Already making waves in their home country of Denmark, ASHES OF BILLY (ages 14,15,16) may be young, but they deliver a sound well beyond their years with a blend of rock tinged with nostalgic hints of the Seattle 90’s grunge scene. Continuing to build on the momentum they created with their most recent singles, the young band is now ready with their brand new EP and title track ‘Obscene’ – watch the accompanying lyric video above.
“The direction of the EP shows where we wanna go with our sound. We always try to do new things, and try to better ourselves. We are still very young, and we still try to experiment with a lot of different styles of music and musical elements. With that being said, our EP is about growing up, and all the different things you experience while doing so. These are shared experiences that many of us encounter at various stages in our lives, and we’re delighted to share some of ours with you. We hope that listeners can relate to our songs since it’s one of the main reasons we make music. Crafting this EP has been an incredible journey, and we’re eagerly looking forward to showing everyone what’s next”, the band explains.
Since forming in 2022, the young trio has self-released two EP’s – ‘Playdate’ in 2022 and ‘The Right Place’ in 2023 – with multiple singles in rotation on national radio station myRock as well as being featured in Classic Rock Magazine’s ‘Tracks Of The Week’. Furthermore the band has played more than a dozen shows nationwide, including support for acts such as Red Warszawa, Siamese and Psyched Up Janis.
After signing a management deal with Prime Collective (CABAL, Siamese, DISTANT) in the spring of 2023, the trio is now ready to present their EP ‘Obscene’, which is produced, mixed and mastered by renowned producer Tue Madsen (Babymetal, Behemoth, Meshuggah, i.e.).
The new EP is already available on all streaming services, through Prime Collective.
