Finnish Melodic-Death/Power-Metal newcomers GLADENFOLD are going to release their new studio album, “When Gods Descend”, on May 24th, via REAPER ENTERTAINMENT.

The band has released the first single titled ‘Brothers’ right in time for the pre-order start today. The song can be heard and watched in the form of a music video over here:

The video was filmed on 23 February 2019 in Marttila (Finland) by Tomi Uusitupa who did the post-production duties as well.

The band states:
“Brothers” is a straight-forward power metal tune with uplifting melodies and catchy chorus, enriched with melodic death metal vibes and symphonic elements.
In other words, it includes all the essential features for a typical Gladenfold song, presented in less than 4 minutes. Thus, we obviously felt it is a good choice for a single/music video, and a great opportunity to introduce our style for those who have not heard of us yet!”

On the upcoming album, the band explores new sonic territories with ambitious musical scale and production, while refining their core based on the distinct combination of Melodic-Death and Power-Metal. The album encompasses everything from the softest ballad, through concise and crushing pieces, to longer epics that draw you in for the long haul.

The album was recorded in many places, but mixed and mastered at Noise For Fiction Studios in Lieto (Finland) by producer Joona Lukala. The stunning cover artwork was created by Anders Öström (BLIND STARE).
