Award-winning rock legends The Calling are set to share the stage with the legendary Dolly Parton for two unforgettable nights in Las Vegas on December 12 & 13th.
The Calling, best known for their worldwide hit “Wherever You Will Go”, will bring their signature sound to Sin City in support of one of music’s most beloved and timeless icons.
Frontman Alex Band shares, “I am so honored and grateful to be opening for such a timeless iconic legend! Never in my life did I think I would even meet Dolly Parton, let alone perform before her in Sin City! This is a true privilege.”
The Calling are preparing to release brand new music in 2026!
Formed in 1999, The Calling quickly ascended the ranks of radio rock with their distinctive blend of catchy melodies and heartfelt lyrics. Their debut album Camino Palmero sold more than 10 million copies worldwide and went Platinum in the U.S. and 50+ countries, catapulting the teen rockers to international fame with hits like “Wherever You Will Go” and “Adrienne,” while touting 7 number one singles worldwide.
After a 20-year hiatus, The Calling returns to the forefront of the music scene, poised to captivate listeners once again. With a renewed sense of purpose and creativity, the band is set to unveil their long-awaited new music, promising a sonic journey that will resonate deeply with both loyal fans and newcomers alike. Driven by the powerful, distinct vocals of Alex Band and the masterful instrumentation of guitarist Daniel Damico and Grammy-nominated bassist Dom Liberati, The Calling’s comeback is nothing short of extraordinary. “Ghost From The 80s” is the lead single from THE OTHER’s long-awaited new album “Alienated” – and is fittingly released just in time for Halloween 2025. Europe’s most famous horror punk band delivers the perfect soundtrack for the spooky season already now at the end of September: a catchy tune that no Halloween playlist should be without.
The track combines an extraordinary wave-inspired atmosphere with the band’s signature dark, driving sound – enhanced by unmistakable 80s-style keyboards that fans of the era will immediately embrace.
Singer Rod Usher explains: “The song is inspired by the teen horror classics of the time – Ghostbusters, Gremlins, Beetlejuice, Fright Night, House – and tells the story of a ghost that haunts an old VCR from a flea market and catapults its owner back to the 1980s. Of course, we had to use appropriate keyboards in the chorus – they would have suited bands like Europe or Journey well.”
Cool, campy, and with a hookline to die for, “Ghost From The 80s” is the perfect anthem for the spookiest and most beautiful time of the year.
The accompanying video (directed by Mirko Witzki – Emil Bulls, Caliban, Nachtblut) features comedy writer, podcaster, actor, and musician Jan C. Müller, who stumbles as a haunted hero straight into a wild, colorful 80s party – led, of course, by head ghost Rod Usher and his eerily charming troupe. But who knows: maybe it was all just a nightmare?
“Alienated”, set for release on October 31st, 2025 via Massacre Records, marks THE OTHER’s first album since the chart success “Haunted” (2020). Probably the band’s darkest record to date, it also represents a triumphant return to their classic horror punk sound.
Produced and recorded by Tim Schulte (Massendefekt, Rogers, Callejon, Stefanie Heinzmann), mixed by Arne Neurand (Subway To Sally, ZSK, Guano Apes, Revolverheld) at Horus Studios, and mastered by Olman V. Wiebe (Kreator, Caliban, Sondaschule), the album delivers raw, powerful energy with a hauntingly cinematic edge.
Frontman Rod Usher describes the record as a “back to the roots” album, merging the immediacy of THE OTHER’s early work with the revitalized creativity brought by the return of founding bassist Andy Only, alongside guitarists J. Ends and Van Tom and drummer Jag Boone.
The previous single, “I Give You the Creeps”, has already gained rotation on national and regional rock radio stations, setting the stage for what promises to be THE OTHER’s most ambitious release yet.

Ten years of razor-sharp riffs! Ten years of ferocious speed! Germany’s VULTURE are celebrating their first decade of destruction with a brand-new digital single fittingly titled, “Power Thrash!”
Since their formation in 2015, the high-speed powerhouse has carved its name into the skull of the world’s metal scene. Drawing from the raw aggression of thrash metal’s earliest days, the melodic hymns of the NWOBHM and the spirit of ’70s and ’80s horror and suspense, VULTURE‘s sound is as dangerous as unmistakable. Scorching twin-leads, thundering drums, ear-piercing screams, and a relentless dedication to their craft have made them one of the most exciting and authentic acts in the genre today.
From their infamous debut Victim To The Blade (2016) and its follow up The Guillotine (2017), to the genre-bending Ghastly Waves & Battered Graves (2019), it’s critically acclaimed successor Dealin’ Death (2021), and VULTURE‘s latest full-length Sentinels (2024), VULTURE proves that they’re alive, thrilling, and constantly evolving.
Now, with “Power Thrash,” the band distills a decade of intensity into a short, sharp raid: A celebration of the genre they helped revive and a nod to the roots that shaped them. Fast, fierce and over the top, this track is pure VULTURE – authentic metal made for the diehards. Watch out: The Blade Is Back!
The band comments, “After ten years of VULTURE including eight years under the sign of the Metal Blade, it felt more than necessary to herald the next decade with a proper celebration. Because ‘Power Thrash’ is just that: A celebration to the genre and to the essence of what is VULTURE. Throughout all these years, we’ve constantly tried to evolve, to reshape our sound while remaining deeply rooted in our aesthetics. ‘Power Thrash’ feels like the next step to an even more powerful and deadlier VULTURE than before. Straight to the point, brutal and faster than light!“
