke and has still not healed to this day, leaving a huge void.”

For years, Dörfler carried the feeling that he could somehow have prevented his friend’s death, a thought that became increasingly difficult to escape.

“This feeling haunted me for so many years and prevented me, in every way, from coming to terms with it.”

Fourteen years after the loss, in 2019, Dörfler finally sat down at the piano and wrote “Wherever You Are”. The song remained untouched for a long time, neither played nor listened to, before the band eventually returned to it while working on “The Origin of Everything”.

Reworking the composition and revisiting its lyrics ultimately became part of a deeply personal process of healing.

“Working on it really helped me cope with this loss, see it in a different light, replace that feeling of anger with a kind of forgiveness toward myself, and immortalize the memory of a beautiful person.”

That sense of emotional transformation lies at the heart of “The Origin of Everything”. While the album looks inward at identity, belonging, memory and the forces that shape who we become, “Wherever You Are” confronts the past directly, turning grief into remembrance and regret into acceptance.

Musically, the song showcases the band’s ability to move between fragile intimacy and expansive post rock intensity, creating a space where melancholy and catharsis coexist. It is another glimpse into an album that sees Our Ceasing Voice pushing beyond their earlier sound while preserving the emotional depth that has defined them since their formation in Innsbruck in 2006.

“The Origin of Everything” will be released on October 2nd, 2026 via Argonauta Records and features eleven songs that trace different paths through memory, identity, longing and transformation.

TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION Deliver Two Shots: ‘Band Of Outlaws’ & ‘Stoned Cowboys’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on September 14, 2026

Twenty five years in, the Pride of Texas, TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION,  is giving their fans a present: not one, but two stunning new releases to whet their Red Dirt appetites.

The band’s ninth and tenth albums respectively, Stoned Cowboys and Band of Outlaws both hit retail outlets today.

Texas Hippie Coalition celebrates 25 years of taking names and kickin’ asses. Now veterans in what frontman BIGDADRITCH likes to call the business of music, the band has decided to start their own record label after being with three others over the years.  BIGDADRECORDS comes out of the gate with an immediacy: the quintet’s ninth album, Stoned Cowboys, is a further drift into their deep country roots with a heavy true outlaw country style. Turning up the twang on songs like “Last of the Outlaws” and newest single, “No Relations,” which would make them old outlaw country men stand up salute and take a shot. “High in the Saddle” is so Texas Country it will leave cattle trail dust in your teeth.

The songs still have some fire and Nevada Romo plays that Tele like a bronco that got rode hard and put up wet while Rado Romo shows he was made for this style of music –  what southerners call suited & booted. Drummer Joey Mandigo comes off like a breeding stud and newcomer guitarist Corban Vincent brings style and flare to the party like a rhinestone cowboy. Don’t let the glitter and glamour fool you, this Red Headed Step Child lays down the law on his debut outing with the band. Living legend, the big myth himself, Big Dad Ritch has his saga continue as his voice serenades, at times making women swoon and men hoot and holler, and delivers in spades, as only the Mouth of the South knows how to. Surely outlaw men of the past would receive him well into their lawless men’s club.

Next out of the gate, the fiery Band of Outlaws, (the tenth release in their canon) is their heaviest and most powerful yet. First single, “Just Like Johnny Cash” was released towards the end of 2025 as a teaser for the full length and instantly became a fan favorite, showing that ten albums in, the Hippies can still deliver. Songs such as “Burning it Down” and “Stomping Mudholes” prove that THC still has the heavy down to a science, while “Lone Star State Line” and “Keep it Nasty” show immediately that this record is pure Texas Hippie Coalition as you’ve always known them. The new single and title track, “Band of Outlaws” is the party that leads to ball room brawls.. This is the southern fried Texas red dirt metal you’ve come to expect from the band and like good bourbon, it’s only getting better with age.

The singles can be found here (“Fire Fire”) and here (“Just Like Johnny Cash”)

On Band of Outlaws, your master of ceremonies, Big Dad Ritch lets loose with a vocal power performance rarely seen as his voice visits both the fiery depths of hell and holy heavens high throughout the album.  Corban Vincent compels his six string to squeal like a pig, making you feel sorry for the Buddy Blaze signature guitar he’s taking to task every night. Bass player Rado Romo commands the bass like he’s a lion tamer and drummer Joey Mandigo hits his kit like it’s kicked his cat. Axemaster Nevada Romo has become Clint Eastwood to Big Dad’s John Wayne making sure both new albums are true to the THC spirit. Reaching new levels in not only his playing but his writing as well, Romo has become a star in his own right.

One would think after a quarter of a century they might think about slowing things down a bit. Not so. After blowing the doors off of Kickstands at Sturgis last month, they’ll be tackling their biggest appearance yet on 19 September when they take the stage at the infamous Louder Than Life festival’s Big Bourbon Bar Stage at 7:00pm. Poor Louisville doesn’t stand a chance of surviving this.
