More than thirty musicians from Italy and the rest of the world gathered in a cover of ‘Radio Nowhere’ by Bruce Springsteen to give a voice of union and closeness to people in difficulty and to doctors, nurses and health workers in the front line against COVID-19. Watch the video below.

“ANTIVIRUS: ROCK STRIKES CORONA” is the name of the project, created by the Rock For Rookies channel (active for over two years on the web with content dedicated to young emerging bands), which will be online with the video of the collaborative cover from April 8th at the same time to a collection whose proceeds will go to the Parma Red Cross and scientific research.

“Music was born to vibrate the soul, to upset and to throw out all the emotions. Behind every problem, there is always a song that can help us win”says Sebastiano Cavallo of Rock For Rookies, organizer of the initiative “in this fight against covid we believe that music must also do its part: Radio Nowhere, its loaded, his text and the passion of the Boss perfectly embody the message of strength that we want to launch with rock hits!”

Young, determined and hungry for life, the musicians ready to dare and experiment, overcoming the imaginary line of silence that quarantine creates in these difficult days: an independent rock band from all over the world, in the wake of the great beneficial musical projects of the past such as “We Are The World” and “Tomorrow 21-04-09”, composed of electric and acoustic guitarists, bassists, drummers and percussionists, singers and choristers with an arrangement that also includes Celtic harp, Guzheng (Chinese zither), wind instruments and an intervention rap, in a video that will also contain a final message directly from doctors and nurses on the front lines in hospitals.

The song, arranged, mixed and mastered by Tommaso Olivieri, and the video of the project “Antivirus: Rock Strikes Corona” is already available on YouTube together with the fundraiser from 8th April 2020 on the Rock For Rookies channels and for all musicians and projects’ participants.

The creator of the project, Sebastiano Cavallo, musician and son of Gianluigi Cavallo (ex singer of the legendary Litfiba), contacted the various artists (emerging and otherwise) to create this splendid project by combining music, with the desire to help in this black period for the nation and the world! In the project as guests also appear Mr. Jack, singer and multi-instrumentalist who has collaborated and works with great artists: Marty Friedman (Megadeath), Enzo Donnarumma (Enzo and the glory ensemble), Philip Bynoe (Steve Vai), Mistheria (Vivaldi Metal project , Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden) etc. Raffo Albanese, singer of the metal band FROM THE DEAPTH.

With this project we hope to give great support to those who need the most indestructible thing in the world, which is music! To create and complete everything, it took about a month, between recordings, filming, editing and everything else.

The various participants have given all their utmost to bring out the project in the best way and ensure that everything has had an extraordinary sense to fight this bad period!
More than 120 tracks to mix (choruses, voices, drums, woodwinds, keyboards, guitars, basses etc.) and more than a week of total work for the final work.
