BLIND CHANNEL release their infamous boyband cover EVERYBODY (BLOODBROS BACK). After releasing their latest album EXIT EMOTIONSin March 2024, the chart-topping Finnish nu-metal stars are finally unleashing their legendary cover EVERYBODY (BLOODBROS BACK) of Backstreet Boys’ 1997 hit single ‘Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)’. The cover, which has been part of the bands’ live set-list all over the US and Europe, can already be considered a fan-favorite and turns the original boyband pop song into a high-octane headbanger that will have both metalheads and 90s fans moshing together.
The track comes with an impressive music video that recaps the band’s significant growth and success over the past three years and showcases their non-stop dedication to their career.
The band shares about the single: “Over 10 years ago we were starting our career as a group of teenagers playing energetic metal while being dressed like 2010’s Justin Biebers. People started calling us a ”boyband trying to play metal”. We chose to embrace what was originally meant as an insult. Now it’s time to turn this absolute boyband-classic from our live shows to a full-on studio version with low tuned guitars & modern nu metal vibes. Instead of ”original and sexual” we are ”emotional and miserable”. Check out our cover of this iconic song and the music video recapping our career’s craziest moments on & off stage.”
Finnish chart-topping nu-metal stars BLIND CHANNEL have released their new album, Exit Emotions!
Riding high on the success of the record’s lead-off single DEADZONE, which is currently #26 on US Active Rock Airplay Charts, and their freshly released feature XOXO with From Ashes To New, the Finnish sextet is ecstatic to finally reveal their highly anticipated 5th long-player.
The band shares about the album: “Exit Emotions is our most international sounding record, since aside Finland the songwriting process took place in Berlin, London, and Los Angeles. We worked with Zakk Cervini, Dan Lancaster, Johnny Andrews, RORY, From Ashes to New and Jason Aalon Butler from Fever 333. These collaborations helped us develop our sound, without losing the ingredients that make us Blind Channel. It’s the first album we’ve approached from a live perspective, showcasing the raw energy of our live shows. Everything is heavier, from the tuning of our instruments to the topics we’re screaming about.
Everything began on one of our European tours, when we came across a shady underground club, filled with aggressive music, red flashing lights and people having the time of their lives. Spikeballs were hanging from the ceiling and exit signs were glowing in the surrounding darkness. That’s when it hit us. This was a place where people would come to exit their emotions and live in the moment. That’s what we want to offer with this album and the upcoming live shows.”
Finnish chart-topping Nu-Metal stars BLIND CHANNEL have released their newest single, “DEADZONE” , along with an accompanying music video. The band’s latest track further realizes their ‘violent pop’ ambitions – showcasing catchy hooks, an anthemic chorus, and the melding of metal instrumentals with electronic/DJ effects. The new song is undeniably modern and infectious, while also cementing itself in the hard-hitting, irreverent sensibilities of heavy music from past decades. The backstory behind the wild, adrenaline-pumping music video traces back to the origins of the band’s formation.
Commenting on the single, BLIND CHANNEL share:
“DEADZONE is one of our favorite songs we’ve ever written. It’s a song about reaching the point of no return. You gotta make a choice, to give up or keep going. DEADZONE is the moment of absolute uncertainty. We’ve been there. Maybe you’ve been there as well.
Addressing the musical chemistry of the song, the band adds:
“We wrote this song in Los Angeles with the rock-writer-legend Johnny Andrews, who’s written hits for Three Days Grace and Apocalyptica. During those sessions we managed to combine our musical DNA from the early 2000s rock music with everything we love in mainstream music today. The music video was inspired by the true story about the formation of Blind Channel ten years ago.”
DEADZONE was co-written by Johnny Andrews, whose works includes credits with Three Days Grace and Apocalyptica, mixed by Grammy-nominated engineer Zakk Cervini (Blink-182, Machine Gun Kelly, Yungblud), and produced by the band.
After releasing their single “FLATLINE” last February, which was accompanied by extensive touring-activities (EU Headline Tour / I Prevail EU-UK Tour / Electric Callboy Stadium Tour), BLIND CHANNEL are back with another banger entitled “HAPPY DOOMSDAY”.
The new single shows the band in a sophisticated way which can be clearly described as ‘violent pop’. Catchy, addictive and contemporary!
Nico (vocals) comments as follows: ”The time around writing this song was a time of continuous bad news for us. Every day felt like another end of the world, which turned into a joke in the studio: ‘Happy Doomsday to you’. Frustrated, we noticed that panic only leads to more panic and wrote this song as an alternative, to sit back and enjoy the ride until all the hardships turn to yesterday’s news. The song gave us a good time, and we hope it can give that to others as well!“

“It took me eight years to become an overnight success” – this line, buried away in BLIND CHANNEL’s fourth album, Lifestyles Of The Sick & Dangerous, is where their uncompromising journey finds its continuation. When forming in 2013 in Oulu, Finland, vocalists Niko and Joel Hokka, drummer Tommi Lalli, guitarist Joonas Porko and bass player Olli Matela (plus the later addition of DJ/percussionist Alex Mattson) knew that it was all about going big or going home. This is exactly what they did when they found their way onto the largest stage in Europe: Eurovision, after competing in the Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK), Finland’s annual contest to discover their entry. Winning the spot, by the largest landslide the competition has seen, BLIND CHANNEL captivated the continent with their fiery nu-metal charge: “Dark Side”.
However, Eurovision isn’t the crux of BLIND CHANNEL’s story. This stepping-stone that saw them take to that hallowed stage, was just that: a gambit towards the bigger picture. While it did allow them to amass even more followers, they had already been building a fervent fanbase over the years, thanks to their three previous albums: Revolutions (2016), Blood Brothers (2018), Violent Pop (2020).
Lifestyles Of The Sick & Dangerous takes the next step, offering a swagger-filled, sincere depiction of their lives, backed by their trademark unforgiving “violent pop music”. A winking homage to the Good Charlotte track “Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous”, it’s most importantly a righteous statement of intent – this is only the beginning.
After releasing their latest full-length, Lifestyles Of The Sick & Dangerous, last year to critical acclaim, selling out shows across Europe on their headline tour, plus supporting Electric Callboy and other massive acts on the road, Finland’s BLIND CHANNEL are kicking off 2023 with a banger; their new standalone single, “FLATLINE“, is streaming now via Century Media RecordsHERE
BLIND CHANNEL comments: “This is the beginning of the next chapter of our career. ‘FLATLINE’ is Blind Channel on steroids. We captured the energy of last year’s 130 shows into one song, and threw it to a Berlin rave full of red lights and hardcore partying. The song was written with songwriter duo Blyne (David Guetta, Robin Schuldz etc.), and at the same time, it’s one of the heaviest tracks we’ve ever made. So this sh*t is pretty unique from the scratch. If you’re sick & tired of ups and downs, this song might help you.”

Finnish post-hardcore ‘violent pop’ collective BLIND CHANNEL have released their brand new single ‘Don’t Fix Me’, taken from the forthcoming album Lifestyles Of The Sick & Dangerous.
‘Don’t Fix Me’ is a huge rock anthem, where mighty riffs and pummelling drums meet synths, captivating harmonies and a frenzied rap from vocalist Niko Moilanen. The accompanying video captures the band on the road during their recent tours across the US and Europe which is available to watch HERE
Regarding the single Blind Channel say, “‘ Don’t Fix Me’ continues the theme of brokeness, featured on the upcoming album. However, this time we decided to be empowering and uplifting and wrote something people wanna scream while having the craziest time of their lives. This song is the soundtrack for the wildest parties and the cure for the day-after’s hangover.”
‘Don’t Fix Me’ is the latest song to be taken from the band’s upcoming fourth album Lifestyles Of The Sick & Dangerous, which also features the previously released award-winning and multi-million streamed singles including ‘Bad Idea’, ‘Dark Side’ ‘Balboa’ and ‘We Are No Saints’.
Blind Channel were the most successful artist at the recent Finnish Grammy Awards (Emma Gala) last month, where they received six awards, including two for ‘Dark Side’ (‘Song Of The Year’ & ‘Most Streamed Song’). They also were awarded ‘Band Of The Year’, ‘Artist Of The Year’ (by public vote), ‘Rock Of The Year’ and the ‘Export Award’ – the latter testament to their rapidly rising international profile having spent almost the entirety of this year on the road throughout the US, Europe and UK.
