According to NeeCee Agency, The official 1’15” teaser for “Blindness of the Sun”, the upcoming work of the progressive sludge metallers VAREGO, can be seen here:

Due on the 2nd of September through Argonauta Records, “Blindness of the Sun” will be available as CD, in limited edition 300 copies in distinctive 7″ sleeve. The band is actually working on their next videoclip for the song “Hesperian”, the first single from the EP.

VAREGO Reveal New EP Details

NeeCee Agency has issued that the Italian Progressive Sludge Metallers VAREGO reveal new details on their forthcoming work. The release, entitled “Blindness of the Sun”, will be available worldwide on the 2nd of September 2013.

The new ep is a natural progression of the esoteric concept developed in the previous album “TVMVLTVM”, which received positive feedback across the board. The band completed the work together with producer Billy Anderson (Sleep, EyeHateGod). It consists of four new songs on mysticism and spirituality, as suggested by the cover artwork created exclusively for the band by the talented artist Marco Castagnetto (ZenPunkArt.com).

VAREGO are extremely proud of the artistic experience of working with JARBOE (ex Swans), who honored the band with her unique and enchanting voice, full of emotion and strength, giving life to an authentic storm of avantgarde chaos.

Also, on trumpets in one song, there is a special partnership with the Free-Jazz musician Giovanni “JJ” Sansone, known also for his co-operation with well known acts on the Italian music scene such as Casino Royale and La Crus.

This ep will be available as a Limited Edition CD (300 copies), in similar 7″ jackets, with entirely handmade packaging.
