Swedish metallers DEGRADEAD have issued the following:
Part 5 by the guitarist Anders Nyström:
Hello everybody, this is Anders, reporting from the kitchen!
Right now I´m preparing dinner for my 30th birtday party! Just got home from IKEA where I bought a new ceiling lamp. Now that´s how you celebrate your birthday at this age. No, actually my birthday is tomorrow so that´s when I celebrate.
Our little pre-release party went great! Many of our friends and family attended the party and we had a whole lot of fun! The feedback on the album was overall very positive. That is good to hear, because we´ve really worked hard on it.
Much of what is coming now is on our record company Metalville. A video recording is on the way. We do not know to which song yet. We have a few options for people to work with. When the budget and everything is ready, we decide on which song.
I think the whole concept of the album has went really good. We got very much done in such a short time, with a good result. Everybody in the process of the album-making has behaved really professional and we all stuck to the plan. Everybody came up with very good ideas. It was awesome working with Plec. He is our recording engineer, mastering engineer and producer. A big THANK YOU to Plec!
Plec is easy to work with, he´s open to ideas, which in the end has made the album feel a little bit more alive! Now that this huge project with the CD is almost done, things are settling down a bit. It usually does after these things. When you come home from tours and likely it is good to take a break and relax.. It is nice with some distance from it all. It´s necessary!
The album cover is not really done yet, so this is one of the things we are working with up until april or may, when we´ve said the new album should be released. Our ideas are finished and done, but not yet the physical cover. The inspiration for the cover is directly connected to the album-title, and you´ll soon see what I mean with this.
Right now we just want to get as many gigs as possible. Everywhere in the world.
Stay patient, the beast is coming soon…
