The artwork for “Hidden Evolution” was handled by Gyula Havancsák / Hjules.com, who has also decorated album sleeves for bands such as Annihilator, Destruction, Stratovarius, Grave Digger or also Nightingale. The album was once again recorded in Moita, Portugal at Ultrasound Studio with producer Daniel Cardoso (Anneke Van Giersbergen, Anathema, etc.) and features a lead-guitar guest-appearance by Chris Amott (Armageddon, ex Arch Enemy) on the song “Speed Of Light”. The release is available as special edition CD with an O-card packaging in its initial pressing, featuring a cover version of Deep Purple’s “Highway Star” as bonus. ANGELUS APATRIDA’s Guillermo Izquierdo (Vocals/Guitars) checked in to comment as follows about the track: “Ever since I was a kid I’ve been fascinated by astronomy, the universe, the planets and the origin of life. I’ve always considered myself very interested in the UFO phenomenon and everything involving aliens and extraterrestrial forms of life. Since we started working on this song I had the feeling that I wanted to speak about that, emphasizing the “conspiranoid” elements that consider that human life could be the result of much older civilizations that lived on planet earth way before us.”

Spanish thrashers ANGELUS APATRIDA are gearing up for their upcoming 5th studio album, Hidden Evolution, which is set to be released on January 19th in Europe and January 27th in North America (digital only) via Century Media Records.
Now, ANGELUS APATRIDA has been announced for a comprehensive European tour together with SUICIDAL ANGELS and new labelmates DR. LIVING DEAD! in February/March 2015 to support the release of the album.

The same creative staff that worked on the band’s previous two studio recordings, “Clockwork” (2010) and “The Call” (2012), has teamed up with them again for this new effort, entitled “Hidden Evolution”, once again recorded in Moita, Portugal at Ultrasound Studio with producer Daniel Cardoso (Anneke Van Giersbergen, Anathema, etc. and will be released on January 19th, 2015.The band states; “It’s been the hardest recording work we ever done, but we couldn’t be happier about how it sounds. Inspiration for the music in this album came from all the experiences we lived through on the road during the last two years and the result sounds more elaborated.
