ANCIIENTS Announce European Headlining Tour

Vancouver’s ANCIIENTS have announced a headlining European tour. The tour kicks off March 1 in Belgium and routes through eight countries before concluding in on March 30. A list of confirmed tour dates can be found below.

ANCIIENTS are touring in support of their latest album ‘Voice of the Void’. The stunning combination of extreme, progressive metal, hard rock, and powerful songwriting is streaming now at Bandcamp. ‘Voice of the Void’ was recorded by Jesse Gander (3 INCHES OF BLOOD, BAPTISTS) at Rain City Recordings. The album is available worldwide here.

ANCIIENTS Release Roadburn Festival Recordings

Vancouver’s ANCIIENTS Roadburn Festival 2014 set is streaming here. The band’s Roadburn performance was their first-ever European show, and kicked off their 2014 tour with ASG.

ANCIIENTS have also announced a U.S. appearance as part of next year’s Psycho California Festival. Now in its third year, the Psycho California Festival (formerly Psycho de Mayo) encompasses 54 bands across two stages, live art collaborations and more. The 2015 edition runs March 15-17, and sees ANCIIENTS perform alongside RUSSIAN CIRCLES, PALLBEARER, label-mates KYLESA, OM, ORANGE GOBLIN, CAVE IN, and many more. Tickets for the show are available here. A full lineup can be seen below.

Footage of ANCIIENTS drummer Mike Hannay performing the track “Faith and Oath” has surfaced here. The footage was taken during the critically-acclaimed band’s show as part of CBC Radio’s ” The Toque Sessions”. “The Toque Sessions” are a series of Mid-winter concerts at the CBC studios in downtown Vancouver. All shows as part of the Toque Sessions are free, and showcase music from national talent in the genres of Rock, blues, country, classical, electronic and  more.

ANCIIENTS recently finished the tour cycle for their debut album, ‘Heart of Oak’, and are deep in the process of writing material for their new album. The as-yet untitled album will be released in late 2015 by Season of Mist.

INTRONAUT: Announce New Run Of 10 Year Anniversary Tour Dates, Continue To Support Habitual Levitations

INTRONAUT will hit the road again after a short break and their recent tour with TesseracT. The band has been on the road in support of their current album Habitual Levitations ever since its release on Century Media in March of 2013. This special run of shows is in celebration of the band’s 10 year anniversary!

Guitarist/singer Sacha Dunable had this to say about the tour:

“We’re taking a break from writing a new record to celebrate our 10th anniversary as a band with this special run of shows. We haven’t finalized a set list yet, but expect at least one song from every release, and maybe a special guest or two to come out and help us play them. Joining us on these shows will be our Canadian friends Anciients, and the LA show will feature Ides Of Gemini, Silver Snakes, and The Great Wall.

We are also planning a couple special 10th Anniversary releases, hopefully to be available by this tour, so keep an eye out for that. Thank you to everyone who has supported Intronaut for these past 10 years! We love you forever.”
