November 30th 2023 saw the release of the debut album by death metallers ABYSS OF HEL entitled “Into The Abyss”. The versatile, partly modern and groovy work caused quite a stir, not least because of its high-class line-up, and the first bookings were not long in coming. For example, you can see the band live at this year’s “Heimburger Metalnacht” at the end of July!

The highly anticipated debut of death metallers ABYSS OF HEL entitled “Into The Abyss” will be released on November 30.

In terms of content, the debut depicts the course of a person’s mental breakdown, his descent into the abyss and his realization of an irrefutable reality. The oppressive theme is carried by the intense, provocative and also melodramatic lyrics.

The 10, mostly brute grooving songs, were mixed by Lars Rettkowitz, while Achim Köhler/Indiscreet Audio is responsible for the mastering. With “Devolution” the band now releases a first taste of the longplayer as video on the MDD YouTube channel and as digital single on all download & streaming platforms. ABYSS OF HEL was originally founded as a one-man-project by ex-Thrudvangar guitarist Daniel Stromayer. In the course of time, however, the idea matured to give the whole thing more space and the current quintet gained shape and profile. As a result of this process, “Into The Abyss” is now a surprising and impressive debut album, which will be released on November 30th via MDD Records.

You can expect 10 songs, which on the one hand are based in American Death Metal, but at the same time you can also find Progressive, Punk and even Electro influences. The whole thing was mixed by Lars Rettkowitz, while the mastering was in the hands of Achim Köhler/Indiscreet Audio. A first look at the cover artwork is attached. Stay tuned!

At the end of last year a mysterious project called ABYSS OF HEL appeared on FB for the first time, which at first only revealed that a certain Daniel Stromayer was involved, who is perhaps known to most as the guitarist of the now defunct Thrudvangar.

In January they let the cat out of the bag with the release of a lyric video titled “YRU”: A heavy groove/death metal thunderstorm somewhere between Sepultura and Fear Factory should set the tone for Abyss Of Hel!
