Metal heavyweights ACCEPT have posted a New Year message for fans on their official website. You can read the message in full below:
“ACCEPT has learned, that without YOU – wherever you are – none of what we accomplish could have happened! That is why we feel honored to be YOUR BAND! Long live METAL! For that we want to thank you…. and for YOU, your loved ones & your friends we wish that all your dreams come true… they did for us! We hope, that you will remember the good times we had together as well as the greatest things the ones who are gone before us, left us with: their music and their spirit and their words, where they let us know, they have been there, they have been going through, they have suffered through and they have laughed through the same, we all endure…. all of us! They are our heroes, because they used their time on earth to leave something behind, something that is larger than life: HOPE!!! Hope, that in all of us may be more than we even can imagine! Not only shallow dreams … but REAL DREAMS and the never ending assurance: they CAN COME TRUE! Knowing that changes become less frightening and joy becomes more joyful and most of all – it become easier to share! The New Year is nothing more than a New Year, we write a new number and we celebrate a new beginning and say good bye to the one that just passed for us – with all the wonderful memories! We are super charged and can’t wait to take you with us to the next level of our journey. We started to write a new album and instead of making one long break, we will take a few breaks in 2016 to charge our batteries. Stay tuned for news and another exciting year!”
Heavy metal titans ACCEPT are currently taking Europe by storm with their “Blind Rage Tour Part IV”, performing a one-off UK show at The Forum in London on Monday 7th December. Special guests opening the night’s proceedings were English metallers HELL, featuring of course guitarist Andy Sneap who has also produced the last three ACCEPT albums. The show also marked the first UK appearance since guitarist Uwe Lulis and drummer Christopher Williams joined ACCEPT.
Much to the delight of the crowd, Andy Sneap joined ACCEPT on stage for the classic final song of the night, ‘Balls To The Wall’. You can view some video footage from the show below, as well as a selection of photos on the slideshow below, courtesy of Graham Horne. ACCEPT are thrilled at the enthusiastic reception from fans in all cities, especially the last two shows in London and Paris, where they can clearly see how music unites everyone, fans and musicians alike. They will be back!
Metal heavyweights ACCEPT are back on the road again with their “Blind Rage Part IV” tour, finishing on 16th December in Bulgaria. The stalwarts of the metal world have travelled the globe since the release of their current and 14th album “Blind Rage” in 2014, which hit number one in the charts in Germany and Finland, delivering dynamic performances over and over again to faithful fans, now spanning generations.
Metal Shock Finland Senior Manager Alison Booth also has a radio show, Blackdiamond’s Metal Mayhem, every Tuesday from 6PM on http://www.totalrock.com. She recently had a chat with Wolf, as part of the show’s third birthday celebrations, prior to ACCEPT‘s one-off UK show at The Forum in London on 7th December. Wolf spoke of the forthcoming tour and plans for the follow up to their last album “Blind Rage”. We already posted some news from this interview about Wolf‘s next classical album which you can read about here.
The full show will soon be online at this location and you can listen to the chat with Wolf on the audio player below.
Discussing future plans and when the next ACCEPT album will be unleashed, Wolf explained:
“We’ve been hitting it so hard these last five years. We could’ve already started, but it was so nice not to jump right into the studio after all this touring for Blind Rage.
In January Peter and I will lock ourselves away and the cycle will start again. It’s gonna be ready when it’s gonna be ready, but we’re trying to get something out next year, or something ready next year, recorded.”
ACCEPT are playing their rescheduled show in Paris tonight, 6th December at Le Trianon, but not before stopping at Le Bataclan to pay their respects to those who lost their lives in the recent terror attacks. Of course the band should have been performing at Le Bataclan on 8th December. The band stated via their official Facebook page:
“On the way to our Paris Show tonite at the Trianon Theatre we stopped by the Bataclan to pay our respects to all the people taken from us. We played this venue many times and were supposed to play here on Dec 8th. Standing in front of a sea of flowers & candles touched us deeply. Tonite we rock extra hard in their honor!!!!!”
You can check the rest of the “Blind Rage Part IV” tour dates here.
The next Blackdiamond’s Metal Mayhem on Tuesday 1st December will be a birthday celebration, as it is three years since the show started on TotalRock.
Joining the birthday fun, ahead of their show at The Forum in London on 7th December, will be Wolf Hoffmann from ACCEPT and David Bower from HELL, having a chat about what’s going on with both bands and choosing some of their favourite tracks to play.
