Hungarian extreme metal force Mors Silens unleashes a furious new lyric video for “Scorn”, a relentless descent into the rot of modern humanity. With searing riffs and unrelenting aggression, the track confronts a world poisoned by hatred, division, and decay, posing a haunting question: When hope is gone and only death remains, will we finally see what we’ve done?
Formed in 2006, Mors Silens blends blistering speed with crushing heaviness. With multiple acclaimed releases—Call of the Nether Realm, World of Pain, and Under the Dark Sun—the band has toured internationally and shared stages with acts like Fleshgod Apocalypse and Kataklysm. Known for explosive live shows and impactful visuals, the band earned 2nd place at the POSADA ROCK Contest in 2021 and continues to evolve without compromise.
Today marks the worldwide release of the new, highly anticipated album “Hamelin” from Greek instrumental progressive rock act KING GARCIA, available now via ViciSolum Productions.
To set the stage for this musical feast, the band is also releasing a new video for the track “Closer”, which you can watch here:
Regarding the album, KING GARCIA commented:
“Hamelin album is for everyone out there living, in communities infested with all types of rats:politicians, aggressors, patriarchs and religious saviors. It is the sound of the distilled emotionof what has happened in our lives. We hope you can join us on this trip, we hope you feel safeand welcome to be yourselves. Let the Pied Piper guide us to the other side“.
KING GARCIA is a quartet that expresses itself purely through instrumental music. Formed in October 2019, the members – Kostas (ex-Mother of Millions), Kamil (POEM), Kornilios (Tardive Dyskinesia), and Alex (Bandallusia) – bring significant experience from their other musical projects. The band crafts instrumental, cinematic music that can range from soothing and warm to dark and atmospheric, ultimately offering a sense of hope.

The inspired collaboration ‘X Gon’ Give It To Ya’ by DMX and Fear Of Water bounds into the Top 20 at 17* this week on the SMR Chart and moves to 30* on the Mediabase Activator Chart.
Dave Perry, the virtuoso songwriter, producer, musician behind Fear Of Water once again shows his genius in collaboration by reimagining DMX’s original hit and making it rage in 2025. Among Fear Of Water’s other hit collaborations are ‘Codependent Parasites’ featuring Elias Soriano of Nonpoint peaking at 10* on the SMR Chart and ‘Systemic’ featuring Aaron Nordstrom of Gemini Syndrome peaking at 7* on the SMR Chart.
Fear of Water is the brainchild of Dave Perry, a multi-talented artist based in Austin, Texas. Born clinically deaf, Perry’s connection to music has been a critical part of his recovery, and his innovative approach to both consuming and creating music has driven his solo project forward. Over the years, Fear of Water has produced some of the most unique collaborations in modern rock, joining forces with names like Clint Lowery (Sevendust), Elias Soriano (Nonpoint), Marcos Leal (Ill Niño), Heidi Shepherd (Butcher Babies), Aaron Nordstrom (Gemini Syndrome), and more.
In this remix, Perry, along with acclaimed mixing engineer Eric Emery, breathes new life into DMX’s legendary anthem, combining the rapper’s unmistakable energy with a fresh, heavy sound that’s sure to excite fans of both hip-hop and rock alike.
“DMX always had a metal energy in his voice, so this collaboration felt very organic,” says Perry. “I’m honored to have the opportunity to breathe new life into such a classic, bad-ass song. I wish we could make an entire album together!”
Death metallers DEMONICAL have released their two-track live single “Välkommen Undergång” in February, and today, the Swedish long-runners emerge with a new music video for its sophomore track “Wolverine Blues” – a cover of Entombed‘s and a setlist regular.
Watch the video, here:
The 2-track release is available in its entirety on Spotify, Apple Music and other streaming services here.
“Despite being in Swedish – or maybe because of it – our «Välkommen Undergång» midtempo-banger has become an iconic fan-favorite which always goes down well wherever in the world we play it,” comments DEMONICAL. Therefore, we decided to give it to you as a standalone live single, dedicated to you, our fervent fans, and defenders of deadly metal! In true old-school manner we do also have a B-side on the release, namely a live cover version of «Wolverine Blues» by the undead legends Entombed. This is a track we have often done live during the past years, so we felt it was about time for a digital debut of the latter. Thank you all for riding into battle with us!”
The single’s artwork was created by Seiya Ogino of Ogino Design.
Tracklisting: 1. Välkommen Undergång (Live in Latin America) 2. Wolverine Blues (Live in Latin America)
DEMONICAL was spawned in 2006 by then-former Centinex members, Martin Schulman (bass), Ronnie Bergerståhl (drums) and Johan Jansson (ex-guitars & ex-vocals), with a mission to return to the roots of death metal. The now-fivepiece has made good on that promise with a vengeance, traversing a HM2-beaten path of melodic, Swedish death metal, replete with darkness and brutality. Their 2024’s live album “Victorious Death – Live In Latin America” crowns a discography of seven studio albums and three EPs, interlaced with regular tours. In spring 2024, the “Titans Of Darkness Tour” has taken place and has seen the band journey across Europe with Inquisition, with most of shows sold-out.

TÖRZS, Hungary’s premier instrumental post-rock band, have unveiled new single ‘Levegővétel’. This is the second track released from their upcoming album Menedék, out 16th May via Pelagic Records.
On‘Levegővétel’, TÖRZS embrace elements of post-rock’s harsher, heavier side with a cacophony of driving half-time drums and distorted, open-chord guitars yet still provide brief havens of space for themselves, the song and the listener alike to breathe before the euphoric swell rises anew.
Loosely translating as ‘Refuge’, Menedék sees the freshly bolstered trio in their element; finding shelter, comfort and joy in the act of creative collaboration whilst the storm of day to day life weathers ever on.
A steadfast and admirable mission statement centred on staying true to themselves in the moment, being open to growth and documenting this process as honestly as possible has led to TÖRZS building a reputation as one of Hungary’s most exciting musical collectives. Three stunning albums of organic and perfectly composed contemplation, as well as the band’s transcendental live shows alongside acts including contemporaries We Lost The Sea, Oh Hiroshima, Föllakzoid and more have placed TÖRZS at the forefront of a post-rock movement that prizes the shared experience of band and listener above all else.
The band’s previous full-length release, 2019’s Tükor, was recorded live at Aggteleki Cseppkőbarlang, a UNESCO World Heritage protected cave system, 500 metres below the Aggteleki National Park. Embracing the cave’s utterly unique natural reverb almost as a fourth member led to Tükor receiving critical acclaim, with TÖRZS were subsequently nominated for the HEMI Music Awards 2022 and invited to perform at the likes of Moscow Music Week (2020), The Budapest Showcase Hub (2021) and 2024’s Changeover Festival in Belgrade, Serbia.
Whilst the intervening years have seen unprecedented change on a global scale, TÖRZS too found themselves in a state of flux. The band returned to the more traditional studio setting in 2023, working alongside long-time producer György Ligeti, in order to faithfully capture the intimate energy of songs meticulously crafted together in their small rehearsal space, a far cry from 2019’s subterranean setting. However, having spent countless hours writing, orchestrating and recording the pieces that have become Menedék, the band’s founding drummer Zsombor Lehoczky stepped away from the band and music as a whole. Where this might have been catastrophic for any other band, remaining members Soma Balázs and Dániel Nyitray soon found a connection with Tamás Szijártó, who approached TÖRZS’ music with the same openness to creativity in the moment; not ‘performing’ as such, but simply working together to produce breathtaking, musical escapism away from the daily humdrum.
The album’s themes of shelter, refuge and support resound clearly on lead single ‘Otthon’. Meaning ‘At Home’ in Hungarian, ‘Otthon’ serves as a de facto introduction to the record. The song’s lilting groove, soaring yet soft guitar palette and the band’s signature delicate dynamism all combine to invite the listener to reflect; not steering one way or another yet inviting us to close our eyes and join the flow.
Elsewhere, the pounding, chiming ‘Levegővétel’ proves TÖRZS are still staying true to their mission statement of documenting the inevitable process of change. Here the band embrace elements of post-rock’s harsher, heavier side with a cacophony of driving half-time drums and distorted, open-chord guitars yet still provide brief havens of space for themselves, the song and the listener alike to breathe before the euphoric swell rises anew.
Whilst TÖRZS’ previous full-length effort was a spectacular collision of the band’s tight-knit existence and the (literal) echo chamber of the world outside, Menedék is introspective, understated and refreshingly brave in its honesty. TÖRZS have opened the doors to their inner sanctum, their rehearsal space, their songwriting process, their friendship; inviting us to live in it with them, to revel in the moment together.
Track list: 1. Egy pillanatban a végtelen 2. Levegővétel 3. Átfordul 4. Földet ér 5. Otthon
