Arizona thrashers HEMOPTYSIS recently won the award from Best Metal/Hardcore Song at the 11th Annual Independent Music Awards for the track “M.O.D.” off their 2001 release Misanthropic Slaughter. A video for the song can be seen below.

The fan voting campaign is still up running and fans have until July 20th to cast their votes at this location. HEMOPTYSIS is in the running for best metal/hardcore album and song.

The band is currently hard at work on the follow-up to the highly-acclaimed Misanthropic Slaughter, which is set for release later this year. Stay tuned for updates.
