Italian versatile prog metallers BAD AS have released a vocals recording session video for “Black Star”, taken from the band’s upcoming debut album, entitled “Midnight Curse”, set to be released on November 30th.

Furthermore BAD AS have revealed that the new album will be even more powerful and melodic than the previous “More Pain More Gain”. While ‘Hard Rock’ is the foundation of BAD AS (formerly BADASS) works, the depths of their music expresses a crossover of genres including metal and prog, taking influence from legends such as Metallica, Megadeth, Whitesnake and DIO. With little more than a year’s worth of action as BAD AS, the members themselves are world renowned, and are no strangers to the music world.

Furthermore, BAD AS have just recently announced their new singer and drummer, completing so the band’s line-up:
“We are proud to announce that our new singer will be the young (22 years old!) but really talented Mattia Martin, from Italy. Mattia started playing guitar at the age 7, being part of various cover bands in his region and starting already to give life to his voice in some bands. Then, at 20, he started taking vocal lessons and collaborating with various band such as NightDive. He also recorded choirs for band such as Temperance and Kalidia. His voice is inspired by singer such as Ronnie James Dio, Jorn and many others… melodic and aggressive at the same time.”
“We are glad to announce that Italian drummer Marino De Bortoli has joined the band and we are now ready to kick ass! Marino started learning drums at the age of 12 and he has more than 30 years of experience. Marino has played with several bands also touring around the world (for example in Russia and Ucraina with Le Basour). He is now currently working as session man, drum teacher and of course as BAD AS human drum machine!”

As previously announced, ALBERTO RIGONI (solo, BAD AS, Bassists Alliance Project, Vivaldi Metal Project, The Italians, Kim Bingham) entered ALPHA OMEGA Management team, as Attorney, additionally he will also take care of A&R and Marketing Management.
Alberto Rigoni is an Italian bass player and composer, internationally known for his career as a solo artist and as a member of the metal band BAD AS, The Italians, Lady & THE BASS, co-producer of the Vivaldi Metal Project and ex member progressive rock band TwinSpirits (no more active). His solo albums, released worldwide between 2008 and 2018): Something Different, Rebirth, Three Wise Monkeys, Overloaded, Bassorama, Duality and EvoRevolution (coming out June 8th, 2018), floating between progressive rock metal and fusion, also featured by legendary musicians such as Kevin Moore (ex Dream Theater), Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree, King Crimson), Göran Edman (ex Yngwie Malmsteen), Michael Manring, Marco Minnemann (The Aristocrats, Paul Gilbert) and many others.
Alberto has also recorded for several international artists such as Italian pop singer Alexia and is now playing bass for Canadian rock singer and songwriter Kim Bingham (Nelly Furtado) and The Italians, sharing stages with artists such as Alan Parsons, Suzanne Vega, Jørn Lande, Paul Gilbert and others.
Rigoni is currently working on his new seventh solo album “EvoRevolution” featuring drummer Marco Minnemann (The Aristocrats, Paul Gilbert) that will be released on June 8th, 2018. He is also composing a new BAD AS album.
