The track’s fierce and energetic mood is perfectly captured through its relentless pace and fiery instrumentation, showcasing the unique talents of HIGHSOCIETY and BVLVNCE. It’s a perfect match made in a chaotic maelstrom, and we’re here to ride it out.
“As early champions of the “rocktronic” movement, BVLVNCE and I found common ground years ago through our mutual fascination with merging metalcore and bass music,” explains HIGHSOCIETY. “Following numerous discussions about joining forces on a project, fate intervened, paving the way for ‘Echoes.’ This track serves as a testament to our musical kinship, capturing our shared passion for crafting aggressive, uncompromising compositions that seamlessly fuse the raw intensity of metal with the sophisticated production of electronic bass music.”
“HIGHSOCIETY and I have been talking about making a track together for about 4 years now. We share a similar background as metalcore band guys that moved into the EDM space with their solo projects,”BVLVNCE adds. “I feel like him and I share the same brain when it comes to music production. I was so happy to finally collaborate with him on something, and really excited that it’s releasing via FiXT.
The track itself is about attachment styles within relationships. The song is written from the perspective of a person with an avoidant attachment style, while they are with someone who has an anxious attachment style. It highlights the tough dynamic these two attachment styles can have when they are in a romantic relationship together. I don’t have all the answers, but my hope is that the lyrics could shed light on other peoples struggles within their relationships or within themselves.”
