As AMULET‘s acclaimed new album “The Inevitable War” (8/10 Metal Hammer UK) is released on CD via Dissonance Productions and on vinyl via Back On Black, the band premiere a full new music video for their epic English Civil War era track, “Roundhead”.

Marek “Heathen” Steven from the band comments: “…”Roundhead” is the key track on the album, and it has a great historical theme, so we wanted a suitably epic video. Looking into it, the long-established and brilliant “The Sealed Knot” English Civil War re-enactment company had a – perfectly timed – huge public event in April at historic Basing House in Hampshire.” “The house is a palace that was razed by Cromwell’s parliamentarian forces during one of the largest sieges of the civil war. The ruins are still there and the original Great Barn is completely intact. The Sealed Knot and Hampshire Cultural Trust allowed us full access to the House, the Great Barn plus their event generally and troops. We had very great time making it in such a beautiful and historic location and we enjoyed hanging out with the Knot troops too with many ales drunk that night. Roundhead!”.

British Metal Powerhouse AMULET To Release New Album “The Inevitable War” In May

London metallers AMULET return with a new line-up and a monstrous sophomore album “The Inevitable War”. Founding guitarists Marek “Heathen” Steven and Nippy Blackford put together a killer new line-up who then spent several years crafting a genuine “statement of intent” return. The 9 track continues the band’s song-and-riff-orientated no-bullshit sound but is enhanced by more impressive song structures and performances. The album spans the direct speed metal hit of “Shockwave” to the majestic and lengthy epic “Roundhead”, plus melodic pounder “Burning Hammer” and it features some original lyrical themes.

Added to the line-up are the nimble bass and keys of Sam Mackertich (ex-Deceptor), the immense laser-precise drums of Neil Ganesha, and the incredible and varied pipes of Federico “Mace” Mazza (Asgard). The consistently catchy and varied new album’s secret weapon is a big, timeless production from Nippy’s older brother Tom Blackford. Channeling classic era Martin Birch, he has helped the band capture and craft a fully realized epic sound which retains their raw edge. The album has been mastered by audio guru James Plotkin (Khanate). Previously often labelled NWOBHM, you can put AMULET’s new album in the same ballpark as Iron Maiden, Manowar, Judas Priest and 80’s Black Sabbath in terms of scale and power.

Forming in 2010, the band have earned a great reputation in the underground metal world with their shows and the regularly re-pressed “Cut The Crap” EP, and their Century Media released debut “The First” in 2014. Amulet plan to take “The Inevitable War” to the world during 2019 and 2020. Watch out!

UK London based heavy metallers AMULET have premiered their brand new music video for upcoming 7″ single “Bloody Night”, check it out below. “Bloody Night” is taken from AMULET‘s debut album “The First” that was released in 2014 and took the heavy metal world by storm.

With the brawling street spirit of early 80’s metal, AMULET capture the sound of classic metal, but more importantly, they bring the feeling of fist-to-the-chops-and-don’t-spill-my-pint grit firmly into the 21st century. Formed in 2010, the group is comprised of friends who met at various shows over the years and realized that they all wanted to make the same powerful and honest music. Their demo tape/7″, Cut The Crap (2011), sold out quickly, and soon after that, AMULET began supporting bands like PAGAN ALTAR, MANILLA ROAD and THE SWORD and playing festivals like Bloodstock (UK), Hell’s Pleasure (Germany) and Muskelrock (Sweden). Heavy Metal was founded in England and still lives in England. London’s AMULET quickly gained attention in the underground scene with their demo “Cut The Crap” in 2011. The tape sold out fast as did the 7″ version which is starting to become a collector’s item. After supporting bands like Pagan Altar, Manilla Road & The Sword and playing festivals like Bloodstock (UK), Hell’s Pleasure (Germany) and Muskelrock (Sweden), Century Media Records became very much interested in AMULET. Now a worldwide deal has been signed to spread the gospel of Heavy Metal.

The band announces: “AMULET want to thank all those who have helped take the band to this point, especially the efforts put in from previous axe slingers and of course the mysterious Hangman. To our fans, thanks for storming the front rows and banging your heads. We are excited for the future, it’s time to let Heavy Metal reign supreme!”

AMULET formed in 2010. The group is made up of friends who met at various shows over the years and realized they all wanted to make the same powerful and honest music. Guitarist ‘Heathen Steven’ and bassist ‘Bill Dozer’ founded the band and were soon joined by ‘Dave Sherwood On Drums’, vocalist ‘Jamie Elton’ and completed with the addition of lead guitarist ‘Nippy Blackford’.

The 5 piece is inspired by the golden era of Heavy Metal and Hard Rock but with a focused and slightly doomy riff-heavy sound of their own. You can expect short songs with catchy vocals, heavy riffs, soaring leads and bone shaking bass, driven to the limit with pounding drums. A sound that fits somewhere after ‘classic’ Black Sabbath but before Metallica’s scene defining debut.
