Ahoy, filthy landlubbers: ALESTORM has just landed ashore with a brand new single “Treasure Chest Party Quest”, fresh off of their upcoming album Curse of the Crystal Coconut – out on May 29 via Napalm Records. Captain Christopher Bowes transports the listener right into another world the ALESTORM way – with a lot of bloody good rum underlined by a striking melody and a choir full of drunken sea emperors. They make one thing crystal clear: they will come for your treasure chest while partying so hard they probably won’t even remember they stole your riches. An unmistakably catchy chorus will get you hooked immediately, and a little promise on the side: you won’t get this song out of your head for at least a fortnight.

“Treasure Chest Party Quest” is accompanied by an audiovisual created in typical chaotic and colorful ALESTORM fashion. A wild visual ride through the minds of the “Pirate Metal Drinking Crew” that only they could dream up. Track suits, gambling, sportscars and newborn babies galore… they’re just here to have fun! The “Pirate Metal Drinking Crew” is back to show all the filthy landlubbers what they’re made of. ALESTORM’s sixth long-player, Curse of the Crystal Coconut, will be released on May 29, 2020, via Napalm Records! Eleven tracks presented in ALESTORM’s typical unadulterated, chaotic fashion will pull the rug out from under your feet. Adding to that are guest performances from musical greats like Ally Storch of SUBWAY TO SALLY (violin on the entire album) and Captain Yarrface of RUMAHOY! No matter if you are ready or not, you filthy landlubbers – ALESTORM return in an uncensored, satirical, and glorious manner! Two years after their latest album, No Grave But The Sea, the pirate metal drinking crew will return to the nightmares of all decent sea marauders out there with their brand new conquest, Curse Of The Crystal Coconut, to be released on May 29th, 2020 via Napalm Records.

Known for their signature attitude and unashamedly catchy tunes, the crew, led by Captain Christopher Bowes, is proud to present eleven bombastic pirate anthems, kept in their signature unadulterated, chaotic fashion that will pull the rug out from under your feet.

Breaking the stereotypical portrayal of pirates as the lone wolves of the sea, on Curse of the Crystal Coconut, ALESTORM will be joined by Ally Storch of Subway to Sally (violin on the entire album) and Captain Yarrface of Rumahoy – amongst others! The variety of tracks featured on the album will satisfy even the pickiest adventure seeker and the wildest pirate parties out there. “Chomp Chomp”, featuring vocals of Vreth of Finntroll, may make you never want to enter the open waters again, but will definitely invite you to dance along to ravishing melodies. The Crystal Coconut definitely granted ALESTORM fans their wish: the visionary world travelers have officially entered the recording studio and will return with their upcoming album, Curse of the Crystal Coconut, to be released via Napalm Records in summer 2020. This release will mark the band’s sixth studio album, and promises new anthems bursting with the chaotic energy ALESTORM fans have come to love. Prepare yourself for a level of epic symphonic folk metal insanity that no other band on the high seas could ever aim to touch!

ALESTORM’s latest album, No Grave But The Sea, was a worldwide success – reaching #1 on the US Heatseekers album charts, #14 on the German album charts and other top 20 placements in Austria, New Zealand, Switzerland and Belgium. Grab your best rum, take a swig and hold tight – further album details will be revealed soon (but let’s hope King K. Rool doesn’t steal the demos first).

Anyway, we’ll be here for the next 3 weeks recording 13-ish songs, some of which will be so absolutely terrible that they’ll never see the light of day. 2018 will go down in the history as an important year for KORPIKLAANI. The band celebrated its 15th anniversary, released their 10th album »Kulkija« and finally wrapped up the year with a successful North American tour in December.

2019 will be just as busy. The Finnish Folk Metal Superstars will start the year with an 8-date Finnish tour and will be joined on stage with a brass section from Lahti Sinfonia. With KORPIKLAANI attracting a wide and varied audience, it is especially nice that the tour includes also two all-ages shows at Nosturi in Helsinki and Finlandia Klubi in Lahti. The show in Helsinki will be opened by WALTARI and the Norwegian TROLLFEST, while all Finnish shows will also be supported by PROFANE OMEN who recently released their latest album »Ooka«.

After the Finnish tour, KORPIKLAANI will continue their world wide »Kulkija« -tour with a month-long European run with TURISAS and TROLLFEST and in May, the band will once again head down to Australia and New Zealand.

Just recently, Pyynikin Craft Brewery unveiled a tasty KORPIKLAANI lager and to celebrate this occasion, the band will release a special tour edition of their new album »Kulkija« (“Wanderer”), which doesn’t only include the regular songs, but also a bonus CD titled »Beer Beer«. This disk, only available in the physical package, includes 14 versions of KORPIKLAANI‘s iconic song ‘Beer Beer’, graced by the likes of Christopher Bowes (ALESTORM), Steve “Zetro” Souza (EXODUS), Andreas “Gerre” Geremia (TANKARD), Jesper Anastasiadis (TURISAS), TROLLFEST, HEIDEVOLK and many more of their friends’ bands and musicians.

The more ethereal band Jonne, led by the KORPIKLAANI lead vocalist Jonne Järvelä, will unveil a single trilogy started by the single ‘Kaiho’ that was released in November and also featured WALTARI vocalist Kärtsy Hatakka. The trilogy will be completed with the releases of ‘Tuhka’ in February and ‘Autere’ in March. Both of these songs will also feature vocalist Riikka Jaakkola, familiar from the series Voice Of Finland. All three songs deal with the emotions of death and longing, and will be available for streaming and through other digital service channels.

Italian power-prog metal band ALTAIR released the debut full length “Lost Eden” in 2013. The first single from the album won an important online contest whose first prize was the collaboration of Fabio Lione from Rhapsody, who recorded for Altair the track “Power of the Gods”. ALTAIR played in clubs and festival all around Italy, sometimes sharing the stage with important artists like Freedom Call, Fabio Lione, Trick or Treat, Kaledon, Vanexa, Sabotage and in an open air festival in Kiev with Blind Guardian and Rotting Christ. In October 2016 the second full length, “Descending: A Devilish Comedy” was recorded at Domination Studio with Simone Mularoni. The album was unleashed to the masses on June 30th, 2017 via Sleaszy Rider Records. “Descending…” is a concept album, running through the circles of hell, that exists only in our minds, where all the fears, vices, virtues and the dark side of the human kind are showed in the form of a theatre comedy.

Back in 2008, ALESTORM were mere newcomers and beginners – and yet they created a modern metal classic and a completely new subgenre. Captain Morgan`s Revenge marks the birth of Pirate Metal as we know it today and turned a couple of young Scotsmen into the hottest band the modern metal scene has to offer! Ten years later and sold-out shows all over the world, their boozy debut gets its well-deserved anniversary treatment and will be re-released on January 26th 2018 with Napalm Records!

Captain Morgan`s Revenge – 10th Anniversary Edition has received a fresh remix and remastering by original producer Lasse Lammert at his LSD studios and will be coming with a rejuvenated artwork. Alongside the ‘Live At Summer Breeze‘ bonus disc, this re-release will be a true gem for all collectors, new fans and nostalgics alike!

“Oh wow! Can’t believe it’s been 10 years already since we made this record. We were all terrible musicians back then, and it was only thanks to the immense skill of our producer Lasse Lammert that we managed to salvage a passable bunch of songs. But anyway, it seems a bunch of you people seemed to like this album, so we decided to give it a bit of spit and polish for the 10th anniversary. NO, this is not one of those shitty ‘brickwall’ remasters that some bands do, and NO, this is not a re-recording by a bunch of disinterested and jaded old musicians. We’ve taken the original multitrack source material from 10 years ago (bad playing, cheap keyboards, awful vocals and everything), and just re-mixed the whole album to be punchier, tighter, more dynamic, and more sonically delightful than before.
