Hampshire metallers BURY TOMORROW have posted the video for ‘Man On Fire’ online, following its exclusive first play on last night’s BBC Radio 1 Rock Show hosted by Daniel P Carter. Check it out below:
Speaking about the clip, singer Dani Winter-Bates says, “Each song on »Runes« draws its inspiration from each of the runic symbols they are linked to. ‘Man On Fire’ is about the struggle of human kind’s sanity in an ever-changing world. The song itself is linked with the Rune for Man/Humankind and follows lyrically the ideas of a figure fighting their own thoughts and their fears getting the better of them. We worked closely with Sitcom Soldiers to visually bring the ideas with the song to life. We couldn’t be happier with the way it came out!”
‘Man On Fire’ is taken from the quintet’s eagerly-anticipated new album, »Runes«, set for release on Nuclear Blast on May 26th. Hampshire metallers, BURY TOMORROW, are now streaming their brand new track, ‘Watcher’ which is taken from their forthcoming third album, entitled ‘Runes’, set to be released on May 30th, 2014 on Nuclear Blast Records.
“We felt this song gave the best representation of the sound we have gone for with Runes. Watcher shows our heavy and melodic side really well and we were stoked to show the world some new riffs,” says frontman, Daniel Winter-Bates. “The response so far has been beyond our expectations, people seem to have completely got what we were going for musically and lyrically. We can’t wait to release an official single but for now this is a little taster. Runes is the album we have always wanted to make and we cannot wait for everyone to hear it. Progressing from (2012’s) ‘Union of Crowns’, we’ve tried to capture our favourite era of metalcore whilst blending the nuances of what make the genre so great today. It’s a faster, more aggressive album, but it still sounds like us, we couldn’t be prouder of it!”
The band can also reveal a tour of intiminate venues around the UK in support of the album’s release.
